Chapter 63: The Cabot Tribe. The Reinhardt Brothers
Chapter Sixty-Three:
Downtown
Flower Shop
My boss stared at me intently after I handed her my resignation letter. It was a long time before she responded or reacted to my decision and I could hardly breathe because of the extreme nervousness I was feeling.
"Are you really intended to resign?" she asked me with those emotionless features.
"Ye-yes I am." I answered with a doubt.
"Here." She suddenly brought back my resignation letter that surprised me. "What? Won't you take it?"
"Huh! Ahm, wh-why are you taking it back?" I surprisingly asked her.
"Give it to me when you finally decide to quit your job."
I'm speechless at what she said and before I could answer she suddenly stood up. "Wait, Madam!" I spoke.
"I still need to take care of something so you and Amy will take care of the shop, alright? Now, I have to leave." She answered and left without letting me to answer.
Cullen Village Ruin
The Cullen Village was the original place of the Cabot Tribe, the place where the original Witches and Warlocks lives but ever since the curse has been activated the whole village and almost the whole villagers have been destroyed. Only few of the Witches and the Warlocks left alive and they choose to live with a different life.
One of them is the Princes of the tribe, who chooses to live and work along with the humans. She lives in silence and until she finally met the one that she's been waiting for. The child that will save their coven from the cursed that has been brought to them by one of their members. The child was the first one who reaches out for help and without any hesitation and doubt she helps the child by giving her a job that will get close to her side. Yet things become complicated because of what the other elders done to the truth. They alter the truth, covering everything that will lead them for their salvation makes her fall into deep worry.
"What will you do now, my Princess?"
Her guardian asked. "I need to talk to the elders." She decided.
"I will send your command."
"Good." She replied. "And bring with them King Harkan and Prince Norward."
"Yes, my Princess."
Reinhardt's Residence
To this day I still can't get King Harkan's reaction to my question. So, I'm sure he knew something about the woman Duke Haimon dating. Reason for me to know the whole truth even more.
"Iman." I immediately called my right hand.
"Yes, my Prince."
"Come with me at downtown. I wanted to meet the lady's name Liraz."
"Yes, my Prince."
Meanwhile…
Downtown
Flower Shop
"Prince Kanik is here again." Amy whispered at me when suddenly someone came in at the shop and when I look back, I saw Kanik coming in.
I take a deep breath before I answered. "I'll take care of him." I said and went to greet him. "Good day, Sir Kanik."
"Ow, Lady Liraz I finally get to see you!" he happily and excitedly answered after seeing me.
"What can I do for you?"
"I want to talk to you in private." He commanded.
"Are you commanding me?" I couldn't stop myself not to be a little rude since I don't like the way he said it.
He laughs. "So sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or anything it just that I'm just used to it."
"If you are used to that forgive me because I do not like such a word."
"Oh, no, no! I'm the one who should apologize. And I am so sorry." He said and this time he was sincere to his words. "Then, can we talk in private?"
"I accept your apology but why do we need to talk in private?"
"Well, it is something that I just wanted to confirm. The information I'm going to say is pretty private so we really need to talk in a private place, if you don't mind?"
It took me a minute before I decided to agree to him. "Fine, I'll talk to you in private."
"Good!" he exclaimed. "So, let's go?"
"I'll just say goodbye to my co-worker and then we'll leave."
"Go ahead I'll wait for you Lady Liraz."
He answered and I just silently nodded before I went to Amy and tell her that I'll be going out for a while. Even though I had a hunch of what Kanik might ask me, I still needed to hear from him what it was. That is why I agreed to talk with him even though I am trying to avoid him ever since that day he said that he wants me.
"Let's go." I said as soon as Amy finally let me go and he guide me to his carriage and took us to a nice place.
When I saw the place, we went to after we got off the carriage, I was immediately amazed because I knew only the rich could enter and eat in that place. It was as if he was deliberately letting me know that he was not just any human being. That I already knew from the very beginning and surprising me with this kind of thing won't matter to me. Yet I stayed quiet until we came in and a servant led us to a private room where we can talk in private.
"You can order anything that you want." He said as soon as we sit down as if he had no intention of telling me what he wanted to ask me.
"Sorry to say this but we didn't come here to just eat, am I right?" I frankly asked him.
"Yes. But there is no harm if we eat first before I ask you, right?"
I deeply sigh. "Sorry if I'm rude but I still have work to do so if you are not going to ask me then maybe I should just go." I was about to stand up when he suddenly speaks up.
"Are you Duke Haimon's woman?" he finally asked.
