"Huff, huff, huff!"

Yue leaned against a tree, panting heavily. The day after meeting Jiraiya, he and Rina packed their bags, said goodbye to the villagers, and set off for Konoha.

Since Rina was an ordinary person, it would take about a week to reach Konoha.

During the three days of travel, Jiraiya had been diligently teaching Yue, giving him a crash course in ninja basics.

With Jiraiya's guidance, Yue was naturally diligent and focused. He was more eager to learn about his own abilities. In a world full of geniuses, talent was everything. Mokuton alone wouldn't be enough to survive.

He knew the famous saying from his past life: The First Hokage used Mokuton to conquer the world, Yamato used Mokuton for landscaping. Knowing his own power was Mokuton, he didn't want to become a glorified gardener.

He was currently training to control his chakra. Since the accidental outburst, Yue could feel the chakra flowing through his chakra pathways. He channeled chakra into his feet, practicing walking on water and climbing trees.

Jiraiya taught him that chakra was like internal energy in the martial arts world of his past life. It filled his dantian, and then it was a matter of learning how to use it effectively.

Yue tried to repeatedly kick the trees along the path, some of them even snapping under the force of his kicks.

Jiraiya was incredibly surprised by Yue's training. This kid, at such a young age, possessed the perseverance and willpower of an adult. His chakra reserves were also unusually large.

He could refine and burn his chakra with precision and speed, generating the immense force to break trees. Even his healing speed was abnormal, recovering quickly from the repeated falls from the trees. This child seemed to have fully inherited the Senju clan's excellent bloodline.

"You must be tired. Take a good rest. Remember to balance work and rest. We still have a long way to go."

Jiraiya said, looking at Yue who was out of breath.

"It's okay, Jiraiya-sensei. I want to practice a little more!"

After all, the Third Great Ninja War would start in a year or so. Yue didn't know if he would be involved, but he needed strength to protect himself.

After falling from the trees countless times, Yue finally mastered the art of climbing trees.

"Jiraiya-sensei, Rina, I did it!"

Yue excitedly announced to them with a smile.

Jiraiya nodded in approval, thinking, "This kid's talent isn't bad. He's already mastered basic chakra control in three days. Although he can't compare to geniuses like Minato or Nagato, his kekkei genkai means he won't be an ordinary person."

Rina was also very happy for Yue, seeing that her younger brother seemed to have a real talent for being a ninja.

"You've already mastered that? Then come and test your chakra nature."

Jiraiya took out chakra test papers from his backpack and motioned for Yue to come over.

"Water, Earth, Wind. Those are your chakra natures."

After the test, Jiraiya said.

"Mokuton is a combination of Earth and Water. Having these two natures is expected. And there's also Wind. Does that mean I'll be making Rasengans like Naruto?"

Yue hoped his chakra nature also included Lightning. There was no other reason, Lightning-based jutsu were just cooler. Sasuke, before getting his Mangekyo Sharingan, relied on his Lightning jutsu to start his journey to become king.

"I'll teach you a simple Earth-based jutsu these next few days." Jiraiya wouldn't teach him Rasengan at this point, the Fourth Hokage hadn't even figured it out yet. Besides, Yue had just learned to control his chakra. He should be happy to learn a simple jutsu.

Jiraiya didn't know Mokuton, so they would have to wait until they reached Konoha. He would give Yue the scroll containing Mokuton techniques, and Yue would have to learn it on his own. For now, he could only teach him a simple Earth-based jutsu.

"This is a basic defensive Earth-based jutsu. First, watch my hand seals. I'll demonstrate it for you."

"Doton: Doryuheki."

"Boom!" A wall of earth shot up from the ground.

"You'll learn this for the next few days. Then I'll teach you how to form hand seals. You must memorize all the hand seal techniques and practice them repeatedly. A ninja's hand seal speed is very important."

Yue nodded. He naturally understood the importance of hand seals.

On the first day, he practiced forming hand seals repeatedly. He wasn't proficient yet, but he had memorized the hand seal techniques.

On the second day, he was eager to try the Doryuheki that Jiraiya had taught him. They reached a clearing, and Jiraiya gave him an encouraging look, signaling him to use the jutsu he had learned.

Yue nervously focused his chakra. This was his first jutsu, and his first time using it. He couldn't help but be excited. He wanted to release all his chakra at once.

He wanted to see the effect of this jutsu, and naturally, he could also see how much chakra he had. It was just a low-level Earth-based jutsu, but hadn't Madara used a B-rank Fire Release to incinerate an entire army?

"Doton: Doryuheki."

After slowly forming the hand seals, Yue concentrated all his chakra and slammed his hand on the ground, softly chanting the jutsu's name.

The entire ground trembled slightly, and a massive wall of earth erupted from the ground, standing before Yue. After using this jutsu, he felt his body begin to weaken, as if he had overexerted himself. But he was still very satisfied with the giant wall that appeared before him.

Jiraiya was incredibly shocked. This kid was giving him a real surprise. His chakra reserves were already on par with a Chunin.

He had underestimated the terrifying kekkei genkai of the Senju clan. He guessed that Tsunade wouldn't have had such a large chakra reserve at this age. He began to have high hopes for this kid's future.

A few days later, the three of them finally reached Konoha. Jiraiya settled Yue and Rina, then immediately went to the Hokage's office to meet with the Third Hokage.

"Sarutobi-sensei, I've brought the child." Jiraiya walked slowly up to Sarutobi.

"I received your letter. Is the child really as you said?" The Third Hokage asked in shock.

Jiraiya nodded.

"This kid seems to have inherited the First Hokage's terrifying talent. Given time, he might even become the next First Hokage."

The Third Hokage looked at Jiraiya in surprise, silent for a long time. Then, he let out a long sigh.

"Bring him to see me. I hope you'll teach him well and cultivate another outstanding talent for Konoha!"

"His kekkei genkai is something I can't teach. He'll have to figure it out on his own. I hope he can attend the Ninja Academy and gradually develop a sense of belonging to Konoha. I'll teach him for a few more months. Once the Ninja Academy opens, he can learn on his own. After that, I'll continue my travels around the world. You know this is my training."

The Third Hokage nodded, unable to say anything.

"Go get the child."
