SAVIOURS!

Master Benjamin sat quietly on a mat with his legs folded, his hands joined together and his eyes closed. He was meditating.

"What's up paps?!" An annoying voice called out and he twitched.

"Ha" He sighed. "Do you mind Chris?, I'm trying to concentrate here" He said with a sign of irritation.

"Oh..uh sorry Master, didn't mean to interrupt what..um..you were doing over there" Chris scratched his head and chuckled weirdly.

"But..." He continued.

"I present to you...."

"You talk to much ya know that?" Anne cut him short as she walked into room, Elise and Jules coming afterwards.

Jules wowed at the sight of the room. It wasn't the meeting place from before but a smaller area with a couple of mats spread on the floor. It was endorsed with beautiful lanterns and some weird device stood at the corner.

'A washing machine?' He thought.

"Oh, if it isn't Jules Martin" Master Benjamin smiled warmly.

"Ahh...hello sir" Jules bowed politely.

"Oh don't be so formal" Master Benjamin smiled. "Take a seat" he said.

The others sat down quietly on different mats and Jules did the same.

"Seeing that you're all in your school uniforms, you must've been in quite a hurry" Master Benjamin spoke.

"I also wanted to avoid the kids, those brats been giving me a hard time lately" Anne sighed in frustration.

"Oh yeah? Or maybe this could be karma for all the bad deeds you've been doing lately" Chris grinned.

"Shut it you idiot or the next thing you'll receive is a bullet to your head" Anne said whilst glaring at him.

"Alright alright, fair enough" Chris raised his arms in surrender.

Master Benjamin rolled his eyes. 'These kids' he said inwardly.

"Anyways...." He continued and turned to look at Jules

"I'm guessing you've made a decision" He said.

Jules stared at him for a while and nodded. "Indeed I have and...I agree to join you guys sir" he said.

"I knew you would!" Master Benjamin clapped in satisfaction.

"Ha" Elise sighed and stood up abruptly.

"He agreed to join us so now what?" She asked.

"Isn't it obvious. We introduce him to the world of the Saviours" Chris grinned.

Master Benjamin smiled. "Then, shall we begin?" He asked.

A few minutes later.....

"So like a regular shirt?" Anne asked. Her hands brushing past the pages of a notebook as she spoke.

"Yeah, that'd do" Jules said.

"Alrighty then" Anne smiled.

"Just so you know, I designed the uniforms of the others so it's no big deal" She added.

"Really?" Jules gaped. "That's amazing"

Anne chuckled. "Well...I do design them but that machine over there fills it with an energy barrier" She said, her finger pointing towards the machine in the room.

'Oh, that's what it's used for' Jules thought.

"Wow, that's..."

"Amazing use of technology I know" Anne chuckled.

"Our first member created it, he deals with those kinda things" she smiled proudly.

"First member?" Jules asked.

"Oh, you haven't met Marcus yet!" Anne continued...

"He's out of the city right now but he'll be back soon enough. He's smart and an amazing leader so you'll definitely like him" She smiled.

'Wow' Jules thought.

"I'd love to meet him" He smiled.

"Yeah right" Elise walked in on them. She was putting on a pink hoodie and casual shorts. The white strands of her short hair flowing freely on her face and her glasses complementing it. She had a lollipop to her mouth. It was almost like....she was at home.

"That brat just zoomed outta this city with that stupid motorcycle of his to avoid fighting for a few months" She spoke.

"He's so stupid" She added.

"Hey, that's Marcus you're talking about right now. Your elder brother" Anne protested.

"Elder brother?" Jules asked in surprise.

"Elder brother my foot" Elise said and turned to walk away.

"Oh and..." She turned back at them.

"Welcome to the Saviours Jules" She said blandly and walked away.

Jules stared at the door for a long while.

'She said my name' he thought. 'But it's just my name, why am I getting so flustered?' His cheeks turned red.

"Wow, she welcomed you in such a nonchalant manner and yet here you are blushing. You must really be into her" Anne said in sarcasm.

"Well...." Jules scratched his head.

"No need to get so worked up i'm just messing with ya" Anne chuckled.

"How's my best friend and new group partner doing?" The enthusiastic Chris arrived.

"We're working on a design for his uniform" Anne placed her focus on the notebook once again.

"Anyways, welcome to the group once again Buddy!" Chris hugged Jules for the umpteenth time.

"Hey, no need to get so emotional about it.." Jules tried to escape from Chris's grasp.

"Oh I...."

"Done!" Anne raised up her notebook and sighed in relief.

"Now, to take your measurements" She smiled cheekily.

The evening passed gradually and Jules found himself face to face with Master Benjamin once again.

"Here, have this" Master Benjamin stretched out a small box towards him.

Jules nodded and took the box from him. He slowly began to unwrap it and there it was....

"My very own port-crystal" he admired the shining object in his hand.

Master Benjamin smiled at his reaction. "The key to using it is simple. Speak of your location deep within you and the crystal shall obey"

'That's a lot to take in..' Jules thought.

"I shall put it to good use sir" He bowed politely.

"I told you before, stop being so formal. Call me Uncle or Master" Master Benjamin smiled warmly.

