My Husband Dumped Me for His Blind Crush

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Lonely Long Night, You Have to Solve It Yourself?

Sheng Youxia returned to Xi Zi Bay, realizing continual searching like this was no solution, it might be better to hire a few people to pose as patients and screen them layer by layer.

When Fu Shilv called her, she was still in a daze, and it took her several seconds to pick up.

"Hello?"

"Sheng Youxia, are you asking for death?"

The man's voice was laced with a bone-chilling cold, revealing his true unkind nature, didn't it?

"Mr. Fu, I'm in perfect health, and even if you wish to get rid of me, don't curse me, please."

"Don't play dumb with me, did you cancel Huang Youquan's specialist appointment?"

Was he trying to blow this up so the whole hospital would know?

Sheng Youxia's neck felt slightly itchy, she gently scratched at the thin layer of flesh with her finger, "Mhm, I'm genuinely worried about you."

"Worried about lonely, long nights, wanting to solve it yourself?"

Sheng Youxia had to admire him, the first person who could make her blush and fluster with just one sentence.

"Yeah," Sheng Youxia continued along his line, "Marital happiness is very important, and I'm still so young."

Beep beep beep—

He had hung up.

That night, Fu Shilv didn't come home but Sheng Youxia was used to it. She couldn't withstand Tang Hui's incessant nagging and went out with her for a drink.

"It really works, hahaha, I need to stock up on a few more packs." Who knows when she might need it, right?

Sheng Youxia only sipped a little sake, not drinking much.

"Help me get some more."

Tang Hui seemed a bit incredulous, "More?"

"Mhm."

"Wouldn't taking too much arouse his suspicions?"

Sheng Youxia pinched the glass between two fingers, her wrist swaying as she watched the liquor splash chaotically within the glass.

"I won't take too much, he won't touch me this month, so I'll save the medicine for next month."

Sheng Youxia had told her about what Ji Xingtang and the others said, and Tang Hui trembled with rage, "Fine, leave the medicine to me, let's make sure he'll never be able to get it up again!"

She wanted to comfort her best friend; Tang Hui had seen Sheng Youxia stumble and fall too many times and felt it wasn't worth it.

Moreover, there was a woman slowly gaining favor by Fu Shilv's side.

"There's an event at Nan Lake next week. Let's go have some fun. You like fireworks, right? I'll book a cruise..."

Sheng Youxia's eyes dimmed a bit; she had wanted to go with Fu Shilv last year, but he had refused.

When she returned home, the light in the master bedroom was on. Sheng Youxia walked in to find Fu Shilv sitting on the edge of the bed, already showered and emanating a fresh vibe.

"Where have you been?"

Sheng Youxia took off her coat, "Had dinner with Tang Hui."

The man's hair was half-dry, and he pressed a towel to his head, gently patting the top.

Sheng Youxia noticed the prominent veins on the back of his hand.

While she was lost in thought, Fu Shilv yanked off the towel and stared up at her, "I'm better now."

"Better from what?"

Fu Shilv grew a bit impatient, which, on any other day, might have made him too lazy to continue the conversation.

But tonight, he showed an unusual patience towards Sheng Youxia, "I'm not sick; I was just tired these past few days."

He emphasized certain words more heavily.

Sheng Youxia made an "oh" sound. So, it meant... he was back in form.

Fu Shilv saw she was quite dismissive and his face showed not a trace of excitement.

"Don't you have anything to say?"

Sheng Youxia smiled, a sudden bitterness crept between her brows, "Congratulations on regaining your vigor, so tonight... shall we?"

As she spoke, she sat down next to him, her hand had just lifted to touch his face when he avoided her and climbed into bed.
