Chapter 472: [470] Fantasized!
With the "Nalakuvera Incident" behind them, life settled back into a peaceful rhythm.
One notable change was that the incident brought Asagi and August much closer.
A classic hero-rescuing-the-damsel move might be cliché, but it's undeniably one of the most effective ways to win a girl's favor. Now, the two were more than just friends.
As for Kojou, he took yet another blow. His growing distance from Asagi only made things worse.
These days, Kojou didn't even have a medium by his side—let alone any girls. If you stretched it, the only one left was his little sister, Nagisa.
But no matter how desperate he got, he'd never lay a hand on his own sibling.
Because of this, Kojou kept missing chance after chance, letting girl after girl slip away. His power stagnated, never advancing.
Worse still, after sucking blood just once and never again, even his golden lion familiar was starting to rebel. In reality, Kojou's strength wasn't just stalled—it was declining.
The contrast couldn't be starker. The Lion King Organisation began to question whether Kojou, the Fourth Primogenitor, was still worth their investment.
He was just too pathetic—showing no signs of potential.
Especially after witnessing August's power, they were downright terrified.
On one hand, you had Kojou, who might grow into a primogenitor someday. On the other, August, who was already nine-tenths of the way to being a primogenitor-tier powerhouse.
Any clear-headed person could see which one held more value.
Sure, backing Kojou could yield big rewards—like the merit of raising a king from scratch. His blood companions could become future queens, far easier to control than August, who'd already reached the top.
But August and Kojou were locked in a fight to the death. Whether Kojou could even grow into his potential was a big "if."
For these reasons, the Lion King Organisation had all but given up on Kojou. Even when Yuiri and Shio were taken by August, they didn't bother rescuing them or sending reinforcements.
Knock~ Knock~
"Come in~"
Inside the office, August lounged on the sofa, flipping through a comic book. Hearing the knock, he called out casually.
"August, I figured you'd be here."
The door swung open, and Asagi stepped in, a knowing glint in her eyes as she spotted him.
It wasn't exactly a secret. If August wasn't wandering around Saikai Academy, he was holed up in Natsuki's office. She'd banned him from roaming elsewhere.
After all, August was a walking time bomb. If he went off outside, Itogami Island would be done for.
"Hey, Asagi. Looking for me?"
"Yeah, there's something."
"What's up? I'm free anyway. Natsuki-chan won't let me go out, and there's nothing to do around here."
"Could you come with me to the art room?"
"The art room? For what?"
"To help me with an assignment."
"Assignment?"
"Yeah, figure drawing. I want you to be my model."
"Sure, I've got nothing better to do."
August agreed without a second thought, and a smile flashed across Asagi's face.
They soon arrived at the art room. With no classes scheduled today, it was empty.
Asagi grabbed her art supplies from a nearby cabinet—clearly prepped in advance. The familiarity of the scene struck August.
"Alright, strip."
"Sure—wait, hold on. You're that eager right here? Shouldn't we at least head home?"
"What are you talking about?! I meant take off your clothes!"
"Isn't that what I said?"
"No! I need you as my model, not for—ugh!"
Asagi's face turned beet red. Growing up, she'd never dealt with anything like this.
A guy misunderstanding her intentions, thinking she wanted that? She was still an innocent maiden!
Blushing furiously, she shoved a bag at him. August peeked inside—white suit, gold-rimmed glasses, black dress shoes.
"What's this for?"
"Props. Put them on. I'm drawing you."
"White suit, gold glasses, black shoes—the full 'pretty boy' package."
"What 'pretty boy' package? Just put it on!"
"You sure this is my size?"
"Of course! I checked with Yukina."
"I—"
August was speechless. If she'd asked Yukina, it'd be spot-on.
The reason? Simple. He'd already claimed Yukina and Sayaka long ago. Living surrounded by beautiful girls and not making a move would've been torture.
Himeragi was still young, and her saintly aura made August hesitate to touch her too soon.
Natsuki? She was just a magical clone—impossible to pin down.
That left Yukina and Sayaka fair game. Sent by the Lion King Organisation as offerings, August wasn't about to let them go to waste.
He ducked into a changing booth and slipped into the outfit.
Clothes make the man, as they say. In the white suit, gold glasses, and polished shoes, August transformed into the picture-perfect gentleman prince.
No exaggeration—he could walk out like this and charm any girl with a single glance. Zero chance of striking out.
"My white knight prince~"
Asagi's cheeks flushed as she gazed at him.
"Hey, this good enough?"
"Ah—yeah! Stand over there. I'll start drawing."
August's voice snapped her out of it. Flustered, she fumbled with her canvas, pinned the paper, grabbed her brush, and got to work.
As she painted, her mind started spinning.
Girls are hopeless romantics. One look at a handsome guy, and their imaginations run wild, conjuring up full-blown drama series in their heads.
Asagi was no exception. The more she drew, the redder her face got. Eventually, the image took shape.
It wasn't a portrait of August. Instead, it was an intimate scene—a kiss between a man and a woman. The man was August; the woman was Asagi herself.
August soon noticed something off. Leaning in, he froze.
Usually, it's guys fantasizing about goddesses. But today? He'd hit the jackpot—fantasized about by a beauty. And honestly? It felt pretty damn good.
