Pirates: Building a Pirate Family

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Wild Wolf Gang

You can also grow stronger by eating sea king meat.

We must understand that the strong are very well-fed.

However, hunting Neptunes is no easy task. With his ten-year-old body, he cannot defeat Neptunes.

The most urgent thing is to train.

Once you have the strength to protect yourself, you can venture into the sea to hunt Neptunes.

The island where Charlotte lives is very small, with the inhabitable area being only the flat land of the port, where more than 1,000 people live.

There are mountains behind the port, occupying 90% of the entire island, and no one lives there.

This makes it an ideal place for Charlotte to practice and hunt.

As an orphan, Charlotte has never known who her parents were and has lived off the mayor's family's charity. Despite this, her life was hard—otherwise, the original owner wouldn't have thought to fish by the seaside.

Unfortunately, this time, she was swept away by the waves.

Walking out of the thatched house, Charlotte entered the vast mountain with a machete for chopping wood, not looking back.

From now on, she set a small goal for herself: to become the conqueror of this mountain.

In the beginning, when she was thirsty, she drank mountain spring water, and when she was hungry, she ate various fruits—almost eating poisonous ones several times.

But at this point, a timely reaction would occur in her mind, similar to Spider-Man's instinct from her previous life.

But here, in this world, it allows her to predict the future!

Relying on her sense of danger, Charlotte became self-sufficient in the mountains, living as easily as a fish in water.

From time to time, she would design traps to hunt prey and sharpen her teeth.

She would also go down the mountain occasionally, exchanging fur for weapons and other essentials.

This year of training never made Charlotte feel lonely.

On the contrary, she was very excited, because she could truly feel herself getting stronger.

Every morning, she woke up feeling stronger than the day before. Her body was no longer as weak as before, no longer easily knocked over by a wave.

The most obvious change was that she could now fight wild boars head-on in the mountains.

After every injury, as long as she ate a hearty meal, she would feel better the next day.

This made Charlotte realize something strange about the world of One Piece.

The basic training she had been doing for the past year no longer met her needs.

She found that simple push-ups and running were not very effective—no matter how many push-ups she did in one day, she never felt tired.

She needed more intense practice!

So, she went down the mountain with the precious animal skins she had collected from hunting throughout the year.

When she arrived at the port market, she saw a child about 1.5 meters tall carrying a cargo that was taller than he was. Everyone around him quickly dispersed.

"Isn't this Charlotte? Didn't he disappear?"

Some of the people who knew her began to wonder.

Charlotte had been on the mountain for a year, coming down only rarely to buy necessities. Even the mayor could not find her.

Charlotte stopped in a conspicuous spot in the port, as though no one else was around. She spread out a blanket, placed the fur down, and sat quietly on the ground, waiting for a buyer.

The crowd soon gathered around.

Seeing this, Charlotte pointed and said, "Buy it or leave! Don't waste my time!"

Her outburst irritated the people around her.

A voice from the crowd spoke up. "Boy, do you not know whose territory you're setting up shop on?"

Charlotte glanced up, frowning in surprise. She hadn't expected there to be gangsters in a small town of just 1,000 people.

But Charlotte wasn't scared.

"Boy! What are you staring at? You don't know you need to pay a fee to set up a stall here?"

The leader of the Wild Wolf Gang, a rough-looking man with a gold chain around his neck and a gold tooth in his mouth, came forward and looked down at Charlotte, flipping through the fur she had laid out.

"Heh, this fur is good, but there are no wounds!"

The gang leader randomly pulled out two pieces of fur, which looked like fox fur.

"These two furs are worth your fee!"

He was about to take them, but Charlotte quickly grabbed his wrist and looked at him unfavorably.

"What's this?"

The gang leader tried to yank his wrist away but couldn't. He stared at Charlotte with a hostile expression.

"Give me the money—two 20 Baileys!"

Charlotte said calmly.

Hearing this, the gang leader laughed loudly, throwing his head back.

His underlings joined in, laughing at the absurdity of the situation.

"Hahaha! Ahhahahaha!"

"Give you money? Who pays for things like this?"

The gang leader sneered and tried to pull away from Charlotte's grip.

But Charlotte stood firm. "I think you're here to cause trouble."

Charlotte stood up, grabbed the gang leader's wrist, and said, "Give me the money!"

Bess (the gang leader) tried to back up, but Charlotte held him tightly. Before he could draw his dagger, Charlotte pushed him hard. He staggered and fell to the ground, unable to react in time.

"Boss!"

The gang's thugs, seeing their boss on the ground, immediately drew their daggers and rushed at Charlotte.

"Bastard, you're dead! You're dead!"

Bess, struggling under Charlotte's foot, writhed in an attempt to escape but couldn't. Charlotte's grip was like iron, making any resistance futile.

"That's it, this kid's done for. He offended the Wild Wolf Gang—there's no way he'll survive in this small town!"

As the onlookers murmured in sympathy, Charlotte calmly looked at the approaching thugs, smiling slightly.

Then, with a swift movement, she dodged and took down all five of the gang members in just a few punches and kicks.

"Ouch!"

"Ahh, it hurts!"

Five men wailed on the ground in pain, too stunned to react.

Bess, still under Charlotte's foot, was dumbfounded by the scene.

The crowd around them stood in shock.

"This… What's going on here?"

Everyone was astounded by Charlotte's actions. She had taken down five tough thugs with just a few moves, and it didn't even seem like she had used much force.

Charlotte ignored the astonished crowd. She squatted down, ripped the gold necklace off Bess's neck, and tore the gemstone ring from his finger.

Then, she punched him in the mouth.

Bess screamed in pain.
