Chapter 37: Chapter 039 : These three are maniacs!
Seeing the rapidly approaching ice spikes, Bakugo Katsuki exploded with frustration. Using his explosive Quirk to defend himself, he shouted angrily at Todoroki Shoto.
"I can't dodge anything! Both sides are walls! You half-faced jerk, are you an traitor?"
Before he finished speaking, there was a loud *boom* as the ice spikes pierced through one of the walls.
*Bang...*
*Bang...*
*Bang...*
From inside the ice spikes came repeated banging sounds. Bakugo Katsuki blasted open a path with his Quirk.
The moment he saw Todoroki Shoto, a vein bulged on his forehead. Without a word, he rushed over and grabbed Todoroki by the collar again.
"You bastard! Are you working with them?"
"Sorry. I didn't consider that earlier," Todoroki Shoto replied with the same calm expression as before.
Bakugo's face twitched as he let go of Todoroki's collar. "Stay out of my way! I can handle him myself!"
"Don't you get it yet? You're not even strong enough to beat me, let alone him," Todoroki said coolly.
Suddenly, as they argued, a sharp cracking sound came from the ground beneath them.
With a *whoosh*, large chunks of wood, as thick as a person's head, shot out like giant snakes, wrapping around them tightly and hardening immediately.
Bakugo Katsuki froze. "What... is this thing?"
Todoroki Shoto frowned. "His Quirk seems even stronger than last time."
"What are you talking about? Isn't his Quirk fire-related?" Bakugo struggled while asking.
"It is... but he has two Quirks," Todoroki explained.
"What... two Quirks?" Bakugo's face twisted even more.
Just then, Ezaki Kitazawa appeared in front of them, smiling.
"Can you guys be more serious in this fight?"
Before they could react, he kicked both of them, shattering the wooden restraints. The two were sent flying and crashed into the wall, leaving spider-web-like cracks.
They quickly got up, breaking free from the remaining wood, and charged toward Ezaki Kitazawa for a direct fight.
*Boom! Boom!*
Ice shards and broken wood flew everywhere, thick smoke filling the air.
Meanwhile, in the monitoring room...
The corridor where Ezaki Kitazawa was fighting was pitch black, making it impossible to see anything clearly.
"He's so strong! No wonder he got into U.A. as the top recommended student," Kaminari Denki exclaimed, staring at the dark screen.
"Two against one, and he's not even at a disadvantage. That's insane! And he has two Quirks!"
"Of course! How else would he be the top recommended student? You need serious skills to earn that spot."
"Even Bakugo can't beat him!" Midoriya Izuku said grimly.
Jiro Kyoka, standing nearby, was equally stunned. Not long ago, Ezaki Kitazawa had been mocked as useless...
But now, he possessed such incredible power.
"Ezaki... what happened to you?" Jiro Kyoka whispered softly.
In front of the surveillance monitors, All Might was also quite surprised.
"A symbol of peace? Aizawa was right. Ezaki might really become the second symbol of peace in society."
All Might thought silently, but just then, a voice snapped him back to reality.
"Uh... All Might! The... the building is about to collapse!"
"Seriously? The building's coming down?"
"What's going on? These guys... This is indoors fight, yet they're fighting like they don't care about their surroundings," All Might said with a frown.
Just as he was about to declare the match over, all the monitors in the surveillance room went dark at the same time.
Outside, a loud crash from explosion sound echoed.
The next moment, All Might rushed out, with the other students naturally following behind.
---
The building where Ezaki Kitazawa was located had completely collapsed.
Thick dust filled the air.
Kirishima Eijiro pushed away a slab of concrete and shouted, "What... what are you guys doing? Tearing down the building? Good thing it was me under there—what if it had been someone else?"
Just as he finished speaking, a ball of fire came rushing toward him.
Kirishima quickly dropped to the ground, then got back up moments later.
He felt hopeless now.
This was insane—was this supposed to be indoor combat training?
This was more like a dead fight.
