Chapter 163: Lunar confrontation 2
Hinata, the Moon Princess, had just arrived with unparalleled speed and grace. Her cold gaze fixed immediately on Momoshiki, who floated nonchalantly a few meters away, an arrogant smile on his face. Without a word, she leaped towards him, her body leaving a trail of concentrated chakra.
However, Kinshiki suddenly materialized in front of her, his imposing stature blocking her path.
"You won't pass," Kinshiki declared in a grave voice, raising his massive weapon, a giant axe formed from his chakra.
Hinata narrowed her eyes slightly, sketching a barely perceptible smile.
"You're an obstacle," she murmured calmly. "An obstacle I will break."
Kinshiki struck the ground with his axe with titanic force, creating a shockwave that made the air vibrate. Hinata gracefully leaped to the side, dodging the attack with an almost provocative ease.
Kinshiki immediately charged after her, swinging his weapon with impressive speed for someone of his size. But Hinata, agile and methodical, literally danced around him, dodging each blow with calculated and precise movements.
She seized an opening: a step forward, a twist of her wrist, and her right palm crashed against Kinshiki's arm. A wave of chakra coursed through the massive limb, causing a spasm that made him take a few steps back.
Kinshiki growled, tightening his grip on his axe.
"Not bad, half-breed," he grunted. "But you won't stand a chance against my brute strength."
He raised his axe above his head and brought it down with unimaginable violence. Hinata, anticipating the attack, pivoted on her right foot and slipped under his arm. In a fluid motion, she struck with her palms against his flanks, sending a series of shocks to his vital points.
Kinshiki staggered under the impact, but he quickly counterattacked. His axe disappeared in a burst of pink light, transforming into a slender lance. He projected it towards Hinata at a terrifying speed.
Hinata somersaulted backwards in an impressive acrobatic move, barely avoiding the lance that grazed her face. Her feet barely touched the ground before she propelled herself forward, her fists covered in a luminous chakra.
"Hakke Kūshō!" she cried, launching a compressed air palm that struck Kinshiki head-on.
The impact sent the colossus flying several meters, crashing against a suspended rock in space. He rose almost immediately, a spark of rage in his eyes.
"You're fast, I'll give you that," he grunted. "But it won't be enough!"
Kinshiki charged again, his movements more aggressive and unpredictable. He created a series of weapons around him, lances, hammers, and chains that he projected in all directions.
Hinata dodged each attack with disconcerting precision. Her movements were calculated, fluid, almost choreographed. She drew closer again, feinting to the left before striking to the right.
Her palms struck Kinshiki's chest, a surge of chakra temporarily cutting off the flow of his energy. He staggered, his breath short, but his rage only grew.
Hinata focused, her Byakugan activated. Every movement of Kinshiki was anticipated, every weakness exploited.
She leaped again, delivering a series of rapid and precise kicks. Her right heel struck Kinshiki's chin with enough force to make him stagger. She followed up with a lateral strike that broke his balance, forcing him to kneel on the ground.
Kinshiki attempted to retaliate with a massive punch, but Hinata grabbed his wrist with a fluid movement. Using his own strength against him, she pivoted and violently threw him against the ground.
He growled, his eyes shining with rage, but his body began to show signs of fatigue.
"It's over," Hinata declared in a firm voice.
A few meters away, Momoshiki watched attentively. His arrogant smile had vanished, replaced by an expression of cold calculation.
"She's only using taijutsu," he murmured to himself. "And chakra to enhance her strikes. Impressive, but she has an obvious weakness."
He raised a hand, his Rinnegan shining with a sinister glow. A black sphere slowly formed in his palm, pulsating with destructive energy.
"Kinshiki is too slow for her, and I'm not built for close combat," he continued, speaking in a low voice. "But that doesn't mean I can't defeat her."
With a cruel smile, he enlarged the orb in his hand.
"Let's see how you handle this, half-breed scum." he murmured before launching the orb with colossal force towards Hinata.
Hinata sensed the attack even before it was visible. Her Byakugan detected the massive energy of the orb. She turned her head slightly, her face impassive, but her eyes shone with an intense light.
But in a split second, Kinshiki was already in front of her, his axe perilously close to her neck.
