Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 233: Chapter 233: Convergence of Power

The Florian Triangle is a good place to hide. In addition, Moria has stored a lot of supplies on this massive ship. With fewer than ten people on board, they could live comfortably for quite some time.

However, Shin had no intention of staying here for a year or two. Recently, he had begun to feel the effects of the fusion of Devil Fruits. Once the fusion was successful, his Munch-Munch Fruit and Dark Fruit would be close to awakening, leading to a qualitative transformation in his combat power.

'When the time comes, if I collect more Devil Fruits that can be fused, I'll give the World Government a real shock,' Shin thought.

At present, his fused Devil Fruit could exist stably for a few minutes. As long as he made another breakthrough, a completely new Devil Fruit could be formed. In particular, the Shadow-Shadow fruit he had acquired and the Mythical Vampire Fruit were highly compatible. With the synergy between these Devil Fruits, he was confident that within a few months, he could complete the fusion experiment and awaken both of his current Devil Fruits.

To his surprise, the figure standing before him had undergone a drastic transformation. No longer resembling a plump onion, Moria had changed significantly. Although he was still a far cry from his fearsome self of twenty years ago, the bloated ring of fat around his stomach had disappeared, revealing visible muscle definition.

"The speed of his progress is astonishing..." Kyros muttered, wiping the corner of his mouth. He had fought against numerous renowned pirates before, but Moria's resurgence was extraordinary.

"It only took him a few days to regain this much strength. If this continues for a month or two, he might completely overpower us. Is this the real strength of the Shadow-Shadow fruit user?"

Moria let out a low chuckle. "If I fully recover my Haki, then..."

It was remarkable that Moria had recovered so quickly. A large part of it was due to the biological enhancements he had undergone. Even if he refused to train, his body would automatically manipulate his muscle fibers, engaging every part of his physique to restore his former strength.

Initially, Moria had entertained the idea of confronting Shin and his crew, but after being effortlessly subdued multiple times, he abandoned the thought. Once he learned from Perona that Shin and his group were not Kaido's subordinates but had actually defeated Kaido and stolen his Devil Fruit, Moria ceased all hostility toward them.

However, while Moria had no desire to fight them, Shin saw him as an excellent sparring partner. He encouraged Ulti, Page One, and Kyros to challenge Moria in combat. Moria, stripped of his Devil Fruit but enhanced with a biochip, seemed to regain a sense of ambition he had long lost. As he fought against the three warriors, he not only held his ground but gradually returned to his former strength.

Over time, Moria even began to feel a sense of gratitude toward Shin and his group. Their training had helped him claw his way out of his lethargy and reclaim some of his past power. Now, among the remnants of his pirate crew, only one individual remained reluctant to interact with Shin's group, while the rest had gradually accepted their presence.

After Perona realized that Shin had no intention of killing her, she persistently begged him to return her Hollow-Hollow Fruit. Meanwhile, the surgeon of the crew became increasingly impressed with Shin's medical expertise and diligently studied under him, aspiring to achieve the true resurrection of the dead.

'There is no pure land in this world,' Shin thought. 'Even with the Rinnegan, I cannot communicate with the laws of life and death to truly bring back the deceased. However, through advanced transformation abilities, I can create a state similar to life.'

For this reason, Shin had always been interested in Brook's Revive-Revive Fruit. Unlike the Eight-Headed Serpent Fruit, which merely simulated resurrection, the Revive-Revive Fruit interacted with the forces of the underworld itself. However, for now, he remained focused on the fusion of Devil Fruits and had not yet delved into Brook's abilities.

Just as Moria was about to say something after sparring with Kyros and the others, Shin suddenly furrowed his brows. An immense presence swept over the entire massive ship, carrying the ominous weight of an impending natural disaster.

"What is that?!" Ulti was the first to react, shouting as he pointed to the ominous sky outside the window. Originally overcast, the sky now held a colossal black void, swirling with an eerie mist.

What was truly terrifying was that within this dark abyss, countless rows of pale, jagged teeth lined the swirling edges, gnashing as if to consume everything in their path. As the monstrous maw moved, the black hole itself slowly rotated, pulling in the dense mist that had shrouded the Florian Triangle.

The dark clouds above were gradually drawn into the abyss as the sinister force grew stronger.

"That is... the awakening of a Logia!"
