Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 529 528: Azhrun Tydral

'Melissa? Master?'

Corey's eyes shone with surprise as he gazed at his two companions who stood at the edge of the crab-like Goliathspawn.

'I never expected to see them here.'

Corey shifted his gaze from Melissa and Old Man Poison to the four people who stood a few meters from his companions.

The first person that caught Corey's attention was a figure who seemed to embody the essence of the sea itself. The figure seemed human, but Corey could sense and see that he was not.

The figure was a man whose presence radiated both tranquility and menace, along with a striking appearance.

His shimmering skin which was covered in faint scales that gleamed like polished aquamarine, seemed to glow faintly in the dim light of the shattered dimension. His lean, muscular frame carried an air of natural strength.

Instead of armor, he wore flowing garments that appeared to be woven from living seaweed and translucent bones. The fabric rippled like water, moving with his every step, and faint patterns resembling ocean waves danced along its surface.

As Corey gazed at the faint patterns, his Eyes of Omniscience noticed that the patterns were actually thousands of runes that were brought together to form a formation.

'Most likely a defensive formation… I wonder what the formation does.'

'He also has runes on his scales. They seem natural compared to his robe.' Corey thought with intrigue.

The man's robe was cinched at his waist with a sash made of braided silver kelp, and hanging from it was a small trident-shaped charm that pulsed faintly with blue light.

The man's hair was long and wavy, with a deep, oceanic blue color that faded into pale silver at the tips. It framed his sharp, angular face, falling past his shoulders like cascading waves.

His eyes were unlike anything mortal. They resembled liquid silver pools that swirled endlessly as if they contained endless tides of the ocean itself. A single glance into them made it feel as though the weight of the abyss was bearing down on them.

Corey's gaze instinctively flicked to the figure's hands. In his right hand, the man held a long, sleek, and jagged trident at the tips.

The moment Corey's gaze landed on the man's Genesis Armament, Corey knew that the weapon was not a mere weapon, it was alive.

Corey felt like if he pushed his Eyes of Omniscience past the minimum he had set for himself for his own sake, he would be able to see what the essence of the Genesis Armament truly was.

However, he felt that the figure would notice if he did such a thing. All of this was just a feeling, but Corey trusted his instincts.

Corey continued observing the trident, and he could see water droplets constantly forming along its length, dripping onto the ground, and then vanishing instantly, almost like all the water droplets landed into nothingness or like it was all an illusion.

Corey frowned when he noticed this, and although what he saw through his Eyes of Omniscience was that the water droplets were actually vanishing, his pure white eyes reflected a haze at the figure's feet, and Corey knew that there was something at the figure's feet.

The urge to unleash more of his Eyes of Omniscience, to increase the intensity of his Eyes of Omniscience, appeared in his heart, but Corey reeled in this urge to not do something he would come to regret.

'Because of my unique senses, I'm able to sense an oppressive aura from the trident, and the air around it feels heavier… almost as if there was an ocean around him.'

Corey furrowed his brows as he observed the man, and the longer he did, the way he saw the man carry himself, his movements which were fluid, yet deliberate, Corey came to the realization that the man wasn't human… Not even close.

'He's a Tier 5… But he's no match for Pamela… Would I be able to defeat him?'

Corey furrowed his brows with a thoughtful expression, and then he shifted his gaze to the remaining three individuals.

'I wonder what his race is.'

Just as Corey had this thought and was about to focus on another individual, Ryan's voice drifted into his ears.

"Ohh, so that's where that bastard was staying… I guess I should not be surprised."

Corey glanced to his left and looked at Ryan.

"Who is he?"

Corey asked, and Ryan scoffed.

"A wicked, petty, lecherous, talented, powerful, and dangerous bastard."

Disgust appeared on Ryan's face as he stared at the figure's handsome scale-covered face, and Corey shifted his gaze back to the figure with a slight furrow of his brows.

"His name is Azhrun Tydral, a Chosen and a prince of the Supreme Sea Kingdom."

'Supreme Sea Kingdom? Supreme Sword Sect?'

Corey raised his brows when he heard this, and he could not help but glance at Ryan. Ryan noticed his glance, and he scoffed.

"Just because my sect and his kingdom have the 'Supreme' title, that doesn't mean we're allies… But we're not enemies. We're neutral towards each other, but I dislike that fellow."

"He's just a talented lazy fellow."

Ryan frowned as he gazed at Azhrun. He shifted his gaze to the Old Man Poison, Melissa, and the remaining three people who stood close to the edge of the crab-like Goliathspawn.

"Two Tier 4 Underworld residents. I know of Melissa because she's acquainted with Divine, the heir of the House of Divine, but I don't know of the other Tier 4. Who is he?"

Corey's brows rose when he heard this, and he had to stop himself from looking at Ryan with a surprised expression.

'You know of Melissa, but you don't know me?... Is it because I'm a Tier 2 and because I did not show what I'm capable of, so people ignored me even though I'm part of Divine's group?'

'But I've already exposed what I'm capable of… What a mess.'

Corey sighed inwardly, and then Ryan continued speaking.

"There's also the famous twin maidens of the Temple of Water, Mira, and Lyra Neryss."

'The Temple of Water?' Corey's brows jumped when he heard this, and he could not help but take a serious glance at the twins in the distance.

From what Ashley, the daughter of one of the presidents of New Earth before the apocalypse, and the female teacher who stole his first kiss, told him, the Temple of Water was at odds with the Temple of Flames, and who knows, he might need their help in destroying the Temple of Flames.

'I wonder who the Chosen of the Temple of Flames is.'

Just as Corey had this thought, Ryan continued speaking.

"There's also the 25th son of the second Vice Guildmaster of the Adventurer's Guild, Kaelan Drevar."

'25th?' Corey blinked in surprise.

"How come I didn't know that these guys were also here?"

Ryan asked with a surprised and baffled voice as he gazed at the six individuals that stood close to the edge of the crab-like Goliathspawn. He furrowed his brows in contemplation for some seconds, and then he turned toward Corey.

"Why don't we pay these guys a visit?"

Corey nodded, and then the two of them jumped off the whale-like Goliathspawn, instantly drawing the attention of Old Man Poison, Melissa, Azhrun, Kaelan, and the twins.
