Chapter 16: A Memory Lost

Roham's eyes gleamed with a mixture of desperation and longing as he stood before Nelly, the blood witch. His desire for her had grown unbearable, but he knew that his actions had driven her away from him and into the arms of another, Lady Ayra.

"Nelly, I need your help," Roham whispered, his voice laced with urgency. "I want to be with you, but Ayra stands in our way."

Nelly's eyes sparkled with intrigue, and a sly smile spread across her face. "I can help you, Roham. But it won't be easy."

Roham's jaw clenched, his determination evident. "I'll do whatever it takes."

Nelly's smile grew wider. "Very well. I'll cast a spell to erase Ayra's memories of you, making it possible for you to be with me."

Roham's eyes widened in hope, and he nodded eagerly. "Do it."

With a wave of her hand, Nelly conjured a dark, swirling mist. "This is the essence of the forgetfulness spell. It will erase Ayra's memories of you, but it will also change her, make her more... vulnerable."

Roham's eyes gleamed with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. "Do it."

As the mist enveloped Ayra, Roham watched with bated breath. Ayra's eyes fluttered closed, and her body relaxed, as if she were sinking into a deep sleep.

When the mist dissipated, Ayra's eyes opened, and she looked around, confused. "Where... where am I?"

Roham smiled, a sense of triumph washing over him. "You're in the palace, my lady."

Ayra's gaze fell upon Roham, but there was no recognition, no spark of memory. Roham's heart swelled with excitement as he turned to Nelly.

"It's done," Nelly whispered, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Now, you're free to be with me."

Roham's eyes locked onto Nelly's, and he felt a surge of desire. "I'm yours, Nelly. Forever."

As they embraced, the shadows around them seemed to deepen, as if the very darkness itself was celebrating their union.
