Naruto: All Genders are reversed except for me

Chapter 42: Chapter 42

After fifty judges sampled the unparalleled ramen from Ichiraku Ramen, the outcome was unsurprising—all gave perfect scores.

While the technological advancement of the Naruto world lagged behind modern society, its people's dedication to their craft remained undeniable.

As the judges finalized their scores, the elder struck the bronze gong and solemnly announced the results.

"The competition is over. Hong Le Ramen's total score is... 78 points!"

Even as he announced it, the elder couldn't help casting a complex, astonished glance toward Ichiraku's side.

"And the total score for Ichiraku's unparalleled ramen is... 103 points!"

"Therefore, the title of Konoha's Best Ramen... remains with Ichiraku Ramen!"

As the announcement concluded, the proprietress of Ichiraku beamed, her admiration for the young master growing deeper.

Had it not been for Naruto teaching her kneading techniques she'd never encountered before, coupled with secret ingredients she couldn't even name, Ichiraku would surely have lost to Hong Le this time.

"Mother! We've kept the title of Best Ramen!" Ayame exclaimed excitedly before glancing at Naruto with reverence.

"Madam Ichiraku, follow the script I gave you to address the crowd," Naruto murmured as he stood beside her, his voice low to avoid attracting the attention of both ANBU and Root operatives monitoring him.

"Understood, Master," she replied just as softly.

With the results announced, ramen chefs eager to learn swarmed around them.

They didn't dare hope for Ichiraku to disclose all their secrets, but even gaining a tip or two to improve their noodles' elasticity would be immensely helpful. As for the indescribably delicious broth—nobody dared to ask about its preparation.

"Master Ichiraku, does your unparalleled ramen have a name?"

"Right, such an extraordinary dish deserves a fitting name!"

The crowd of ramen chefs looked at Ichiraku with burning anticipation.

Caught off guard, the proprietress realized that Naruto hadn't included a name for the ramen in his script.

"Uh... I've already decided on a name," she said, forcing calmness as she turned to Naruto. "Disciple, tell them for me."

Her words caused a stir. Even Hong Le, who had maintained composure after losing, showed a flicker of anger when he heard Ichiraku addressing Naruto as her disciple.

"What? That kid apprenticed under Ichiraku?" one ANBU member muttered.

"What's strange about that? He loves ramen," the squad leader replied with a nod. "Regardless, we should report this to Lord Third Hokage."

Meanwhile, atop a nearby tree, two shadowy figures from Root remained motionless, save for the slight sound of their breathing. However, when they overheard the news of Naruto becoming Ichiraku's disciple, the leader of the group pulled out a notebook, meticulously recording the details.

The proprietress's clever decision to redirect the question to Naruto only heightened the crowd's curiosity.

"Kid, hurry up and tell us the name of this unparalleled ramen!"

Seeing the eager faces around him, Naruto smiled slyly and teased, "Master said this ramen's taste and texture truly deserve the title of the greatest in the world..."

Naruto's deliberate pause nearly caused the crowd to collapse in frustration.

"So, what's the name of the greatest ramen?"

"Spit it out already, kid!"

Seeing that the mood had reached its peak, Naruto finally declared, "Its name is... The Matchless Bowl of Heroes!"

"The Matchless Bowl of Heroes?!"

"Matchless in heroism, unrivaled in taste..."

"What a name! Master Ichiraku, I bow to your greatness!"

Ding! You've gained 400 shock points from Ichiraku patrons!

Naruto hadn't expected to collect such a large amount of shock points merely by spectating, thanks to the ANBU and Root operatives keeping him under surveillance. If he'd been able to participate directly, he could've harvested even more.

Sasuke, overhearing the name, thought it matched the ramen perfectly.

Although most people might not know, as Naruto's partner—and, at times, his temporary school girlfriend—Sasuke knew full well the name wasn't Ichiraku's creation. It came from Naruto, the mastermind behind it all.

"Why are you so mysterious, Naruto?" Sasuke mused, watching as Naruto basked in the admiration of the crowd. The boy's unpredictable nature baffled her more with each passing day.

As the crowd chanted, "The Matchless Bowl of Heroes!" the atmosphere reached a fever pitch.

Meanwhile, on the losing side, Hong Le's team looked utterly dejected. His three disciples packed up their tools silently, occasionally glancing enviously at the festive scene around Ichiraku.

Despite this stark contrast, Hong Le appeared unbothered. He stood calm and unyielding, showing no intention of leaving in defeat.

"Master, shall we go?" one disciple asked hesitantly. "Ichiraku's ramen truly deserves its title."

"Hmph, silence!" Hong Le snapped.

But before he could continue berating his disciples, Ichiraku's loud announcement caught his attention.

"Everyone, quiet down!"

With Naruto's prompting, the proprietress stepped forward and addressed the crowd directly.

"The Matchless Bowl of Heroes wasn't created by me alone!"

Her words caused the bustling crowd to fall silent in shock.

"It's true," she continued. "The birth of The Matchless Bowl of Heroes wouldn't have been possible without another master who traveled far and wide in search of knowledge."

Turning to face the crowd, she pointed toward Hong Le and declared, "The key ingredient for The Matchless Bowl of Heroes came from none other than Master Hong Le!"