"Oh...okay...Master" Jules stammered.

Master Benjamin nodded in satisfaction. "Come back to our headquarters tomorrow and you shall begin your training"

'Training?!. Is this for real?' Jules thought.

"Now, get going to your family"

"Okay sir...I mean Master" Jules nodded politely and walked out of the room.

He was met with Chris afterwards....

"Let's get going buddy, it's getting late"

"Alright" Jules agreed.

"Oh and also...thanks Chris" He smiled.

"Huh? What for?" Chris asked.

"For everything...I guess" Jules looked up.

"Nah, no need to thank me for being friends with you buddy!" Chris laughed and punched Jules on the shoulder.

"Hey, what was that for?!"

"What? Can't handle that? Aren't you the strongest one here?" Chris teased.

"The strongest....."

'Come to think of it!. My ability hasn't acted up ever since' Jules thought.

'Could it be...'

"Something on your mind buddy?" Chris asked.

"Oh..uh..it's nothing" Jules said hastily.

"By the way, where's Anne?"

"Oh! She went home earlier. Said something about taking care of the kids or whatever that is.."

BACK AT SAVIOURS HEADQUARTERS.....

Elise leaned against the wall as she watched Master Benjamin scroll through the pages of a book.

"Quit staring already. I could sense your energy the moment you set foot in here" Master Benjamin spoke, his gaze still focused on his book.

"I know" Elise walked closer to him..

"Tell me something....Dad" she sat before him.

"And what could that be my dear?" Master Benjamin asked and diverted his attention towards her this time.

"What are your thoughts towards Jules Martin?. Think he'll last long?" Elise asked. Her gaze focused on his every reaction.

"Hmm" Master Benjamin thought for a while.

"I guess we'll know soon enough" He smiled.

THE NEXT DAY, 3:46PM

"Be right back sis" Jules waved goodbye to Charlotte and walked out soon afterwards.

"Alright Jules, have fun!" Charlotte said happily.

'It feels so nice to see him getting along with Chris so well" she smiled brightly.

"How could this happen right before I was meant to begin training?" Jules frowned. "Ha, I guess I've got no choice but to tell them" he sighed in frustration.

"Well, gotta find somewhere quiet and free from people for now" He then looked around hastily.

He walked for a while until he arrived at a barely developed building.

"Nice, this should do it" He sighed in satisfaction.

"Now, what was I supposed to do again?" He thought.

"Speak of your location deep within you and the crystal shall obey" .

He was reminded of Master Benjamin's words.

"Right" he said. He then closed his eyes and stretched out his port-crystal with both arms.

'To the Saviours headquarters' he said inwardly.

He opened his eyes and was met with a portal.

"Wow, this is so cool!" He smiled excitedly and in no time, he walked into it.

AT SAVIOURS HEADQUARTERS.

Jules coughed loudly as soon as he walked out of the portal.

'I'll never get used to this so easily huh?' He thought.

"Jules!!!" A masculine voice yelled.

"Huh?" Jules looked up. "Chris?!" He was surprised to see Chris running towards him and he looked...horrified.

"Chris...is there something..."

"Right on time Jules, we have an emergency!" Chris spoke admist heavy breaths.

"An...an emergency?" Jules asked with raised brows.

"Yes, a serious one! And you're the only one who can help us!" Chris said, his expression revealed it all. This was certainly serious!

"And...y..ou..need my help?" Jules stammered. 'Could it involve my ability? If it does then...'

"Yes, come with me!" Chris yanked Jules by the wrist and Jules found himself running with him to wherever the emergency was.

"Here" Chris breathed heavily.

Jules turned to look at the commotion and was shocked.

"Anne?! Is that you?!" He exclaimed.

"Hel..p..help me" Anne coughed.

"Anne Moreau!, how in the world did this happen?!" Master Benjamin facepalmed in frustration.

"Relax Anne, Jules is here" Elise spoke calmly.

Jules stared at Anne still in shock.

'A boulder!, There's a freaking boulder untop of her!'

"I'm...sorry m..aster, I was...just practicing a stunt" Anne said whilst breathing heavily.

"For Goodness sake, couldn't you practice it somewhere else?!. Away from the stone area?!" Master Benjamin yelled in frustration. He then abruptly turned to look at Jules.

"Jules Martin! Use your super strength to get that boulder away from her! Or she'll die!" He spoke dead serious.

Jules froze in place. 'Wha..what do I do?.., how do I tell them?!' He thought in panic.

"Sir..I mean Master I.." He couldn't find the words to say.

THE PREVIOUS NIGHT....

"Alright, sis is asleep" Jules sighed in relief.

"It's time" he said and walked towards the bathtub.

"But..what if my presumption is wrong? What if I can't control it and I end up destroying the bathtub?" Jules said in deep thought.

"Ha" he sighed. "Wouldn't hurt to take this risk".

He then reached out both arms and placed them below the bathtub in an attempt to lift it up.

"Hmph" he breathed heavily but gained nothing in return, the bathtub barely bulged.

Jules stepped back wide eyed.

'It can't be....'

'I...I lost my ability!!!' Jules thought in horror.
