Naruto :Uchiha's Reincarnation

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Important Stage

With the knowledge learned from Kato Dan and the experience from Uchiha Fugaku, which is more suited for the Uchiha Fire Style, Haruto's ability to master Fire Style techniques can be considered exceptional.

"You've done well to perform the Great Dragon Fire Technique to this level," Uchiha Fugaku said, halting Haruto's actions.

"The Great Dragon Fire Technique is an advanced Fire Style jutsu that combines elements of the Great Fireball and the Dragon Fire Techniques. To improve it further, you need to work on two key aspects: first, mastering the form changes in Fire Style to better control it, enabling you to release multiple flame dragons simultaneously. Second, you must focus on refining the nature of the Fire Style chakra, enhancing both the destructive power and accuracy of the technique."

"In other words, you're about to begin training in some techniques at the Jonin level, as most Jonin have mastered at least two nature transformations."

Uchiha Fugaku pulled out a scroll and handed it to Haruto.

"I've heard that Jonin Kato Dan has already made arrangements for you. You'll continue to serve in second-line duties for now, correct?"

Haruto nodded. "Yes. In addition to the regular camp garrison and supply escort missions, we are tasked with border reconnaissance. If we encounter stronger enemy forces or elite units, we only need to report to the base's Jonin. It's relatively safe, and we have more free time. I believe Sensei Dan hopes we'll use this time to train and improve our strength further."

Inuzuka Ryo and Aburame Nami had almost reached Chunin-level combat strength, as shown in their previous missions. At the very least, they were capable of holding off a Chunin for an extended period.

As for Haruto, he was already one of the top Genin, possibly even rivaling many Chunins in skill. With several more months of focused training and his newly acquired Great Dragon Fire Technique and Kato Dan's Spiritual Activation Technique, Haruto felt confident that if he were to face the Rain Ninja who wielded the umbrella sword again, he would no longer be as helpless as before. Though he might not win outright, he would certainly put up a much stronger fight.

When a ninja reaches this stage, if they can make a breakthrough in a particular area—such as mastering Fire Style chakra nature transformation—they can generally be considered Special Jonin. However, being promoted to Jonin also requires sufficient military accomplishments and leadership experience, which takes time.

That said, in times of war, ninja promotions tend to emphasize ability and battlefield contributions rather than seniority. As long as one meets the standards, promotions usually follow.

"This scroll contains some of my personal experience with Fire Style chakra nature transformations. I won't be able to guide you in person, as I'll be leading our clan into the front lines to restore the Uchiha's reputation. You'll have to study on your own from now on."

"Thank you, Clan Leader!" Haruto replied.

Different ninjas often have varied interpretations of chakra nature transformation, even if it's the same type. Haruto had access to multiple sources of knowledge. Kato Dan's team left behind notes on Fire Style nature transformation, and Haruto had training methods passed down from Uchiha Retsu. Now, with Uchiha Fugaku's experience added to the mix, Haruto could study Fire Style from multiple angles, which would greatly aid his progress. This scroll was an invaluable resource.

Three Months Later

Three months passed in the blink of an eye, and Haruto, along with his teammates from Kato Dan's team, had lived through an intense training regimen. Even the New Year had been spent fulfilling their duties. By the time they arrived at the frontlines, it was already mid-December.

For those three months, their missions mostly consisted of supply escorts. Fortunately, because Konoha had reinforced the front lines with elite troops and formed an alliance with Hanzo, no enemy ninjas had appeared to disrupt their logistics. The few attackers who did emerge were Rain Ninja, and they posed minimal threat. As such, Konoha didn't waste extra resources to eliminate them.

The team had completed over 30 C-rank missions during this time, including material escorts and minor skirmishes. Two of their encounters, which escalated into full-blown conflicts, were classified as B-rank missions due to the difficulty.

The rest of their time had been dedicated to training, driven by the realization that they needed to improve quickly to survive the war. Every member of the team knew that their current strength wasn't enough for the challenges ahead.

One morning, after completing a supply escort the day before, the team had a rare day off. This was one of the benefits of serving in second-line duties: though there was danger, they weren't constantly exposed to the life-threatening conditions of the front lines. It allowed them some time to rest and train in relative safety.

Before dawn, Haruto had already gathered his teammates, Inuzuka Ryo and Aburame Nami, to begin another day of practice. In the three months since they started training, Haruto had made considerable progress with Kato Dan's Spiritual Activation Technique, alongside his Fire Style ninjutsu. His mastery of Uchiha-style swordsmanship had also improved, though he knew his body still needed more time to physically develop before he could fully grasp the more advanced techniques.

The Spiritual Activation Technique was divided into four stages.

The first stage involved clearing one's mind of distractions through meditation. This step was crucial for controlling one's emotions and strengthening mental energy, but it was difficult—especially for someone like Inuzuka Ryo, who had a lively and energetic personality. In this stage, even minor emotions or distractions that might go unnoticed in everyday life could interfere with progress.

However, once a ninja could meditate effectively, they could practice ninjutsu with heightened focus, which often yielded better results. As one's ability to concentrate improved, mental energy increased as well. When a ninja reached a point where they could control their emotions most of the time, they would be ready to move on to the next stage of the technique.

According to Kato Dan's notes, most ninjas who had learned the Spiritual Activation Technique barely made it past this first stage, and many could not achieve true mastery even at that level.
