Sketching her Shadows

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Unveiling the Past

The following week, Satya and Saanvi made their way to the outskirts of the palace, the place where Satya had spent large amount of his life searching for clues. They stood outside the grand gates, now worn and weathered with time. Saanvi's heart pounded in her chest as she gazed at the old walls, the place that had once been her home, but now felt like a distant memory.

"This is where it all began," Satya said softly, his voice full of reverence as he looked at the palace.

Saanvi nodded, her fingers brushing against the iron gate. She could feel a strange energy in the air, as though the past was calling to her, urging her to step inside.

Satya turned to her. "Are you ready?"

Saanvi hesitated for a moment, the memories swirling in her mind, but she nodded. "Yes."

Together, they pushed open the gate, stepping into the grounds of the palace that held so many answers. As they walked through the hallways, Saanvi's eyes darted from one room to the next, trying to connect the dots in her mind. She could almost hear the echoes of her past, faint whispers of a life she had forgotten.

"This is where I used to sketch," Satya said, leading her to a small study room. The walls were lined with faded portraits, sketches of long-gone royals. Saanvi ran her fingers over the sketches, trying to remember.

As they continued through the palace, Saanvi felt a deep sense of familiarity, but the memories were still elusive. They were just out of reach, like a dream slipping away as she tried to hold onto it.

Finally, they arrived at the grand ballroom, the place where Saanvi had spent many nights as a child, dancing under the chandeliers, surrounded by laughter and music. As she stepped into the room, a flood of emotions washed over her.

"This is it," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I remember this place."

Satya watched her carefully, his heart heavy with the knowledge that the truth was within her reach. It was only a matter of time before the memories would come flooding back.

And as Saanvi stood in the ballroom, a single image flashed before her eyes—a young woman, beautiful and strong, standing beside a man she loved, their hands intertwined.

Saanvi gasped. She knew that face. She knew that love.

It was Meera, her past-life self, and she was standing with... Veer.

Satya's heart raced as he saw the recognition in Saanvi's eyes. This was it—the moment they had been waiting for.

"Do you remember?" he asked softly.

Saanvi nodded, tears filling her eyes. "I remember... Meera... and Veer."

The past had finally come alive, and they were ready to face it together.
