Chapter Seventy-Six:

Reinhardt's Residence

"Iman, have you found something useful?" I quickly asked him as we enter my room.

"I still couldn't find anything about the daughter of our King. They seem so secretive with that even the servants around the palace don't know a thing. Though there is something changes around the palace."

His last statement took my attention. "What is it?"

"The guards around the palace suddenly increase."

"For what reason? Have you learned something about it?"

"I am trying to find out something but then no one speak of it."

I walk at the window and open it. "That is something suspicious." I think I should find out myself. "Let's go visit the palace." I decided.

Meanwhile…

"Mau!" I called but I still couldn't find Maury elsewhere and I am getting tired of looking for him. Now that I need him, I couldn't find him. Where in the world did, he go?!

"You were looking for your right hand?" suddenly out of nowhere someone spoke to me.

I look around and found him sitting on a branch of a tree. He or a she looks odd. The way this person wears, yellow and green stripe shirt, purple vest and tight yellow and green stripes pants. While his or her hair half tied up bun and half put down in messy curly looks. And his face looks kind of pale with his or her lips colors in cherry. He or she looks so odd all at once.

"Wh-who are you?" I am a bit doubtful of asking him but there is something about him that I really need to stay away but for some reason I couldn't move my feet away from him.

He laughs before he jumps out of the tree. "Am I odd to you?"

"Ha?!"

He laughs again before he answered. "Anyway, you can call me 'The Joker' since that I look like this." He or she pointed out his or her outfit. "And one more thing… I am a man who dress like this in this time and year… that doesn't fit at all." he stated and smiled so wild that kind of scared me but I kept it to myself.

I secretly swallow to clear my throat and asked him. "How did you get in here?"

"I can go anywhere I want and I can get inside every time I wanted to. So, I don't need any--"

"Guards!" I hurriedly called out our guards but no one hears me. "Guards!" I shouted out loud but still there is no respond. What is happening?!

"Come on! Don't kill the fun!" he suddenly said with a smile that emits evil.

"Who you really are?!" I madly asked him in a high tone.

"I already told you, my name. I'm 'The Joker'." He simply answered that I just smirk. "Oh, the looks in your face tells me 'Are a jerk or what?' but I am not!" he said as he put up high his hands like a mime. "Anyway, I am not here to do anything that will get you mad. I am just here to tell you a story."

"A story?"

"Uhm," he nodded and smiled.

"What is that?"

"A long story or a short story?" he replied and put his fingers to his chin as if he was thinking deep that frustrates me.

"If you don't have anything good to say, can you please leave? Just go!" I irritably answered.

"No! No! No!" he said as he waves his index finger at me. "You need to hear this. It will give you some nice clue. I promise." He said in a very lovely and exited tone as if he doesn't look so suspicious and as if I don't feel like I am getting annoyed by his reactions.

"I don't care! So, get out of our property now!" I shouted but he looks at me with those evil puppy eyes. What the hell is he doing?! I cringe with his looks.

He suddenly burst out of laughing. "Whoa!" he even shouted out loud that will get any one's attention but still no one came out.

"You! Who the hell are you?!"

He stops laughing and looks at me seriously with his eyes color of a deep darkness. "Hell cannot compare the place where I live but…" his face suddenly change and his eyes became lighter together with smile. "Now, you have to know this story. A story, that will lead you to the truth… what can you say if you lend some time to listen to it?"

"What!" I take a very deep breath while looking at him with those odd smiles.

Reinhardt's Residence, Front Gate

"Prince Kieran." Maury suddenly came before I could ride the carriage.

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry to ask, but have you seen Prince Kanik?"

I think of it and I remember he came out at the garden and then that's it. "I saw him going at the garden." I replied. "Why did you ask?"

"We are about to meet and talk there but I was been waiting for him for almost an hour and yet he didn't come."

"But I am so sure he went at the garden." I really did saw him but then, I don't know but there is something mysterious earlier when I saw him as if…

"Prince Kieran?" Iman suddenly interferes.

I look at him. "What is it?"

"We have to go." he replied.

"Oh, yes." I look back to Maury. "Go see him to his room maybe he gets tired and went back there." I just said.

"Yes, my Prince. And I'm so sorry for bothering you."

"Don't be." I spoke. "Knowing Kanik, I know it was him who keeps bothering you. But anyway, I already knew you're used to it."

"Yes, indeed." Maury answered.

"Alright. You may go." I said and turned my gaze back to Iman. "Let's go."

Sage's Residence

Netro hurried into the house and I was really surprised by his arrival.

"What?!"

"We have a serious matter. 'The Joker' comes back."
