As the elderly judge solemnly declared this, the atmosphere around the judging panel became serious.

Soon, the judges gathered around the showcase from Hong Le's team. Before each judge was a bowl of ramen that had been left out for five minutes.

"Since the ramen has been sitting for a while, the texture might not be ideal. I'll allow for some leniency with its elasticity, but the broth must meet the highest standards," one judge commented.

"Exactly. If the ramen can still maintain its bounce despite the wait, I'll give it a full score of two points!"

"No doubt about it. Having traveled for years and learned from renowned ramen masters, Hong Le's broth does have a unique flavor," another judge added.

"Let's begin."

With that, one judge lifted the bowl and started tasting, followed by others who quickly followed suit.

This was a formal tasting. Every judge chewed carefully, evaluating the ramen's texture and savoring the broth's flavor.

Even though Hong Le was confident in his recipe, he couldn't help feeling nervous. He glanced at his calm young apprentice, whose composed demeanor eased his anxiety.

The judges took their time, tasting bite by bite and finally sampling the broth. Given the importance of this competition, every judge treated the process with utmost seriousness.

"Judging complete. Time to score!"

"2 points! For maintaining impressive elasticity despite sitting for five minutes. Hong Le truly is a master."

"2 points! The broth's flavor is the highlight of this competition!"

"2 points! …"

"1 point! From a customer's perspective, the ramen's texture declined too much. While the broth is excellent, ramen is the main focus. Customers won't care if it sat for five minutes!"

"2 points!"

"1 point…"

Each judge gave their scores with reasoned explanations.

After tallying the scores, the elder judge announced loudly, "Hong Le's secret ramen received a total score of 78 points!"

The crowd erupted in murmurs. This was already a high score.

Next, the judges moved swiftly to the showcase from Ichiraku Ramen.

"Since we tasted Hong Le's ramen first, Ichiraku's ramen has been sitting even longer. To ensure fairness, Ichiraku will receive a three-point bonus after scoring. Let's begin tasting!"

The sound of bowls clinking echoed as the judges eagerly lifted Ichiraku's ramen for inspection.

What they saw shocked them.

"How is this possible? Ichiraku's ramen has been sitting for longer, yet it's less bloated than Hong Le's!"

"Exactly. This is truly unusual."

"Wait, is it just me, or does this ramen have an incredible aroma? The broth seems extraordinary!"

"I noticed it too. No wonder Ichiraku has won the Best Ramen Enhancer title for three consecutive years."

"Let's taste it. I've never seen ramen like this before. I wonder how it tastes?"

The judges began to sample the noodles, cutting the strands with their teeth.

Suddenly, a loud exclamation broke the silence.

"My tongue! Oh my god, is this really ramen?"

"After over six minutes, just biting the noodles felt like a rubber band snapping against my tongue. How is this even ramen? Why is it so bouncy?"

The other judges, still waiting to taste, were stunned by the dramatic reaction. Their curiosity grew, and they hesitantly took a bite.

As they chewed, a series of audible snaps echoed. The noodles' elasticity left many judges with expressions of disbelief.

"This is impossible! Ramen this bouncy…?"

"T-this is the pinnacle of ramen?!"

"The flavor of this broth… it's indescribably delicious! I have no words to express its depth."

If anyone had made such claims before tasting, they would have been deemed crazy. But now, even the impossible seemed reasonable.

Eventually, one judge broke the stunned silence.

"I swear, this is the best ramen I've ever eaten. No competition!"

Another judge nodded, tears streaming down his face. "Ten years as a ramen chef, and I realize I knew nothing about ramen. How humbling…"
