My Hero Academia: Thunder God

Chapter 268: Chapter 267: High IQ vs. High-Level Mind!

"Momo, do you have a plan?"

Mina tore her gaze away from the Pokémon-like sculptures surrounding them. As much as she found them interesting, there were far more pressing matters at hand.

"This makeup exam is such a pain. And if I fail, I won't be able to go to the training camp! I have to pass!"

She then turned to Momo with wide, pleading eyes, looking utterly pitiful. "I'm counting on you, Momo!"

"Don't worry, I'll do my best," Momo reassured her with a gentle smile. She then looked toward the bright blue sky, her posture elegant and composed.

"As for a strategy… The principal's Quirk is certainly unique, but his physical combat ability is likely his weak point. So instead of trying to escape right away, I'd like to get close and capture him directly."

"Yes!"

Mina clapped her hands together excitedly. "Once we find the principal, we won't even need to fight! He'll just surrender, right?"

"But…" A hint of doubt flashed in Momo's eyes. "Is it really that easy to get close to him? After all, he is the principal of U.A. High School."

"Well, we won't know until we try! Let's just start moving, maybe we'll get lucky and run into him right away! Hahaha!" Mina said optimistically.

---

In the monitoring room, Kaminari stood beside Kyoka, watching as Momo and Mina sprinted across the screen.

Honestly, he didn't think this exam would be particularly difficult for Momo. Whether it was reaching the exit or locating the principal, she had the intelligence and skill to handle both.

The environment of the test area, combined with the principal's Quirk, meant that Momo actually had the advantage.

Because…

"This is basically a battle of high IQs, huh?" Kyoka mused, intrigued by the match-up.

"Momo is a true genius, while the principal's Quirk is literally 'High IQ,'" Kaminari added, also eager to see how the confrontation would unfold.

At that moment, Recovery Girl, who had been watching from her seat, corrected them.

"Actually, the principal's Quirk isn't High IQ, it's called High-Spec. It goes far beyond ordinary intelligence."

"Ohhh, that makes sense!" Midoriya, Iida, and the others nodded in realization.

But before they could discuss further, something massive happened on the screen.

Even though they couldn't hear the sounds from the test area, the visuals alone were enough to be jaw-dropping.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

---

"Momo, did you hear that?" Mina came to a halt, looking around in alarm.

"Yes… It sounds like something big is moving," Momo responded cautiously.

The small Vulpix at her feet tilted its head, its ears twitching as if it had already pinpointed the source.

"This can't be the principal, right…?" Mina asked hesitantly. After all, the thunderous noise didn't exactly fit the image of their tiny headmaster.

BOOM!

CRACK!

Just then, a massive steel pipe above them suddenly snapped and came crashing down.

"Whoa!! RUN!!"

BOOM!

Mina barely managed to dodge, clutching her chest as she gasped. "That was way too close!"

"Come on!" Momo grabbed Mina's hand and pulled her forward at full speed.

Behind them, steel pipes, concrete chunks, and electrical wires all came crashing down like a relentless hailstorm. Dust billowed thick into the air, turning their surroundings into a suffocating gray fog.

"Aaahh! Momo, what the hell is happening?!" Mina shouted as they sprinted.

"These falling objects are targeting us. This has to be the principal's doing!" Momo responded, yelling over the chaos.

"But how is he doing this?!"

"The others in the monitoring room must already have an idea!"

---

Back in the surveillance room, the students were equally shocked by what they were witnessing.

"Wait… Is the principal controlling all that heavy machinery?!" Iida exclaimed.

"But how is he attacking from such a distance?" Midoriya wondered aloud.

"It's not like he's anywhere near them," Asui added, her lips slightly pursed.

Kyoka found it strange as well, but instead of guessing, she instinctively turned toward Kaminari.

Noticing her gaze, Kaminari smirked slightly. "It's prediction."

"Prediction?" Kyoka tilted her head, her earjacks twitching slightly in curiosity.

"The principal's Quirk isn't just high intelligence, it's beyond that. His brain processes calculations at an insane speed, meaning he can predict the outcome of events before they even happen."

He gestured toward the screen. "He's not attacking randomly, he's calculating exactly where Momo and Mina will be, and using that data to strike in advance."

On the big screen, Momo and Mina looked increasingly battered as they barely managed to evade each wave of destruction.

But Kaminari frowned.

"Why isn't she using it? She could stop all of this easily…"

"Momo, what are you thinking?"

---

The perspective switched to the principal.

There he was, perched atop a massive construction crane, one paw effortlessly maneuvering the control stick, swinging a huge wrecking ball into the surrounding buildings.

In his other paw, he delicately held a porcelain teacup, sipping calmly with a relaxed smile.

The contrast was ridiculous.

Watching this, several students in the monitoring room felt their lips twitch.

"Why does he look so smug?! He deserves a punch just for that face!"

On the screen, the principal chuckled to himself.

"Predicting how each collapse will cause a chain reaction is as simple as brewing a cup of tea!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

More buildings crumbled under his calculated onslaught. The industrial zone now resembled a full-scale war zone, dust and debris clouding the sky.

"But neither of you have realized… that I've been slowly cutting off your path to the exit!"

He grinned.

"Remember, a true mastermind villain doesn't need to fight, they just sit back and watch their plan unfold! Hahaha!"

---

Elsewhere in the testing area—

"No! The principal is blocking our path to the exit!"

Still panting from all the running, Momo pulled up a holographic projection generated by the Vulpix at her feet.

It displayed a real-time map of the entire industrial zone, tracking all movement and destruction caused by the principal's attacks.

A fully updated map of their battlefield.

"What do we do now?!" Mina asked, exasperated.

"We have two options," Momo stated.

"One—we use this map to navigate through the remaining open routes. The principal probably hasn't sealed off everything… since this is just an exam."

"And the second?"

"The second option…" Momo's gaze hardened.

"We go directly to the principal and capture him!"

The real-time map had already pinpointed the principal's exact location.

"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Mina yelled.

She had already built up plenty of frustration from being chased like a stray dog, she wanted payback.

"The problem is… we're still pretty far from him. And there's no guarantee that he hasn't already blocked the paths leading to his location," Momo pointed out.

As Momo and Mina debated their next move, back in the surveillance room, Kaminari's frown deepened.

"She still isn't using it? Why?"

Instinctively, his right hand drifted toward the golden Poké Ball-like devices attached to his belt.
