Chapter 456: Great moves behind the scenes
Robert's eyes shone brightly at that moment. 'How effective!' Intense joy surged within him as he stood up.
"The contract remains the same, Sir. Do what you must do and complete the mission, and then all this will be handed over to you. If you want, I can transfer 50% of everything to you all at once." Seeing the time to concretize his revenge so close, he wasn't about to back down. He had formulated a plan for three days, and the last piece of the plan was in front of him.
He was sure to succeed as long as he could hire him.
He had lost 2 sons in a stupidity against the Kaze. One of them was his firstborn. He didn't want the blood of those 2 to go to waste, so he wasn't going to back down, and even less so now that the flames were so hot and those guys were totally unprepared.
Matthew smiled under his mask and nodded at him. "We will do as you say." After saying this, they both signed the agreement, making Matthew smile even wider.
"Don't worry, since you are the first to finalize a contract with me and a friend of this old friend, then I will hold up my end. I will not touch your Clan, as my old friend seems to want to work with you. So you can feel totally at ease and target your enemies." As soon as Matthew said this, a huge weight was released from Robert's shoulders.
He wanted to thank him immediately, but Matthew and Isla disappeared. Still, his words were meaningful to Robert.
The words somehow made his determination shine brightly. 'This is the most perfect moment to achieve my revenge!'
Robert knew that missing an opportunity as great as this would be a total waste, so he immediately left to prepare everything.
From a distance, Matthew, Jack, and Isla watched him go. Matthew smiled and removed his mask.
"A few words, at the exact right time, can be significant enough to trigger the biggest war this city has ever had. I've underestimated the power of words all this time." He spoke.
Isla smiled and looked at him. "You've always used words well; I don't think you've underestimated them. It's just that you realized it just now, but unconsciously, you already knew it from before." She said, surprising Matthew by her observation.
"I think you've also become a little more extraordinary lately. You seem to be able to speak with more certainty. But what I've noticed most is that your beauty is on the rise." Matthew smiled and kissed her. He didn't have much to say; she had hit the nail on the head.
Jack looked at this and felt his eyebrows twitch with anger. "Can you please stop flirting in front of me? I don't like being a flower vase." He said, snapping them out of their world.
Matthew looked at him reproachfully but sighed. "Gray Allen is doing well between the Main Clans and the House of Leaders. I just have to create conflict between the Clans, then... Hmm, looks like we need to start killing more low-value idiots. Why do these powerful Clans have such weak Heirs? Tsk." He complained.
After a few seconds of their complaint, they disappeared from where they were, and a hunt began.
It was not one-sided. Matthew didn't have to pay respect to anyone. Thanks to the Old Leader, who helped him contact the other Clans, he was able to get contracts to kill young men from different Clans.
Although he was keeping his word with the Adams. From the beginning, he had not planned to kill many of them since they were not traitors, and Ryan Adams had been good to him, so he focused his attention on the rest of the clans.
And his killings were so clean that they left no room for investigation.
He was using his true skills as an assassin, although, unfortunately, most of the people he had to kill were too weak.
It's a bit ironic, but most of them were his age. The age range hovered between 20 and 25. Some were younger; some were older. But what they had in common was that they all had between 5,000 and 20,000 power the older ones.
They were too weak!
If he thought about it correctly, this was normal. It wasn't possible that all young people could have his power. Perhaps Alice, Sophia, and even Isla were exceptions to the rule. It wasn't that they were too weak; it was just that Matthew was too strong for his age.
It was here that the difference between him and people his age was seen.
To him, right now, they were as weak as ants.
They felt so lost that they looked like headless chickens. They had nowhere to go but to die at his hands.
The motive and cause of one of the biggest slaughters that would occur in the city of the clans was a young man who was the age of any of the young men of the Clans of Clan City. Maybe it was a little strange, but it proved one thing.
The Dietrich Blood Supremacy is still in effect today.
...
A massacre was being perpetrated in the City of Clans, which alarmed everyone who heard about it. News of new deaths kept coming in, and even in their own residences, young people from different clans were dying.
Even so, the perpetrator did not kill them all.
What might be the last part of Matthew's plan was about to begin.
"You won't kill anymore? You haven't moved for a day." Jack said, looking at him from the side.
Matthew shrugged his shoulders. "No one will assimilate deaths so easily. But anger is rising in the city. And it has already brushed the edge of all the Clans." He said before holding a hand to his ear.
"Still, don't you hear the other rumors? It's not just deaths echoing through the streets... There's one that's picking up steam, do you hear it?" He said, smiling a little.
Jack Allen couldn't understand what he was referring to, but just then, his senses heightened as if by magic, and he suddenly heard what the people below where they were standing were talking about.
"I heard that the slaughter being orchestrated here is to shut the mouths of those who have not betrayed the race. As I suspected, those traitorous bastards are the ones who are killing left and right."
"Wait, I have a theory about that, and a powerful person I know told me it was possible because they have seen strange movements lately. What if it's actually an internal fight among the traitors to erase those who were scared of Miss Sophia's revelation? That could also be fear for the appointment of Matthew Dietrich, Miss's ally, as Clan Allen Leader."
"Hey, that seems to make more sense than we were thinking... A fight between traitors... I hope they kill each other, those damned bastards..."
The words floated in the atmosphere, and after this, Jack stopped listening and turned his gaze sharply to Matt, who was smiling slyly.
"Will this be the last part of the plan? First, fan the flames with a slaughter to bring each Clan into the war, said slaughter to use against them, while the fear of being considered traitors binds them. But now is the time to fan the flames using the powers of this world." Matthew said.
But, just then, a powerful explosion occurred far away. "Ohh! That's where one of the Allens' properties is. Looks like those leaders are desperate." Matthew smiled even wider and turned around.
"Jack Allen, since you have helped me train these past few days, I will give you the honor of being the first to issue a statement. Say that you discovered several Academic Clans and powerful people in Clan City are allied with the traitors. Say that if they do not obediently surrender, the Allen Clan will go into all-out war against the City of Clans and raid the entire city.
This will be a warning." Matthew then began to leave, and seeing Jack Allen's surprise, he spoke again.
"Don't worry, if you do it in less than 24 hours, you'll be the first. Subsequently, several important people will do it, so take the leadership baton. You want to lead, don't you? It's time for you to start making points."
After saying this, he disappeared from where he was. Within minutes, that building exploded into pieces.
Fear began to grow, and news began to spread from city to city... And a new piece of news seemed to see the light.
...
