My Power to Ignore Enemy Abilities Lets Me Rule Another World

Chapter 19: My ability has unlocked the first seal

I pulled out the communicator from my pocket again, and it showed that Savorn and Avic were nearby.

Thank goodness. This would make things much easier.

"What's the matter? Is that all you've got?"

"To be the first person to take a direct hit from the *Mamba Iron Elbow* and come out unscathed...! You're unbelievable!"

"So what?"

Tadokoro Kozo didn't respond. Instead, he raised both hands high before slamming them down onto the ground with immense force.

The impact triggered a violent tremor, almost like a small earthquake.

The air reverberated with the roar of a wild beast, punctuated by sporadic explosions.

High-pressure geysers of feces and urine erupted from the ground around me, spraying unpredictably in my direction.

To accomplish such a feat without relying on any special abilities—how on earth does this even work?

"In that case, I'll use Kamikitazawa's ultimate *earth-shattering power* to annihilate you!!"

Doesn't matter. This kind of attack is useless against me now.

If he had used this move at the start of the fight, it might have had some effect.

"An impressive move, but you're too late."

I made no attempt to defend myself, letting the torrent of filth wash over my body.

"What… What is going on!? Don't tell me you're immune to this kind of filth!?"

Seeing me remain motionless, the filth-drenched man finally began to panic.

"There's no need to be surprised. I simply 'nullified' your attack—"

Before I could finish, Tadokoro Kozo moved at an astonishing speed, appearing behind me and swinging his elbow at me again.

This strike carried far more force than any of his previous ones, but it too was futile.

"Unmoving like a mountain" would be the most fitting phrase to describe me right now.

My ability isn't so much about "nullifying an opponent's power" as it is "nullifying an opponent's very settings."

Nullifying the parameters of an opponent's abilities, or even the essence of an entity itself—that's essentially how it works.

Even the settings of inorganic things, like robots, can be directly ignored by me.

Tadokoro Kozo's elbow strikes couldn't hurt me because I had nullified the very "setting" that allowed his elbow to "cause damage."

The high-pressure geysers of feces and urine couldn't touch me because I had nullified the "intense pressure" inherent to a "high-pressure stream," along with every parameter of the filth itself.

"How is this possible!? Even physical strikes can't hurt you!? Just what are you—agh!?"

Sensing something, Tadokoro Kozo looked down to find my black short sword piercing through his abdomen.

I had wanted to test the effects of this short sword earlier, but the intense fight hadn't given me the chance.

"This little short sword… short sword… Uh! Ugh! Aaaargh! Gaaaahhhhhhh—aaaaaaaahhhhhh!"

The previously towering, muscular man, who seemed almost immovable, was now screaming in agony.

Getting stabbed by an ordinary blade shouldn't cause this level of pain. This must be the effect of the short sword.

Moments later, Tadokoro Kozo went silent, dying while still standing upright.

"So that's it? It's over already? I don't fully understand, but this short sword is definitely no ordinary weapon…"

In any case, it's a fine blade. I'll carry it with me from now on.

"And another thing—don't interrupt people when they're speaking. Remember that in your next life."
