NOVEL NEXT WORLD Chapter 1: 1
Rea blinked sleepily. A misfortunate blunder in the spell she had been casting had connected four different realities together; but it had drained her power and nearly killed her in the process.
What was done could not be undone and after her strength was replenished she would visit the new world she had inadvertently created, it should prove to be quite a journey!
Her dreams were filled with the handsome and dangerous men that she hoped to encounter. Rea sighed happily as she realized that she finally had a reason to leave.
Her guardian could no longer hold her captive.
Rea woke to her guardian running frantically around her bed and shouting various nonsensical statements.
"They're here! They've all come! We're doomed, you damned witch! I told you not to cast spells, didn't I? It's why you never bled!"
"SILENCE! You damn fool; I've bled for nearly ten years. I hid it from you so you couldn't make me into any more of a slave than I already am to you!"
He stopped suddenly and stared silently, angrily; he opened his mouth several times and then stammered.
"You… you hid… You cunt! You worthless brat! Ungrateful bitch!"
"But not your bitch Ritsu! Never yours! I knew you wouldn't marry me unless I could bear you a child; no blood, no child! I'm not as ignorant as you had hoped."
Ritsu drew back his hand but Rea didn't move. She sat boldly on her bed staring into his eyes; it was not the first time he had drawn his hand on her.
Yet it might be the last if she had her say in the matter. His hand fell quickly but a white haired man with a mask over his face moved faster.
He slammed Ritsu into the wall and spoke angrily in an odd language, Ritsu squealed in fear; then the door blew into the room after another man shouted "ROAR OF THE IRON DRAGON!" the man ran into the room and he had metal studs across his face and body and long black hair.
Rea looked from one man to the other in surprise and true terror. Ritsu was simply a bully but what could Rea possibly do against men like this?
A third man, more of a monster really due to his sheer size, came through the ceiling; leaving her cell like room in complete shambles.
Realizing she wore only silk night clothes, Rea pulled up her covers and groaned in horror. "OH GODS what a day!" She stammered and then looked at each of the three men who all seemed equally puzzled.
The last man, the giant wore bells in his hair and had a long slender blade that looked well-worn and he spoke to a pink haired girl on his back.
The girl smiled at Rea and climbed into her lap "It's okay; Ken-Chan won't hurt you, he only fights strong people." Rea sighed in relief; (at least I can understand these two) she thought.
Still fearful, she stood shaking and addressed the three men "I-I'm Rea, it's my fault our worlds have collided and I offer my sincerest apologies." Ritsu began to mutter angrily but was quickly silenced by a short dagger slid alongside his throat by the man with the white hair.
He had one eye covered as well as a mask across his face from his nose down. He looked at Rea and tilted his head slightly saying only "Kakashi." Which she assumed was his name.
The man who had come through her door glared at the other men and said "Iron dragon slayer Gajeel."
He seemed much younger, perhaps only seventeen; compared to the other men that presumably were older although with Kakashi's face covered it was hard to tell for sure. The giant stepped forward and leaned over Rea.
Although she continued to tremble Rea didn't back away from him at all. He laughed loudly and said "Kenpachi, this here's Yachiru."
Rea looked at all of them and then slowly said their names "K-Kakashi, Irn dra Slageel" Gajeel sighed and said "Guh-Jeeeeeel Gajeel" Rea nodded and tried again.
"Gejeel, Ken-Kenpachi,…Yachiru" Yachiru giggled, Kenpachi grunted, Gajeel sighed, and Kakashi presumably smiled before growling at Ritsu and dropping the man to the floor in a crumpled weeping heap.
Rea smiled at Kakashi and nodded her head slightly.
As it turned out Kenpachi and Yachiru were able to speak with everyone present and they worked as a semi linguist between the two of them.
Ritsu was kept close at hand and became more disliked as the small group continued to speak together.
In the end they each agreed to take Rea for a two year tour of their own worlds, or countries as they now appeared to be; and then allow her two years to discover her own country in the hopes that in time she could find a way to help the four countries coexist in their new world.
Rea assumed she honestly had the responsibility of doing so since it was her fault that the worlds had all been thrown together.
Although they spoke different languages Kakashi volunteered to watch Rea for her first two years in his homeland, that way Kenpachi and Yachiru could explore their own world which had been thrown into utter chaos, to be discussed at a later point in time.
