Chapter 21
Chapter 21. Reviewing the App During Travel Time
This time as well, we took the back roads to head to the campsite.
During the long travel time, I found myself reminiscing about what had happened since I got the tablet.
*****
There are only two icons on the tablet’s screen.
The first one, Hirogel-kun is a pioneering app.
Its main features seem to be related to land development, with functions like Logging and Land Clearing available. There are also options like Gathering and Cultivation, so it really does seem to have features centered around pioneering.
To use these features, there’s something called KP (Pioneering Points), which you can accumulate and then use to access the functions.
I was curious about how to earn them, but I was surprised to find that I already had 1,520 KP saved up. I could check the breakdown, and it seems 1,000 KP were bonus points. Maybe either Ignis-sama or the Inari-sama gave them to me as a bonus.
The remaining 520 KP seem to have been counted based on my actions while camping in the other world, like weeding and logging.
Thinking about it, KP seems to be added based on your actions even if you don’t use the app (though if you use KP to activate a function, no KP is earned—it just gets deducted).
It seems best to do as much as I can on my own and use the app for more difficult tasks, like breaking down mountain slopes or reinforcing them.
The second app, Tateru-kun, is a construction app.
It seems you can build houses, warehouses, and even things like fences for the property. Of course, it also includes toilets and bathhouses, but the points required for these (also KP) were corrected in red and halved.
Maybe the bonus points were added to help me build these.
However, this app is quite tricky.
There are several types of buildings you can construct. The early ones are things like Tents or Huts (with dirt floors), and eventually, you can even build a Castle. When I looked at the required points, it was clear I wouldn’t be able to save up enough in my lifetime.
That aside, there are also regular houses, like a Log House which comes with a bath and toilet.
Yes! It has both a bath and a toilet!
However, this Log House costs 1,500 KP, and if I use that, I’ll only have 20 KP left (without the bonus, it would be 1,000 KP).
By the way, a simple toilet is discounted from 250 KP to 200 KP, and a bathhouse is discounted from 500 KP to 300 KP.
Should I spend almost all my KP to build the Log House? Or should I stick to a tent life with a simple toilet and bathhouse and save up more KP first?
“That ‘Storage’ thing seems suspicious too.”
As I gripped the steering wheel again, I decided to ask Inari-sama about various things before making a decision.
