Chapter 17: A New Reality

Roham's eyes gleamed with a mixture of satisfaction and guilt as he gazed upon Ayra's tranquil face. The forgetfulness spell had worked, erasing all memories of him and their tumultuous past.

With a wave of his hand, Roham summoned a dark portal. "It's time for you to start anew, Ayra," he whispered, his voice devoid of emotion.

Ayra's eyes fluttered open, and she looked around, confused. "Where... where am I?"

Roham's smile was cold and calculating. "You're going to a place where you'll be safe, Ayra. A place where you can forget your past and start anew."

Without another word, Roham gestured to the portal. Ayra, still disoriented, stepped through the shimmering veil and disappeared into the unknown.

Roham watched her go, a sense of relief washing over him. He had eliminated the one person who could have threatened his relationship with Nelly.

On the other side of the portal, Ayra found herself in a stark, white room. The walls were adorned with sterile artwork, and the air was thick with the scent of disinfectant.

A gentle voice spoke from behind her. "Welcome, Ayra. My name is Mr. Mac. You're now a resident of Oakwood Mental Institution."

Ayra's eyes widened in horror as she stumbled backward, her mind reeling with questions. "What... what am I doing here?"

Mr. Mac's expression was sympathetic. "You've been diagnosed with dissociative amnesia, Ayra. You don't remember who you are or how you got here."

A soft-spoken nurse, Vanessa, stepped forward, her eyes kind. "Don't worry, Ayra. We'll help you get your memories back. But for now, let's focus on getting you settled."

As the reality of her situation sank in, Ayra's world began to crumble. She was trapped in a place where no one knew her true identity, and she had no memory of her past.

Roham's plan had been executed flawlessly. Ayra was now a pawn in his game of power, a forgotten relic of a past he sought to erase.
