Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 457: The Missing Link

In the Main Mansion of the City of Clans, in the main room.

The sound of things breaking echoed through the mansion as three men were furious.

Whether it was glasses, dishes, expensive decorations, or treasures, they saw everything in less, as they destroyed it left and right.

"Shit, fucking Allen, you've got guts, you bastards!" One of them, the oldest of the three, was the most furious, perhaps because he was the one who had the biggest feud with the Allen Clan.

All his anger was due to the communiqué issued hours earlier. When Jack Allen himself spoke, and Gray Allen and Matthew Dietrich approved it, it meant that the whole Clan agreed with it. Such a hateful statement at a time when they were doing their best to fight the infiltrators and keep the waters calm after so much turmoil.

This just fanned the flames of everything; how could they stay calm? How could they not get angry?

Although they tend to keep up appearances, this time, they couldn't do it. As a result, the main room of this great mansion was littered with waste everywhere. Even expensive treasures were smashed by the hands of the three.

"...They are crossing the line. They seem to keep looking down on my Clan City." Said one of them, and the other sighed.

"We didn't see it coming. I thought the plan of those infiltrators was just the Library, and then they would plan to create some easily dispelled problems. But this has gone too far; who the hell is it that is planning something so strange? He moves as if he has nothing planned, but simultaneously, he uses everything to his advantage. The Clans, how the hell are they going to war suddenly?

Where the hell are there so many deaths from? One died right under my nose, and I couldn't see it! Do those damn bastards have a God?" The eldest of them had every reason to be angry.

He went out to protect one of the Clans' sons because he was his disciple. But he died almost in front of him without even perceiving how it happened. It wasn't until 6 hours later that he realized that there was poison in his food, which was practically prepared by himself.

He died of poison while eating the food prepared by his master!

That caused the said Clan to think that the Leader had betrayed them, and now, the situation is a mess.

They couldn't control the Clans, and the Clans couldn't control themselves. At the same time, everyone's reputation went down the drain because of the rumor of the traitors.

While they were plunged into deep chaos and unable even to think straight, trying to see the plan of their enemies, a figure appeared before them, making them almost recoil in fright, though they quickly recovered. "Sir, long time no see." Said all three at the same time.

This man's appearance was hidden under a white cloak with black, which had an unusual inscription on it. Possibly, it was the symbol of an organization or a group of some organization.

That man who appeared sighed. "Looks like the Strategist on the other side is driving you crazy. Look at how you left the room."

The three of them felt embarrassed. "It's not that simple, Sir. The man is playing with our tactics and even seems to be playing with his own tactics."

"Well, it's obvious. He's playing a splendid game of chess while you're playing at being idiots. Don't expect to beat a chess master when you don't even know you can move pieces on the board." Replied the cloak-covered man as he sneered at them.

"Do you know who he is, sir? If you came from so far away, maybe it's because you have a way to find out who he is. We are not worried about what they will do next; we are simply concerned that our enemy has such a good strategist." One of them asked. They had their suspicions and thought this could all have been done by an Allen.

Possibly Gray Allen, since he is the most powerful. But they were suspicions, nothing more. They had never heard of Gray Allen being such a good strategist, so they might even be unfounded suspicions.

But, if it was the man in front of them, he might have an answer.

Still, he was willing to disappoint them for the first time.

"Who knows? Vampires haven't been good strategists forever; how do you expect me to discover one now? I had only seen such a good kind of strategist in the human race and a few vampire strategists in the organization, so it's strange for me, too." His nonchalant way of speaking surprised the three leaders.

'Does he have another way to counter it?" they thought in confusion and couldn't help but ask.

"So, do you have a way to avoid or counter it? At this rate, the Clans could go to war, and we can't stop it without losses. The Forbidden Library could open at any moment; we don't have time for that."

"Well, the only way to counter a good strategist is with shows of force. Strategists don't tend to be powerful or bold when facing a fight to the death. They are good behind the curtains, manipulating everything. But once they are in front, they become useless. If he brings this to a war, you must find a way to lure him to the front. If you succeed, you win."

The three leaders were slightly confused but understood what he wanted to tell them. Although there were problems in doing so, because of how this person spoke and acted, they immediately realized he was not there to help them.

"Sir, may I know what your intention is in coming here? I see you didn't come here with the idea of helping us. Is it for the Forbidden Library?" One of them asked, causing the man to smile.

"Heh, why would I want to see what's inside the Forbidden Library? We've read it so many times that it already stresses us out. We've already figured out everything that's in there. Thanks to that, the curses will soon scourge the world, and it's time for the Prosperity of our Race to come to us."

"It's time for us to show why we are Superior to the Dietrich Era!" Although his face was not as visible, one still managed to see a smirk of satisfaction and a slightly strange lust. As he spoke, he swung both arms out to the sides and clasped his hands as if grasping something, though it was nothing more than a gesture.

Finally, stop from his exaggerated manner and look at them. "I'm here because we have news. The Missing Link of the Dietrich Era may be near. That stupid vermin that has escaped us so many times is not dead, and as long as she is present, the whole plan could fail. So, any suspects should be reported immediately."
