Hokage's Office

"Knock, knock, knock."

"Come in," came the voice from inside.

Kenichi pushed open the door and stepped into the Hokage's office.

"Third Hokage-sama, long time no see."

"Oh! Kenichi!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen looked up from his paperwork, a warm smile spreading across his face as he saw Ishiwaka Kenichi enter.

"It's been half a year since we last met. How was your field trip across the Land of Fire?"

Kenichi sighed, shaking his head.

"To be honest, Hokage-sama, I was… disappointed."

Sarutobi raised an eyebrow. "Oh? If it's convenient, could you tell me what happened?"

Kenichi nodded and took a seat. "It's nothing dramatic, but I realized that the world outside Konoha is far different from what I imagined."

He began recounting what he had seen—the rundown villages, the impoverished people, the overwhelming despair that seemed to hang over the world outside the safety of Konoha's walls.

"After this trip, I can confidently say… Konoha is much better than most places. Outside the village, except for a few large cities, it's hard to even call them 'towns.' They're just settlements struggling to survive."

Sarutobi Hiruzen exhaled deeply and leaned back in his chair. "Kenichi, what you saw is the true face of the ninja world."

Kenichi nodded in agreement. "I understand that now. However, this trip wasn't entirely fruitless. I've identified a few potential locations for expanding my business."

Hiruzen smiled. "That's good to hear. I wish you success in your endeavors."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama," Kenichi replied with a small bow before taking out his wallet.

"But before that, let me settle the payment for the mission."

Sarutobi Hiruzen chuckled as he accepted the money. "Hahaha, very well. Business is business, after all."

With the formalities taken care of, Kenichi left the Hokage building and made his way back to his shop.

Although Kenichi had initially planned to go straight home and rest, his feet naturally led him to his ramen shop instead.

As soon as he stepped inside, the familiar aroma of freshly made broth filled his senses.

"Welcome!" A familiar voice greeted him.

Kenichi looked up, and his apprentice, Teida, widened his eyes in shock before quickly taking off his hat.

"Boss! You're back!"

Kenichi chuckled. "I'm back. You've been working hard in my absence, Teida."(Yes you are right about the guess he is father of legendary Ichiraku ramen master in the future i made him an apprentice..just for fun nothing else).

Teida shook his head quickly. "Not at all! I should be thanking you. You taught me the craft, and now I get to practice it every day!"

Kenichi glanced around the shop, noting how well-maintained it was. The counter was spotless, and the kitchen looked exactly as he had left it.

"You've done well," he said sincerely.

Then, Teida suddenly remembered something and hurried behind the counter, returning with an account book.

"Boss, here are the records for the past six months. Please check them."

Kenichi glanced at the thick book, then shook his head with a smile.

"There's no need. I trust you."

Teida's eyes widened, and he bowed deeply. "Thank you for your trust, Teacher!"

Kenichi patted his shoulder. "I prefer when you call me 'Teacher' like you used to."

"Yes, Teacher!" Teida responded happily.

Kenichi then took a seat and leaned against the counter. "Teida, how about I leave this shop to you from now on?"

Teida blinked in shock. "M-Me? Running the shop? But Teacher, what about you?"

Kenichi smiled. "I'm planning to open a branch in the capital of the Land of Fire. When that happens, I can't manage both places at once, so I need someone I trust to run this shop."

Teida clenched his fists, his expression serious. "I'll do my best, Teacher! I won't let you down!"

Kenichi nodded in satisfaction.

At that moment, a loud voice interrupted their conversation.

"Boss Teida! Get me a bowl of your signature ramen!"

Kenichi turned toward the entrance and saw Jiraiya waltzing into the shop.

"Jiraiya," Kenichi greeted with a smirk. "Long time no see."

"Boss Kenichi!" Jiraiya grinned widely. "You're back! Man, I missed your ramen!"

Kenichi chuckled. "I haven't seen you in half a year. You've gotten taller."

Jiraiya leaned against the counter. "I heard you traveled around the Land of Fire. Was it fun?"

Kenichi thought for a moment before answering. "Jiraiya, everyone sees the world differently. What I find interesting, you might not. So why don't you see the world for yourself when the time comes?"

Jiraiya pouted. "I just wanted to know what it was like!"

Kenichi shook his head, amused. "Fine. You want the signature ramen, right? I'll make it myself."

Teida immediately stood up. "Teacher, let me—"

Kenichi waved a hand. "Sit down. I haven't made ramen in a long time. Let me do it."

Teida hesitated but finally nodded, taking a seat while Kenichi disappeared into the kitchen.

Soon, the aroma of fresh broth filled the shop, making Jiraiya's stomach growl.

Kenichi returned with two steaming bowls of ramen—one for Jiraiya and one for Teida.

"Here. Enjoy."

Jiraiya immediately started slurping up the noodles, his eyes lighting up.

"As expected of Boss Kenichi! The taste is still incredible!"

Teida, meanwhile, took a more careful approach, eating slowly. After a few bites, he set his chopsticks down and sighed.

"Teacher, even though I used the same ingredients, your ramen… tastes richer. More delicate. I still have a long way to go."

Kenichi smiled and patted his shoulder. "Don't rush. Mastery comes with time."

Jiraiya licked his lips and leaned back, satisfied. "That hit the spot!"

Kenichi chuckled. "Then it's time to go home. It's late."

Jiraiya stood up and stretched. "See you, Boss Kenichi, Teida! I'll be back for more ramen!"

With that, Jiraiya left the shop, whistling to himself.

Kenichi stretched as well and turned to his apprentice. "Teida, you close the shop today. I'll be heading home first."

"Understood, Teacher!"

Kenichi stepped out into the cool night air, feeling satisfied.
