Naruto: Recharging With Money System

Chapter 22: 22

"So, you called me here just to show me this… cup?"

Hatake Sakuya, his signature white hair and perpetually tired eyes, squatted in front of the table, staring skeptically at the white container in front of him. The cup had a sealed lid, making it look rather ordinary.

"What do you know? Let me tell you, this—" Ishiwaka Kenichi grinned smugly, tapping the lid of the cup, "—is going to be the greatest invention since the founding of Konoha!"

Sakuya scoffed, rolling his eyes. "You're exaggerating. The greatest invention? And it's just a cup? Don't sprain your tongue bragging like that."

Kenichi smirked, unfazed by his friend's skepticism. "You just wait. The cup is not the important part. It's what's inside that will change the way ninjas eat forever. I'll show you right now."

He peeled off the lid, revealing a compact, dry block of noodles, accompanied by small dried vegetables and seasoning.

Sakuya raised an eyebrow. "That's just… a brick of flour? What's so special about it?"

Kenichi simply smiled and poured hot water into the cup, closing the lid again. "Give it a moment."

Sakuya folded his arms, unimpressed. "This better not be a waste of my time."

Within minutes, an aroma filled the small ramen shop. Sakuya's nose twitched. That scent—he knew it all too well.

"This is…" His eyes widened in realization. "The smell of your signature tonkotsu ramen?"

Kenichi smirked. "Bingo. Now, let's see how it tastes."

He opened the lid, steam rising from the cup. Using chopsticks, he stirred the contents, ensuring the seasonings were well-mixed. Then, he handed the cup to Sakuya.

"Try it. First cup is on the house."

Sakuya hesitated for only a moment before taking a bite. His eyes flickered with surprise as he chewed. "It's… pretty damn close to the real thing."

Kenichi grinned proudly. "Of course, it's not exactly the same as fresh ramen. Hot off the stove is always best. But for something you can carry anywhere and prepare in minutes? This is revolutionary."

Sakuya took another bite, nodding in approval. "The portion is smaller than a normal bowl, but the convenience makes up for it."

"Exactly!" Kenichi clapped his hands. "With this, even ninjas on missions can have a hot meal in minutes. No more chewing on stale bread or choking down dry ration pills."

Sakuya hummed in thought. "You really thought this through, huh?"

Kenichi leaned back, stretching his arms. "I had to. Business at the shop has been slow since the war ended. I needed a way to make money without relying solely on customers dining in. Cup ramen is the perfect solution."

Sakuya smirked. "So you're telling me you came up with this purely for profit?"

Kenichi chuckled. "Well, making money is one reason. But it also makes life easier for people. Win-win, right?"

Sakuya nodded. "Yeah, I have to admit, this will be a hit. I know plenty of guys who'd kill for real ramen during a mission. When's it going on sale?"

Kenichi rubbed his chin. "Soon. I wanted to get some feedback first. But I think it's good to go. Just need to ramp up production."

"Good. I'll spread the word."

With Sakuya's approval, Kenichi began mass-producing his Chiba Cup Noodles.

Using specialized sealing techniques, he created an underground workspace beneath the ramen shop, where he set up his newly acquired instant ramen production equipment—courtesy of his system. The machines ran on stored chakra, allowing efficient production without electricity.

Within days, the first batch of cup noodles hit the market.

It sold out immediately.

Ninjas, civilians, even Konoha's merchants lined up to buy them. Many had heard the rumors about a ramen that could be eaten on the go, and curiosity alone was enough to drive sales.

Kenichi had officially revolutionized the food industry in Konoha.

Ishiwaka Ramen Shop, Later That Evening

"Boss Kenichi! I need some cup noodles!"

A loud voice boomed from outside the shop.

Kenichi looked up, only to see Jiraiya charging inside.

"Jiraiya, welcome back," Kenichi greeted with a smirk. "You're too late. We sold out by noon."

Jiraiya froze. "S-Sold out?"

Kenichi nodded. "Yup. First batch is gone. You'll have to wait for the next shipment."

Jiraiya fell to his knees, a look of despair on his face. "Noooo! My dreams of easy, on-the-go ramen… shattered!"

"You should've come earlier, idiot," a familiar voice snapped.

Kenichi turned to see Tsunade and Orochimaru entering the shop.

"Tsunade, Orochimaru, welcome," Kenichi greeted them.

"I'm not here for cup noodles," Tsunade said, flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder. "I'm here for regular ramen. I'm also ordering one to go—my grandfather wants to try it."

Kenichi's eyes widened slightly. "Tobirama-sama wants to try my ramen?"

Tsunade nodded. "Yeah, he's been too busy to come himself, but he's curious. So I'm bringing some home for him."

Kenichi straightened up, feeling a surge of pride. "I'd be honored to serve the Second Hokage."
