Chapter 7: Rain & Blood
As he approached the Yamazaki property, his sharp eyes caught sight of two gate guards in the distance. The guards initially appeared relaxed, but their expressions changed dramatically the moment they recognized who was approaching. Shocked and nervous, they began calling out to their comrades, their voices tinged with panic amidst the heavy rain.
Yet, Yuzuru paid them no mind. He continued his steady stride forward, his every step exuding a calm yet intimidating presence. The torrential rain poured around him, amplifying the dramatic tension of his arrival.
"So, this is it..." Yuzuru muttered expressionlessly, as he observed the figures rushing toward him.
The pouring rain served as the perfect backdrop for the brutal battle about to unfold. Yuzuru stood tall, holding a black umbrella amidst the downpour, facing a horde of enemies surrounding him. They attacked simultaneously. Yuzuru discarded his umbrella and, with sharp and precise movements, launched himself forward with a devastating punch, striking one of the attackers in the chest and sending him flying far back.
A single sidekick launched one enemy, crashing into others behind him, slamming into a wall that shattered before they fell to the ground. Yuzuru continued with quick punches to the face of a nearby opponent. Each of his attacks was brimming with power, hurling his enemies like ragdolls and leaving the ground cracked like biscuits. Blood splattered everywhere, mixing with the rainwater streaming on the ground.
The remaining enemies did not give up easily. They surrounded Yuzuru from all directions. But with extraordinary agility, he twisted his body, dodged an attack from behind, then delivered a frontal punch to the chest, launching his enemy. The sound of cracking bones was followed by screams of agony.
As the number of enemies increased, Yuzuru moved with even greater ferocity. He struck them down with punches, elbows, and even grabbed their heads to slam them into the floor or against other enemies. The heavy rain added to the dramatic atmosphere, making Yuzuru's every movement look like a deadly dance in the midst of the battlefield.
His hands and white suit were now stained with blood, but he showed no signs of slowing down. The remaining enemies attacked in unison, attempting to catch Yuzuru off guard. However, he caught one of their steel rods aimed at his head and crushed it with his bare hands until it bent and shattered. The display left his enemies in shock, fear creeping into their hearts. Yuzuru gazed at them with an indifferent look and spoke in a low, chilling voice, "It's pointless."
"Let's make this quick," his words sent shivers down every enemy's spine.
Yuzuru threw the steel rod aside, took a quick step forward, and delivered a powerful punch to the stomach of an opponent, sending him and the others behind him flying into a wall.
One of the enemies tried to take advantage of Yuzuru's exposed back and attacked from behind with a punch. Without looking, Yuzuru caught him mid-air, slammed him violently into the ground, and then used his body as a weapon to hurl at the other enemies. The sound of the impact echoed even amidst the relentless rain.
The rain grew heavier, enveloping the battlefield in an increasingly ominous atmosphere. Some of the remaining enemies began to retreat, terrified by Yuzuru's strength and his presence, which resembled a white demon dragging them to hell. But Yuzuru didn't stop. He stepped forward, his face remaining calm, his gaze sharp like a sword ready to strike.
In his final attack, he leaped toward the last group of enemies trying to defend themselves. A semi-circular punch struck four enemies simultaneously, sending them crashing to the ground with a loud thud. The remaining enemies, lying unconscious, were no longer capable of fighting back. All that was left were the groans of pain blending with the sound of raindrops.
Under the gray sky and the unrelenting rain, the bodies of his enemies lay scattered on the ground, motionless. Yuzuru stood amidst the puddles mixed with blood. He remained unscathed, his breathing steady, showing no signs of exhaustion. Silently, he stepped forward, leaving the battlefield without looking back.
Yuzuru stepped into the Yamazaki territory with steady steps, his body exuding an intimidating aura that made anyone in his way tremble in fear. Along the way, enemies emerged from all directions, but none could last more than a few seconds. With precise movements, they were taken down like leaves swept away by a storm.
However, amidst the brief silence that followed, Yuzuru's instincts screamed. A more serious threat approached from behind. Without hesitation, he quickly turned, just in time to dodge a katana swing from above. The move was followed by a punch, which he blocked with his foot. With extraordinary speed, Yuzuru used the momentum of the blocked punch to launch himself backward, avoiding the katana slash that followed from the side.
Yuzuru stood still, scanning his opponents with a sharp gaze. They were Watanabe Ryoma, wearing a dark gi with a katana at his side; Takeshi Sota, clad in samurai attire, confidently gripping his katana; and Masaichi Yuma, a large man with bandages wrapped around his abdomen.
"Pathetic," Sota sneered with disdain, then continued, "A rat who ran away returns to reclaim his home."
Yuma responded to Sota with a chuckle, "Don't expect much from someone who ran away to save his own life. He's just a lowly vagabond trying to take back his house."
As they talked, Yuzuru remained calm, gazing at them emotionlessly. After a moment, he interrupted, his voice low but piercing, "Are you finished?"
The words stabbed at their pride. Yuma growled in anger. "What did you say, bastard?!"
Yuzuru simply stared at them coldly, emotionless, and said, "Can you only fight with your mouths? It seems I hit you too hard in the past, causing you amnesia."
The reminder of their past defeat infuriated them. They recalled how Yuzuru had beaten them to the point of unconsciousness, and since then, they had trained tirelessly to take revenge. Now was their chance. But before they could say anything, Yuzuru interrupted again, his tone indifferent, "Let's finish this quickly. I don't have time for nonsense."
With a speed invisible to the naked eye, Yuzuru stepped forward. In an instant, he was already in front of Yuma. Before Yuma could react, Yuzuru delivered a powerful punch to his solar plexus, causing the large man to collapse instantly. Not giving him a chance, Yuzuru struck Yuma's face from above, embedding his head into the wooden floor, then stomped on it hard until it shattered, the sound of cracking reverberating throughout the room.
Ryoma and Sota charged, confident that their katanas would cut down the seemingly unguarded Yuzuru. However, they didn't anticipate Yuzuru using Yuma's headless body as a weapon. With incredible strength, he hurled the massive body at them. Yuma's body struck them like a boulder, sending them sprawling to the ground.
Before Sota could get up, Yuzuru was already in front of him. With one devastating punch, Sota's face was crushed, the sound of bones breaking echoing in the air. His body fell lifelessly to the ground.
Ryoma, now alone, began to tremble. Fear gripped him as he tried to flee. He turned, hoping to save his life, but as soon as he did, Yuzuru was already behind him. Yuzuru's cold gaze was the last thing Ryoma saw before the katana, taken from Sota, moved swiftly. In an instant, Ryoma's vision spun as his head separated from his body, and everything slowly faded to black.
Yuzuru stood amidst the pool of blood, his eyes calm. "Weak…"
He looked ahead, toward his next destination, completely undisturbed by the destruction he left behind.
