"And so…"

"Let this war be over."

Ian retracted his left hand, and the golden clock slowly faded away. He glanced at the stunned Marines and Revolutionaries, as if he had done something utterly insignificant.

Then, before their bewildered eyes, a rift opened in the air before him. He stepped through it and vanished.

A heavy silence descended upon Marineford.

Everyone was in a state of shock, their minds reeling. They could only think one thing: 'What… what kind of power was that?'

They looked up. The shattered plaza of Marineford was whole again. The fallen Marines and Whitebeard Pirates slowly rose to their feet.

Even their clothes were pristine, their stamina restored. If their ranks weren't in complete disarray, they would have thought the battle had never even begun.

"Pops, you're really alive…!"

"Thank goodness, Pops!"

Seeing the towering figure of Whitebeard, Marco and the others were overcome with emotion, tears streaming down their faces as they rushed towards him. It was true. Among those revived were Whitebeard and Ace.

If it had been the Five Elders or Im using their time manipulation, they wouldn't have been able to revive the dead. But Ian was different.

He was a Hollow who devoured souls, he could keep their souls from dissipating entirely.

"Marco… Jozu… Why are you here? Is this heaven? I've failed as a father… I couldn't protect you… Wait, am I… alive?"

Whitebeard was still disoriented, struggling to grasp the situation.

He had heard Marco's cries, the din of battle, and Blackbeard's laughter, all fading away as his vision blurred, the world dissolving into a boundless white void. Then, he had been pulled back.

...

...

"Is he… a God? To even revive the dead…" After his sons explained Ian's intervention, he realized that this power transcended life and death. It wasn't something humans could achieve. It was the power of a god.

He had long suspected that Ian's power far surpassed his own, that its true extent was beyond his comprehension. He had wanted to know just how strong Ian was, but he hadn't been given the answer. Now, he knew. Ian's power was beyond life and death.

He felt a pang of regret. Before Ian had became too strong.. they should have had their duel. Now, it was too late....

"Zehahaha! Whitebeard, how many times do I have to tell you? My darkness absorbs and nullifies all powers!"

Blackbeard laughed, lost in his own arrogance.

He was still reeling from the shock. He hadn't expected the Black-Winged Devil to reverse time, not only reviving the dead but also returning the Tremor-Tremor Fruit to Whitebeard. But as long as he was alive, he could always find a stronger Devil Fruit, or even a way to counter that demon.

He casually raised his hand to block Whitebeard's attack, but this time, things didn't go as planned.

Whitebeard, not using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, lunged forward, grasping the Supreme Grade Sword, Murakumogiri, which had been knocked away earlier. He brought it down on Blackbeard in a whirlwind slash.

Splat!

Blood spurted a meter high.

"Aaaahhh! It hurts! It hurts so much!"

Blackbeard screamed like a stuck pig. Just moments ago, he had been reveling in his victory.

Now, he was stunned by Whitebeard's counterattack. The razor-sharp blade of Murakumogiri sliced through his shoulder, continuing down his chest and abdomen in a diagonal arc, a gruesome, bloody spectacle.

Blackbeard, howling in pain, rolled around on the ground, his arrogance gone.

"Teach, you've always been like this. Arrogant and careless. That's your weakness."

"No matter what powerful fruit you obtain, you'll never be the strongest." Whitebeard planted his foot on Blackbeard's hand, pinning him to the ground.

His left hand gripped Blackbeard's throat. A white aura, the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, enveloped Blackbeard.

"No… don't…" Blackbeard pleaded, his face contorted in terror.

"You're a disgrace, Teach." Marco said coldly. The Marines and Revolutionaries watched in silence. No one would intervene. Traitors deserved death.

"Pops, I'm your son! Are you really going to kill me?" Blackbeard, ignoring Marco's words, begged for his life.

"Teach, you are the one person who doesn't have the right to call himself my son. You broke the one unbreakable rule of my ship. You killed your crewmate. Go and apologize to Thatch in hell."

Whitebeard's voice was low and heavy. He unleashed the full power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, causing the ground to crack and buckle.

The restored Marineford began to crumble once more. A low hum filled the air. Then, silence.

A massive crater, hundreds of meters in diameter, marked the spot where Blackbeard had been. His body was mangled, his skull caved in, blood and brain matter splattered across the ground.

But he was still alive.

"Damn… what a stubborn bastard. He took a direct hit from Pops's full power, and his head didn't even explode. We really underestimated him." The Whitebeard Pirates were both shocked and afraid.

"Zeh… zehahahaha…"

Blackbeard struggled to his feet, his face a bloody mess. He laughed maniacally, taunting Whitebeard.

"What's wrong, Pops? Is that all you've got? It's not even enough to make me itch."

This was the extent of Blackbeard's monstrous vitality, the reason he could wield two Devil Fruits. Combined with the damage absorption of the Dark-Dark Fruit, he was nearly unkillable.

"Do you think I'm finished? I'm Whitebeard!" Whitebeard roared, his voice filled with the authority of a king. This was Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world before Ian's rise. Devil Fruit powers determined a person's lower limit. True strength came from within.

