My Manor

Chapter 369: Chapter 368: Medicine, Medicine, Check Nao

"Shall we go?" Jiang Hai, who had just finished, watched the performance on stage become more intense.

It seemed that he unconsciously felt the change again. The girl sitting close to his side noticed the difference in Jiang Hai and, with a smile, asked, "Shall we go?" At the same time, she placed her hand on his arm.

"Okay." Hearing her words, Jiang Hai felt no burden. He had come here to have fun, and it was never his intention to get involved with this girl. That was the very reason he came.

So when the girl mentioned it, Jiang Hai smiled, replied, and placed the orange juice in his hand on the table.

After standing up, he turned and was about to leave with the girl. The waiter from earlier was just a quick service; now, Jiang Hai was heading to have a proper meal. But just as they were about to leave, a woman from behind stopped them.

"Hi, can you take me with you?" Jiang Hai turned around and looked at the girl behind him, whose performance was almost over. He was a little surprised. He had heard about such situations before, but this was his first time experiencing it. He couldn't help but glance at the girl next to him.

The girl didn't mind. After all, Jiang Hai was the sponsor. She simply smiled and shrugged.

"Okay." Following the principle of enjoying himself, Jiang Hai waved at the girl on stage.

Upon hearing Jiang Hai's words, the girl jumped up excitedly. Her chest shook wildly, making Jiang Hai's eyes nearly pop out. Fortunately, she only jumped for a short while before quickly putting on her clothes. She didn't go to change but simply wore her performance outfit as she followed Jiang Hai to leave.

There was no way around it. The income from dancing here for a day wasn't as much as Jiang Hai's reward from earlier. It's said that girls love to look good and enjoy tickets.

These girls now? The love for tickets was paramount. Since Jiang Hai was so willing to spend, who else could accompany him?

Jiang Hai wouldn't refuse the initiative of the two girls. He led them away, one on the left, one on the right, and they got into his car. Though the alley was small, it was still a well-lit street.

Following the guidance of the two girls, Jiang Hai took a turn into a much darker alley.

Although it was dark, there were still many cars here, many of which were shaking violently.

Jiang Hai was no stranger to this kind of shaking, and now, he was even more eager.

After casually stopping in a dark corner, Jiang Hai rushed from the driver's seat to the back.

With a few laughs and exclamations, Jiang Hai's body began to shake uncontrollably...

Meanwhile, across the room:

"When you go out to play, you should relax a bit. Don't be so tense all the time. It's not good for you. Come, have a drink!" As the performance neared its end, Pra Walton turned her attention from the dancers on stage to Selena Gomez beside her, chuckling as she spoke.

Beside her, the other five women had already begun dancing to the music. Her eyes occasionally flickered between Pra Walton and the dancers above. As for their glances, Pra Walton didn't mind.

Her focus now was entirely on Selena Gomez.

"No, Sister Pra, I really can't drink. I have to protect my vocal cords." Selena Gomez shook her head, politely refusing.

"Don't give me that! Don't forget where we met. You don't refuse wine. Come on, drink it." Pra Walton wasn't deterred. She moved closer and brought the drink to Selena's lips. If Selena didn't drink, she would pour it in.

"Sister Pra, I really don't want to drink," Selena Gomez said, shocked by Pra Walton's forcefulness. She never expected this sister to be so insistent.

"Come on, just one glass!" Pra Walton said, pressing further.

Selena tried to dodge, but as Pra Walton applied more pressure, the wine glass tipped over.

"Wow!" The wine poured out, splashing across Selena Gomez's body.

Everyone around them immediately turned their attention to the scene.

When they realized it was wine, there was a brief pause as everyone looked at Selena and Pra Walton.

The atmosphere became awkward, but Pra Walton quickly grabbed the glass and drank it down in one gulp.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. This is troublesome. Let's go change clothes." Pra Walton apologized, looking at Selena with regret.

"Oh, it's fine. There's a waterproof layer in my clothes. I'll just wipe it off inside." Selena Gomez wasn't one for playfulness, especially with someone as powerful as Pra Walton. If she wanted help, she might need some strategy. But she knew that being too playful could lead to trouble.

Despite their close relationship, which made it hard for Selena to stay mad at her, she could only sigh and head to the bathroom to clean up.

Back at the table:

As Selena Gomez returned from the bathroom, Pra Walton smiled.

"Come on, order a drink. Since you don't want to drink, just have one of these." This time, Pra Walton didn't press Selena to drink, but instead, she smiled and gestured for her to order something.

Relieved, Selena Gomez breathed a sigh of relief. In her mind, alcohol might be harmful in excess, but a simple drink would be fine.

She waved to the waiter and ordered a Long Island Iced Tea—a cocktail originally made during the U.S. alcohol prohibition.

It was once non-alcoholic, but now, there were two types—one with alcohol, and one without. Selena ordered the non-alcoholic version, and it arrived promptly.

Picking up the glass, she took a gentle sip. The drink was great, and she had to admit that this bar not only had great performances but also excellent drinks. If it weren't for Pra Walton, she would never have come. The performance didn't appeal to her, but this drink? It was delightful.

Watching Selena finish her drink, Pra Walton smiled knowingly.

She was sure that tonight, Selena Gomez wouldn't escape her grasp.

As Pra Walton smiled, Selena Gomez turned to look at her, and for some reason, her heart skipped a beat. She couldn't shake the feeling that something might go wrong.

She tried to think back to what could have gone wrong, but couldn't come up with anything.

Then, she suddenly felt her heartbeat quicken. Her mind began to blur, and her body grew hot.

At that moment, she realized she had been trapped without even realizing it.

"Are you okay? You don't look well. Let's go home." Pra Walton, noticing Selena's condition, couldn't help but laugh. She had been waiting for this moment and now, her patience was wearing thin.
