"Kenta-sama, all the villagers are here!" A Hidden Waterfall renegade ninja bowed slightly to their leader.

"Hand over all your valuables, or you know what happens next!"

Kenta glared at the villagers kneeling on the ground, his eyes full of killing intent.

"Ninja-sama, our village is poor, we've already given you all our valuables. Please spare our village."

The elderly village head, with white hair and a thin frame, spoke in a humble tone.

Kenta glanced at his subordinate, who nodded slightly, seemingly confirming the village head's statement.

"Alright, then hand over all the young girls in your village. We'll leave and spare you,"

Kenta looked at the village head, a hint of excitement in his eyes, and said softly.

"Sir! Please, spare us!"

The village head could only continue to plead, his voice filled with humility. Kenta glanced at his subordinates, signaling them to take action.

The village girls were immediately picked out by the renegades. Rina was among them.

"Stop!"

Seeing Rina being grabbed by the renegade, Yue was startled. Though he had been trembling with fear beside Rina, he mustered all his courage and shouted.

The renegade didn't even look at Yue, and casually kicked him away, sending him flying several meters.

"Ninja-sama, please spare that child. I'm willing to go with you."

Seeing Yue being kicked away, Rina felt a sharp pain in her heart. She could only beg for the child's safety.

Yue, hit by the kick, felt a tightness in his chest and coughed up blood. He struggled to get up and crawl towards Rina.

His inner monologue was: "Big brother! Don't do this! I'm going to die from this kick!"

He still forced himself to charge forward and shout,

"I told you to stop! Let her go!"

He considered this girl, who had taken care of him for six months, as family.

He had no cheat codes, so he might as well go out with a bang. Ending his sinful life early would be a way to protect the only person who had ever been kind to him in this world.

As he neared Rina, the renegade who held her grabbed a few shuriken from his pouch and threw them at Yue.

Rina realized something was wrong. She used all her strength to break free from the renegade and rushed to protect Yue. The shuriken pierced her back, and she slowly collapsed.

"Yue, you must live well!"

Rina's clothes were stained red with blood. She fell to the ground, lifeless.

"Rina!"

Yue shouted, but there was no response.

Seeing Rina, who had protected him, fall, his mind went blank. Endless rage filled his chest.

"I'll kill you all!!!"

Yue roared. He had lost his mind, only feeling a warm current in his body, with a surge of power.

White mist emanated from his body.

The renegade glanced at the child, paying him no mind. He casually threw a kunai toward Yue.

"Clang!"

Yue raised his right hand, and a wooden pillar extended from his arm, blocking the attack. More wooden pillars shot out, piercing the renegade, killing him instantly. He died with wide, incredulous eyes.

"Mokuton!"

The sudden event shocked Kenta. After all, besides the God of Shinobi, no one had ever used Mokuton.

He hardened his heart, signaling his subordinates to attack. They had to take care of this little brat first.

The Hidden Waterfall renegades charged towards Yue. He raised his hands slightly, and countless wooden pillars extended from his arms, piercing the attackers.

"Suiton: Suiryudan no Jutsu!"

His subordinates were instantly killed. Kenta felt a sense of foreboding and quickly formed a hand seal. A water dragon charged toward Yue, as if to swallow him whole.

"Boom!"

After a loud explosion, the water dragon was blocked by a Mokuton wall created by Yue. He was unharmed.

With a powerful push off the ground, he instantly appeared in front of Kenta. He shoved Kenta, and a giant tree suddenly sprouted from the ground behind Kenta. The tree's trunk transformed into flexible arms, wrapping around Kenta and pulling him inside, swallowing him before he could even speak.

After the Hidden Waterfall renegades were all dealt with, Yue's sanity gradually returned. The scene before him blurred, and his body slowly collapsed.

"Yue, Yue, you're awake!"

Rina saw Yue's eyes slowly opening and excitedly nudged him.

As his vision cleared, Yue confirmed that the person before him was Rina. He immediately woke up and embraced her.

"Rina, I'm so glad you're okay."

Rina lightly smacked his forehead.

"I've told you so many times, you should call me Rina-nee! I'm fine, just injured."

For Yue, although he had called her "sister" once, he found it awkward afterward. After all, his age from his previous life was a factor. They had grown closer over time, and he started calling her by her name.

"Right, Yue, there's a ninja from Konoha outside our village. He happened to be passing by and is investigating this incident. After all, our village is under Konoha's protection. He heard about what happened to you and wants to meet you. I'll call him in."

Rina said excitedly. She knew Yue's dream was to become a ninja. This was a ninja from Konoha, a place Yue longed for. Knowing that Yue had saved the entire village, she believed that he would become a powerful ninja in the future.

"No need to bother, I'm already here."

The Konoha ninja slowly walked in.

When Yue saw the person, his heart pounded. He recognized him instantly. It was Jiraiya! One of his favorite characters. If he could just get on his good side, he would be set for life! Everyone knew Jiraiya was the best teacher in the ninja world.

Jiraiya slowly walked up to Yue and glanced at Rina.

"Yue, you talk to the Konoha ninja. I won't bother you. You just woke up, I'll go prepare some food for you."

Jiraiya was shocked after learning about the child. After all, that was Mokuton. He considered the possibility that the child was a descendant of the Senju clan, because only the Senju clan's kekkei genkai could use Mokuton. Of course, he knew that Konoha was conducting research using the First Hokage's cells. He didn't know if the research had been successful yet.

He had been traveling for years. After meeting Nagato, who possessed the Rinnegan, he had now encountered this child who could use Mokuton. Perhaps this child might be the Child of Prophecy. His travels were meant to train the Child of Prophecy.

This was the responsibility given to him by the Great Toad Sage. He naturally knew the importance of Mokuton to the village, so he valued this child greatly.

"You're called Yue, right?"

Jiraiya smiled.

Yue's heart was filled with anxiety. He was filled with thoughts and ideas, wondering how he could get close to Jiraiya. He could only nod dumbly.

"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. I'm very interested in you after investigating what happened. I also heard about your background from your sister."

"I heard your dream is to become a ninja, and you long to be in Konoha. I'm just wondering if you'd be willing to train with me? I'll take you and your sister to Konoha and have you join Konoha!"

Jiraiya said calmly. For Jiraiya, taking him as a student was partly to test the child's abilities, and partly because the child was likely a Senju orphan. He had been cared for by the Senju clan many times. Now that he had met this child, he might as well repay the favor.

"What the heck?" After Jiraiya said this, Yue felt the glow of a protagonist's aura enveloping him. One second he was thinking about how to get close to Jiraiya, and the next second, Jiraiya was offering to take him under his wing.

He could go to Konoha and live a peaceful life. Konoha was much safer than this village.

Who knows when some renegades would show up to rob the village again?

Then he thought again, and he felt a sense of relief. He recalled using Mokuton when he had broken out. Considering Mokuton's special nature in this world, he was bound to be valued.

He had unleashed his power after sacrificing Rina, who was like family to him. Yue cursed inwardly. Damn it, I'm not a Uchiha, I don't have to experience pain when I activate my kekkei genkai.

"It's alright! You can think about it. No rush!"

Jiraiya thought the child was stunned by his words, so he said.

"No!! I don't need to think about it! Of course I'm willing to train with you and join Konoha!"

Yue said excitedly. Why would he even consider it? This was an opportunity he couldn't miss. If he didn't seize it, he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Yue, who had been in this world for half a year, felt the protagonist's aura enveloping him. He was already tearing up inside.

He had confirmed his choice.
