Naruto: Recharging With Money System

Chapter 21: 21

Tobirama stood up, placing a firm hand on Sarutobi Hiruzen's shoulder. His gaze, sharp as ever, bore into his student.

"Monkey, do you know why I was able to return alive from the hands of Kinkaku and Ginkaku?"

Sarutobi straightened. "Because of your strength, sensei. The Golden and Silver Brothers were no match for you."

Tobirama snorted. "Do you truly believe that? If I had the overwhelming strength to defeat them outright, would I have needed to stay behind while you all escaped?"

Sarutobi fell silent. Ever since Tobirama had miraculously returned to Konoha, no one had dared to question what had truly happened. His students had speculated in private, but none had the courage to ask directly.

But now, Tobirama was offering an answer.

Sarutobi's voice was grave. "Then, sensei… what really happened?"

Tobirama inhaled deeply, his face shadowed by memories.

"Monkey, just as I was about to be surrounded, I met a person."

Sarutobi furrowed his brows. "Reinforcements from Konoha? No… that's unlikely. Could it have been a rogue ninja from another village?"

Tobirama shook his head. "No. It was an old acquaintance—Uchiha Izuna."

Sarutobi's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "Uchiha Izuna?! But… but sensei, Uchiha Madara's younger brother… he's dead! You—"

"Yes, I killed him," Tobirama interjected coldly. His voice, however, wavered slightly. "I watched him die on the battlefield. And yet, he appeared before me, alive and well, in the midst of my fight against Kumo's elite."

Sarutobi's mind raced. "That's impossible! Are you sure it was really him? What if someone was impersonating him?"

Tobirama's gaze darkened. "I thought of that too. But let me ask you, Saru—have you ever met Izuna?"

Sarutobi hesitated, then shook his head. "No, sensei."

"Do you think anyone knew Izuna better than me?"

Sarutobi swallowed. "I suppose… no one did, except maybe Madara."

Tobirama nodded. "Exactly. And I am certain—it was Izuna. His face, his Sharingan, his fighting style… it was all the same. However…"

He hesitated for a moment before continuing.

"His strength was not what it used to be. He only used Fire Style techniques, and his Sharingan remained at the three-tomoe stage. No sign of the Mangekyō. It's possible that his power has yet to return fully."

Sarutobi exhaled sharply. "But still, sensei… resurrection? That defies all logic."

Tobirama grimaced. "Indeed. And yet, there he was, standing beside me, aiding in my fight against Kumo. It was Izuna who ultimately sealed Kinkaku and Ginkaku's Nine-Tails chakra, stripping them of their monstrous strength. And he didn't stop there—he took several of the Six Paths Noble Phantasms from them as well."

Sarutobi's expression turned grim.

"If Izuna is truly back… then what does that mean for Konoha?"

Tobirama turned to the window, looking out at the village he and his brother had built.

"That is precisely why I'm telling you this, Monkey."

Sarutobi tensed.

"If I die… you will be Hokage. And when that day comes, I want you to be careful with the Uchiha Clan."

Sarutobi clenched his fists. "Teacher…"

Tobirama's gaze remained fixed on the village. "The Uchiha are a sword, Monkey. If you hold the blade too tightly, it will cut you. If you hold it too loosely, you will lose control of it. You must learn how to wield it properly."

Sarutobi was silent, letting the weight of his teacher's words sink in.

Tobirama continued. "If you push them too hard, they will rebel. But if you leave them unchecked, they will become an uncontrollable force. Right now, the Uchiha are contained within the village, monitored and restricted. That is necessary… but it is also dangerous."

Sarutobi nodded, understanding the implications. "If Izuna is back… and if he regains his full strength… Konoha could be in grave danger."

Tobirama exhaled slowly. "Even now, I do not know if I could kill Izuna a second time. And if he awakens the Mangekyō once more, he may become a threat even greater than his brother."

Sarutobi gritted his teeth. "What should I do, sensei?"

Tobirama placed a hand on his student's shoulder, his expression resolute.

"You must watch over the Uchiha. Do not oppress them unnecessarily, but do not allow them to rise unchecked. And most of all… you must prepare yourself for the day that Izuna returns."

Sarutobi lowered his head in solemn understanding.

"I understand, teacher. I will not let Konoha fall."

Tobirama turned back to his desk. "Good. Now go. And remember—this conversation never happened."

Sarutobi nodded, bowed respectfully, and left the office, his mind filled with a newfound burden.

Kenichi sighed, rubbing his temples as he sat at the counter, staring at his nearly empty wallet.

"Damn system… I swear it's robbing me blind."

The so-called "guaranteed" lottery had bled him dry. He had finally acquired the perfect instant cup noodle formula… but not before the system had thrown dozens of useless items at him.

"A recipe for tea? Wooden chopsticks crafting? An 'ancient secret' on how to clean bowls more efficiently?! What the hell was that supposed to do for me?!"

The system, of course, had no shame.

[Oh, dear master, surely you don't regret our little gamble?]

Kenichi groaned. "Oh, shut up. You knew exactly what I wanted from the start, but you made me waste every ryo I had first!"

[You should be grateful! You finally have the Cup Noodle Mastery Technique now!]

Kenichi glared at the air. "I should be rich, but instead, I'm broke! Again!"
