Refining the Dao into Godhood: A Tale of the Jie Sect

"Today, you have even realized the Innate Eight Diagrams and Innate Yi Dao, utilizing them to refine Divine Thunders. From this, it is clear that you have already taken the first step in shaping your own Great Dao!"

"Generally speaking, before reaching the Quasi-Saint level, most cultivators specialize in one technique. Those with exceptional talent may practice three to five Principles at the same time, until they encounter a bottleneck and cannot progress, and that's when they will learn from various sources!"

"The Innate Eight Diagrams Great Dao is but an extension of the Innate Four Symbols Great Dao. Although it encompasses everything, its potential is limited and far less than the Innate Yi Dao you've realized!"

"Of course, the Refining Dao you've comprehended also has considerable potential!"

"My suggestion is, between the Innate Yi Dao and the Innate Refining Dao, choose one Great Dao as the core for your future cultivation!"

Upon hearing this, Xuanqing nodded immediately and then said, "Teacher, I understand this principle, but you haven't told me how I can perfect my Taiyi Dao Fruit?"

The Innate Yi Dao has already encompassed the Yin Yang, Four Symbols, and Eight Diagrams Great Dao, possessing endless potential, no less than Taiching's Innate Taiji Great Dao.

However, Xuanqing still plans to take Refining Dao as the core, integrating all techniques to affirm his own way.

The reason is simple!

Cultivators should avoid being fickle and changing their approach frequently. Although the potential of Refining Dao is not as high as that of Innate Yi Dao, it is the Great Dao that is most suitable for him.

"It seems you've made your decision!"

"In essence, Innate Spiritual Treasures and Innate Spirit Roots are equivalent to a Daluo Golden Immortal. Each Innate Spiritual Treasure contains different Great Dao."

"What I refer to as the method of turning the false into the real is to first extract a strand of Dao essence contained within these many Innate Spiritual Treasures, and imprint it upon your spiritual platform!"

"Then you can 'fake cultivate the real,' utilizing that essence within the Inner Scenery Land to evolve the corresponding Principles, and eventually integrate them into your Refining Dao Principles!"

"How great your achievements in the Refining Dao will be depends on how many Dao Principles you have integrated!"

"However, this approach will place tremendous pressure on your Primordial Spirit, and furthermore, the cultivation of the Taiyi Dao Fruit will lead you down a path different from ordinary people!"

"From then on, I will also be unable to offer you more guidance!"

"Have you thought it through?"

Xuanqing was stunned upon hearing this; he hadn't expected the path he chose to be so extraordinary that even a Saint did not know where it would lead.

But then he thought, to encompass all techniques and integrate all Dao—isn't that the way of the God Pangu?

The only difference is that the Pangu God took the Power Great Dao as the outline of the Three Thousand Great Dao; he, on the other hand, uses the Refining Dao as the core, with the Creation Furnace to integrate the various Innate Great Dao!

"There are no roads in this world; once enough people travel, they become roads!"

Thinking of this, Xuanqing immediately bowed to the Tongtian Sect Master and said, "Teacher, I do not regret my choice; please imprint the Dao essence of the many Spirit Treasures onto me!"

The Tongtian Sect Master let out a hearty laugh: "Worthy of being my disciple! If there is no path ahead, then carve out your own!"

Before the words even fell, Tongtian Sect Master directly utilized the power of the Heavenly Dao to extract the Dao essences of various Innate Spiritual Treasures and immediately imprinted them all onto the spiritual platform within Xuanqing.

The Four Swords of Slaying Immortal radiated Sky-reaching Sword Intent, and a sonorous sword cry arose, stirring the changing winds and clouds of the void.

The Water and Fire Gourd swallowed and spat out the Qi of water and fire, transforming into a water and fire that refines the Qilin as it trods through the void, spouting water and breathing flames, demonstrating the profound mysteries of the harmonious coexistence of water and fire in the void.

The Dao essences of over a hundred Innate Spiritual Treasures were simultaneously imprinted onto the spiritual platform of Xuanqing, immediately making him feel as though numerous mountains had been added atop his Primordial Spirit.

These Dao essences, heavy as mountains, were also contending with each other. Even though he was already a Taiyi Golden Immortal, his Primordial Spirit couldn't help but feel a tearing sensation, as if countless ants were gnawing, almost tearing his Primordial Spirit into hundreds of pieces.

However, he had previously obtained much Heavenly Dao Merit. With a flash of Merit Golden Light, he suppressed the various Dao essences, but the pressure on his Primordial Spirit was not alleviated by much.

"Can you still endure it?"

Tongtian Sect Master looked at the gritting Xuanqing, his face revealing a trace of concern.

"No problem!"

Xuanqing waved his hand.

Hearing this, Tongtian Sect Master turned to Taiching Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun: "If that is the case, then I ask my eldest and second brothers to give this youngster some more pressure!"

"Good!"

Taiching Laozi responded first.

With a sweep of his robe sleeve, Innate Spiritual Treasures such as the Tai Chi Diagram, Qiankun Map, Seven Stars Sword, Palm Leaf Fan, Purple Gold Gourd, Xuan Du Purple Mansion Sword, Taiqing Treasure Pearl, Coiled Dragon Flat Stick, Earth Leaving Flame Light Flag, etc., immediately appeared in the void, their immense Dao essences manifesting and then merging into Xuanqing's spiritual platform as streams of light.

Though it was painful, it was all worth it. This was the foundation of his path to enlightenment. If he missed this opportunity, he would not be able to obtain the Dao essences of so many Innate Spiritual Treasures.

Both nodded their heads.

Contemplating, Yuanshi Tianzun lightly moved his fingertip and took out a few drops of Three Lights Divine Water from the pure jade bottle, flicked them, and injected them into Xuanqing's Primordial Spirit.

Xuanqing immediately felt a surge of Creation Power emerge, diminishing much of the tearing sensation in his Primordial Spirit.

"This path is somewhat difficult to tread!"

Tongtian Sect Master continued: "You can discuss more with your senior brother, Duobao, and also seek advice from your second Uncle Master. Your Refining Dao and Artifact Refining Technique share many commonalities; both require the understanding of the Dao essences within the Spiritual Treasures!"

Xuanqing bowed again.

"Hm!"

Tongtian Sect Master nodded: "Go down! Your senior brother, Duobao, and the other fellow disciples also have many Innate Spiritual Treasures that I have previously bestowed. If you have enough energy, you can also borrow them for contemplation!"
