Chapter 3: 3: Quirk Awakening – Aftermath

Chapter 3: Quirk Awakening – Aftermath

The playground had always been a place of chaos, but now it was an even louder battlefield. With Bakugo's quirk having awakened, the once passive child was now a living explosion waiting to happen.

His hands crackled with power, and his blonde hair practically stood on end with the intensity of it all. He was the self-proclaimed king of the playground, and nothing—not even the cool, calm Toji—was going to take that away from him.

"Yeah, I'm the best! Look at this, you bunch of weaklings!" Bakugo shouted, blasting a small hole in the sandbox with a well-timed explosion. The other kids, wide-eyed, backed off in fear.

With time bakugo instilled fear in everyone except toji. He even built a gang to bully others and show off but his main victim was izuku the quirkless.

Not only bakugo he was shunned by everyone.

Toji watched from a distance, his arms crossed and his usual calm expression not changing even a little. . To others, it seemed like he didn't have a quirk at all, as his abilities weren't triggered by any flashy displays.

So everyone thought he got a weak quirk.

Bakugo noticed Toji's disinterest and felt a surge of frustration. "Oi, Toji! Why don't you get off your lazy ass and try something? You think you're too good for all this?" Bakugo's voice boomed across the playground.

Toji didn't even look up. "You're wasting energy, Bakugo. All that power, and yet you're still so… loud," he said, his voice calm and measured.

"Loud?!" Bakugo's eyes practically bulged out of his head. "I'm not loud! I'm powerful!"

"Right," Toji muttered, as though it was just a fact of the universe. "Power doesn't make someone strong. Strength is something deeper as for you it just made you more dumb."

The words fell flat to Bakugo, but the challenge they presented only fueled his ego. His quirk surged with power, and with a growl, he charged at Toji, ready to show him what "real power" looked like. "Alright, Toji! Time to show you who's really the king around here!"

Toji barely moved as Bakugo barreled toward him, explosions crackling in the air. The other kids, including Izuku, stood by, nervous but unable to look away from the impending confrontation.

"I don't want to fight you, Bakugo," Toji said in a bored tone, watching the explosion with mild indifference.

But Bakugo wasn't having it. With a roar, he unleashed a massive explosion, sending a shockwave toward Toji. "What was that? Huh? What's the matter, Toji? Scared?"

Toji blinked once, then sighed. "You're really going to waste all that energy just to prove a point?" Without even getting up, Toji extended a single hand, casually disappiating Bakugo's explosion with a flick of his fingers. The blast dissipated into harmless sparks, and Bakugo's eyes went wide.

Toji within a year had already passed 2 trials . He surpassed himself 2 times. As a beginner it was really hell to practice and keep up while avoiding distractions still he continued which already made him more powerful than most of the normal adults.

"What the hell?!" Bakugo yelled, charging again, this time more furious than ever. He swung a punch, but Toji simply sidestepped, moving with the smoothness of someone who wasn't interested in the fight, yet still so effortlessly superior.

Bakugo kept attacking, explosions going off in all directions, but Toji didn't even break a sweat. In fact, he wasn't even trying to dodge anymore. He just kept calmly stepping aside, like a cat avoiding a hyperactive puppy.

Finally, Bakugo's frustration boiled over. "I'LL SHOW YOU!!" With a final, all-out explosion, he aimed for Toji's face, intending to end the fight in one blow.

But Toji didn't flinch. He simply placed his hand on Bakugo's wrist and—snip—like cutting a string, he disarmed Bakugo, his tiny hand effortlessly grabbing Bakugo's wrist and twisting it, sending the explosive child tumbling to the ground.

Bakugo lay there, flat on his back, staring up at the sky in shock. The fight was over. Toji hadn't even broken a sweat. There wasn't even a moment where it looked like he might lose. The air was thick with silence, broken only by the quiet gasp of the other children.

Toji looked down at Bakugo, who was now covered in dirt and trying to catch his breath, his pride shattered. "You need to learn control, Bakugo," Toji said, his voice still calm as ever. "Your power doesn't mean anything if you can't use it wisely."

Bakugo, too stunned to respond, just gritted his teeth. His ego had been deflated, his explosive energy extinguished by a single, effortless move. For the first time, Bakugo felt… small, powerless. Tears Welles up in eyes which toji didn't even care. Even the care takers was alarmed seeing bakugo crying.

Later that day, after the chaos had subsided and Bakugo had been left alone to sulk in a corner, Toji found himself sitting on the steps of the playground, his book, used by upperclassmens open in front of him once more. He wasn't trying to be a mentor. He wasn't trying to be anything. He just didn't want to play with the kids.

But it seemed that his lack of engagement had only made him seem even more unapproachable. It wasn't that Toji had changed; it was that he'd grown, even at his young age, and no longer found the childish games and tantrums worth his time.

It wasn't about playing; it was about existing. And that was a concept the other kids weren't ready to understand yet.

Bakugo, once again sulking, shot a glare toward Toji, but there was a lingering fear there now. A recognition that Toji wasn't just some weakling to be bullied. He was something else. Something… different someone powerful.

Izuku, who had witnessed the entire ordeal, came up to Toji hesitantly. "You were amazing back there, Toji. How did you do that?"

Toji didn't even look up. "I didn't do anything. I just... didn't want to waste energy."

Izuku nodded, trying to process it all. "But... you didn't even break a sweat! How do you stay so calm and powerful?"

Toji closed his book slowly and stood up, brushing off his clothes. "Because being calm isn't a choice for me. It's just who I am.As for strength it isn't defines by quirks"

And so, the dynamics of the playground shifted. Bakugo had learned something that day—not about power, but about control. And Toji, despite his disinterest in the petty games of children, had taught him a lesson in the most anticlimactic, yet utterly effective way possible.

It wasn't about being the loudest or the most explosive. Sometimes, the calmest person in the room held the true power.

For Toji, it was just another day of not caring. But for Bakugo… it was a moment of self-reflection that would stick with him for a long time.

But what he didn't noticed was, he had changed.

The 10 trials were harder than the preceding one and toji with his four year old body now five, passed 2 trials and don't forget even with old life memories he was still a unmatured kid.

So everything began to affect his negatively which will extend for sometime. But if it continues, his role will change to VILLAIN!!!!!