"Whitebeard… you're nothing but a loser from a bygone era. You can't scare me!" Blackbeard screamed.

"Hahahahaha!" Whitebeard charged forward. "Teach… I'll avenge my son, Thatch, the captain of the Fourth Division, I'll use your blood, your life, as a sacrifice!"

He swung Murakumogiri, aiming for Blackbeard's head. There was no escape. Blackbeard could only meet the attack head-on.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Their fists collided, a whirlwind of blows that sent shockwaves through the air. After dozens of exchanges, Whitebeard's fighting spirit soared.

Blackbeard, on the other hand, despite his youth and vigor, was losing ground. Even with his best efforts to nullify Whitebeard's tremors, his Dark-Dark Fruit was useless against Whitebeard's overwhelming Haki and physical prowess.

His powerful physique and rapid recovery were no match for Whitebeard's relentless assault.

"Hey… hey… Pops… Let's stop this. This isn't good for either of us. Let's just… call it a draw?"

Blackbeard, losing his nerve, pleaded for a truce. His fear was palpable. This momentary hesitation, this lapse in his resolve, sealed his fate. If he had shown even a shred of courage, he might have lasted a little longer. But now, it was too late.

Murakumogiri came down with the force of a landslide, nearly cleaving Blackbeard in two. The horrific wound, stretching from his shoulder to his abdomen, exposed his internal organs.

"It hurts… I'm dying… I'm really going to die…" Blackbeard howled in agony.

"It's over, Teach. Go and apologize to Thatch." Whitebeard said coldly.

He plunged the tip of Murakumogiri into Blackbeard's heart, twisting it viciously. Blood splattered across the ground.

Blackbeard's heart was destroyed. His monstrous vitality, extinguished.

The members of the Blackbeard Pirates, who had tried to intervene, were swiftly dealt with by Marco and the other commanders. The Blackbeard Pirates were no more.

Whitebeard slumped to the ground, his golden eyes fixed on the sky. A faint smile touched his lips.

"I'm… so… old…"

...

...

A gentle breeze stirred. The young man's black hair danced in the wind. Time and space seemed to freeze. The boy with the straw hat stared blankly at the blond youth before him, who had removed his top hat.

Gone was the usual playful energy. After a moment, Luffy stumbled forward, his arms stretching out to grasp the blond youth's shoulders.

Then, with a burst of speed, he launched himself into the young man's arms. "Are you really Sabo?"

"Luffy." Sabo's voice was gentle as he patted Luffy's head.

"I'm back."

"Waaaaahhh!"

Luffy burst into tears, his cries echoing across the battlefield. His gaze was fixed on the familiar figure before him, the young man with the blond hair and the water pipe.

And seeing that familiar face, that familiar outfit, Ace, too, was stunned. His eyes widened, his mouth agape, as if he were witnessing something impossible.

He trembled, overcome with a mix of shock, excitement, and disbelief. Tears welled up in his eyes. He stumbled forward.

"Sabo… you're alive… You're really alive?!" Ace's voice cracked, his emotions overwhelming him. The battlefield was filled with cries of astonishment.

"That Revolutionary… he's Ace's brother?" Marco and the others were shocked. "We never knew… Isn't Luffy Ace's only brother? What is this..?"

"Sabo, Fire Fist Ace, and Straw Hat Luffy… are brothers? What is going on with this family? Revolutionaries, Marines, pirates…"

"Sabo, you idiot! Why didn't you come back sooner?! Do you know how worried we've been?! Luffy, Dadan, all of us…"

Ace, sobbing uncontrollably, embraced Sabo with all his might.

"Alright, alright, Luffy, Ace. It's great that we're all together again." Sabo patted their heads.

"You idiot, Sabo! Patting heads is the older brother's job! I'm the oldest!" Ace protested, swatting Sabo's hand away.

"Hahaha, is that so? I thought I was the oldest." Sabo said with a grin.

"Grrrr…" Ace growled.

Suddenly, Luffy stretched his arms, wrapping them around both Ace and Sabo. Tears streamed down his face.

"It's great… Ace is alive, too. The Black-Winged Devil revived him. And Sabo's back!" Luffy sobbed.

"Luffy… you were saved by him, too? He restored my memories."

"How many times has he saved me? And I still got captured…"

The three brothers shared a look. It seemed a little… intentional.

"It's okay… It's all in the past. Luffy, you're still such a crybaby, even after all these years." Sabo chuckled.

"Luffy's always been a crybaby."

"Hey! I'm not a crybaby!" Luffy protested, still clutching his brothers, tears streaming down his face.

"Hahaha… You sure about that, Luffy?" Ace and Sabo teased.

"I don't care! Waaaaah!" Luffy wailed, tackling his brothers to the ground.

"Luffy, what are you doing?! Get off me! Your snot… it's all over my clothes!" Sabo protested.

"Don't push it towards me! I'm not wearing a shirt!" Ace added. Luffy's snot was now all over Ace's chest.
