Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 157: Kaguya vs Mikoto

The battlefield lay in ruins, scarred by gaping fissures and crushed mountains. The imposing silhouette of Kaguya stood tall, holding Naruto and Sasuke aloft with her arms, her hands gripping their throats. Her eyes reflected a deep trance, as if she beheld something far beyond their mere existence.

Mikoto Uchiha emerged from a black portal behind Kaguya, her mask gleaming in the pale light of the chaotic surroundings. Her voice, calm and resolute, echoed:

"It's time to let go, Kaguya."

Kaguya ignored her, treating her like a mere insect buzzing in her ear. With a wave of her hand, a shining black pike, shaped like a sword, appeared in her palm. Without hesitation, she leaped into the air, her silhouette surrounded by a burning chakra. The sword sliced through the air with unmatched precision, and in a fluid motion, she severed Kaguya's arms.

Naruto and Sasuke fell heavily to the ground, panting and unable to move. Mikoto immediately interposed herself between them and Kaguya, grasping the two men with a firm grip. She quickly retreated.

"Take the unconscious Sakura and get away," she ordered Sasuke, who could barely stand.

Sasuke's blurred gaze settled on her.

"Who are you?" he asked, breathless, his voice laced with both suspicion and confusion.

Mikoto fixed him with an unusual tenderness, a warmth that pierced through her mask of impassivity.

"Take care of them, Uzumaki," she said, and then a black portal opened behind them.

Naruto's eyes widened as a familiar figure stepped out of the portal.

"It's her... The woman who taught me jutsus... She—"

The interruption was swift and cold:

"Silence." The Uzumaki's voice, grave and commanding, brooked no argument. "I'll take you back to Konoha. This fight is now under the direction of KuraYami." Karin always loved playing this role when she wore her mask.

Naruto wanted to protest, but before he could utter a word, they were whisked away from the battlefield, disappearing in a flash of light.

Mikoto, now alone with Kaguya, sighed.

"Shikai warned me it wouldn't be easy... Sasuke and Naruto must not seal you. Their chakra, that of the Rikudo, is far too precious for the future. But recruiting you?" She shook her head. "That's another story altogether."

She didn't really want to be the one bringing another woman back to her bed, but according to her orders, this woman was very important to the plan.

A deafening crash interrupted her thoughts. A dimensional fissure suddenly formed, and Kaguya reappeared, completely regenerated. Her severed arms were intact once more, and her anger was palpable.

"Dare you take my sons?" Kaguya thundered, her voice resonating like a thousand echoes.

She extended a hand, and instantly, her hair unfurled into a mass of deadly needles, seeking to ensnare Mikoto.

Mikoto dodged with impressive agility, but at the last moment, she was captured. Kaguya's hair coiled around her like hungry serpents.

"Do you think you can escape me, wretch?"

A light smile played beneath Mikoto's mask.

"It's not that simple."

Her entire body dissipated into a fine black smoke, escaping Kaguya's grasp. Reappearing behind her, Mikoto reached up to the sky, and a sea of flames descended in an instant.

*Shinjutsu: Incineration*

The flames roared, enveloping Kaguya in an infernal cyclone. But the goddess did not falter.

*Chakra Absorption*

With a simple motion, she drew the energy of the attack into herself, transforming it into brute force to fuel her next assault.

*All-Killing Ash Bones.*

Kaguya projected deadly bones in Mikoto's direction, each capable of disintegrating a target in an instant. Mikoto activated her Sharingan, anticipating each move with precision. She moved with grace, each attack either passing through her or being dodged at the last second.

Kaguya, irritated by Mikoto's resistance, used *Amenominaka* to alter the battlefield, transporting them to a dimension of boiling lava. Rivers of fire and explosive geysers surrounded them.

Mikoto landed on a floating rocky pillar, regarding Kaguya calmly.

"Changing the terrain won't help you. It's not the setting that makes the fight."

With a gesture, Mikoto summoned a gigantic sphere of swirling flames, which began to devastate the surrounding landscape.

Kaguya, however, used *Yomotsu Hirasaka* to teleport out of reach, reappearing in mid-air. She unleashed an *Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack*, a monstrous assault that pulverized everything in its path.

Mikoto barely evaded by turning into smoke, but she knew this tactic wouldn't last forever.

*Shinjutsu: Omnidirectional Flame.*

She released an intense explosion of flames in all directions, forcing Kaguya to create a shield with an *Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball*.

The two adversaries exchanged a series of high-level techniques, each striving to outdo the other. Kaguya utilized her Yin-materialization abilities to create illusions and clones of herself, while Mikoto thwarted each trap with her Sharingan and superhuman reflexes.

When Kaguya employed her *God: Nativity of a World of Trees*, an entire forest sprang up around them, aiming to trap Mikoto. But the latter burned the trees with a single glance, her flames consuming everything in their path.

As the duel continued, Mikoto knew she couldn't afford to copy Kaguya's techniques. It would consume too much chakra, and she needed to conserve her strength for the opportune moment.
