"Sarutobi, what did you just say?"

Mitokado Homura's face darkened, his expression grim as he glared at the Third Hokage.

Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed helplessly.

Why are you glaring at me? What's the point?

Yes, Yoruichi's actions are indeed excessive, but aren't your schemes even worse?

You dared to target Uzumaki Mito and Kushina. This was nothing short of courting death.

And frankly, I don't think anyone can defeat Yoruichi right now.

Sarutobi's mind wandered back to the colossal wooden Buddha that had towered over the battlefield, its presence suffocating. Even now, the memory left him shaken.

With that, Yoruichi turned, taking Kushina's small hand in his. "Let's go home."

"Grandma Mito, let's go!" Kushina chimed in cheerfully, tugging Uzumaki Mito along.

Mito cast a fleeting glance at Sarutobi before following them, leaving behind an atmosphere thick with tension.

Sarutobi had barely taken a breath when Koharu snapped, "Sarutobi, are you really going to let this slide?"

"He's completely out of control!" Homura added, his voice trembling with rage.

"We demand an explanation!"

Sarutobi's gaze sharpened as he turned to them. "An explanation? Very well, I have a few questions of my own."

"Why did Uzumaki-sama instruct you to activate the Four Violet Flames Formation, and yet, it wasn't deployed?"

"Why are two retired elders still meddling in the affairs of the Administration Department?"

"And why was the seal on the Two-Tails deliberately tampered with?"

His voice grew colder with each question, and the room fell silent under his glare.

"For the good of Konoha?" Sarutobi scoffed. "If that's your justification, then don't complain now when it's your turn to sacrifice."

Danzo leaned in close, his voice a venomous whisper. "Hiruzen, everything I've done is for the village. If things continue as they are, Konoha will no longer belong to all of us—it'll belong to the Senju clan!"

"And when that happens, will it still be Konoha?"

Sarutobi's gaze hardened. "Don't forget, Danzo, Konoha was founded by the Senju clan. Both of our teachers were Senju. Don't bite the hand that built this village."

Turning away, Sarutobi left without another word, but his mind remained restless as news from the ANBU poured in throughout the night.

"Yoruichi single-handedly sealed both the Nine-Tails and the Two-Tails?"

"He killed the Third Mizukage and brought back the body?"

The reports left Sarutobi and the Sannin speechless.

How had Yoruichi become so powerful?

At home, Uzumaki Mito retreated to her room without a word. Meanwhile, Yoruichi wrapped his arms around Kushina, who yelped in surprise.

Her initial panic gave way to something warmer as she tilted her head up, planting a tentative kiss on his lips.

What started as a light peck soon deepened, the intensity growing between them.

When they finally parted, Kushina's face burned crimson. She pushed him away, stammering, "I-I'm going to bed!"

Slamming her door shut, she peeked through a crack moments later, wondering if Yoruichi might chase after her.

But he was gone.

"Hmph! Stupid Yoruichi!" she muttered, pouting. "Men are such jerks!"

In his own room, Yoruichi activated his system, swapping out character cards.

But as they moved, a striking figure emerged—a curvaceous woman clad in skintight black.

The young guards faltered, their eyes glued to her seductive sway.

"Be careful," Koharu warned, frowning at the woman's sudden appearance.

The figure smiled slyly and attacked without warning.

"Water Release: Water Gunshot!"

A high-pressure stream of water pierced Koharu's chest, her lifeless body collapsing in a spray of blood.

The guards roared in fury, launching kunai and shuriken at the figure, only for her to vanish in a puff of smoke.

"Shadow Clone?"

Before they could regroup, dozens of identical figures appeared, unleashing a barrage of water bullets.

Koharu's body was riddled with holes, her blood soaking the ground.

From the shadows, Yoruichi smirked. "As I said, tonight, you will die."

By the time Minato Namikaze arrived, it was already too late.

Elder Koharu was dead.

Back at the Hokage's office, Sarutobi read the report, his hands trembling.
