Marvel : Strongest Siblings

Chapter 93: Marvel 93

"And you know what exactly is that Cube?" Fury asked, his voice sharp, as everyone turned to Max.

"I know what it is," Max replied confidently. "It's an Infinity Stone—specifically, the Space Stone."

Thor, hearing this, immediately stood up, his expression one of disbelief. "An Infinity Stone? On Midgard? That's impossible!" he exclaimed.

Fury frowned, the name alone giving him a sense of unease. "What's an Infinity Stone?" he asked, noticing Thor's reaction. Something about this didn't sit right with him—it felt like the kind of revelation that would change everything.

Thor turned to Fury, his voice serious. "The Infinity Stones are said to be sources of unimaginable power. There are six known stones: Soul, Space, Reality, Time, Power, and Mind. It is said that whoever possesses one can achieve power rivaling the might of cosmic entities."

Fury glanced at Max. "And you're telling me this Space Stone was supposed to be in Asgard? Does that mean you know if there are other Infinity Stones on Earth?" he asked, his tone both skeptical and demanding.

Max nodded, his expression unreadable. "There is another Infinity Stone on Earth, under the protection of the Ancient One. She is its guardian."

Fury's brows furrowed. "The Ancient One? And where exactly can I find her?"

Max chuckled, shaking his head. "Planning to ask her for the Infinity Stone? Good luck with that. She's the guardian of the Time Stone, capable of seeing the past, present, and future as if reading a book. You'll never outmaneuver her."

Fury's lips pressed into a thin line. "Guardian or not, if she's supposed to protect this planet, she hasn't been doing a great job. Loki showed up, and the Tesseract was stolen right under our noses."

Max raised an eyebrow and just smiled at them. "let me show you just what is she protecting us from", he extended his hand, summoning them out of earth, standing in space they saw a mystical barrier that shimmered like a veil over the Earth. Outside the barrier, shadowy, ghost-like figures could be seen trying to breach it, their forms menacing and otherworldly.

"That barrier is the Ancient One's work," Max explained. "Still think she isn't protecting Earth?"

Tony squinted at the sight. "What are those things? Ghosts?"

"Not ghosts," Max replied, shaking his head. "Worse. Demons from the Demon Realm, constantly trying to invade Earth. And the only one standing in their way is the Ancient One."

"then there is this guy, who like to devour plantes" He added pointing at another dark Cloud like mass, and inside it a big face could be seen eyeing the Earth.

"is that Demon king?" Bruce said this time.

"No, it's Dormammu, a Mage like me only he is Evil and is ruler o dark Dimension" Max said as everyone juts looked at the Demons and then at Dormammu.

With a flick of his hand, Max dismissed the vision, and the shimmering barrier faded from view. The group stood in stunned silence, the weight of what they had just learned settling heavily in the air.

"There's a reason she was chosen as the Guardian," Max said, his tone firm. "So was Asgard, but you guys failed. Hence, I'm taking over now."

Thor stepped forward, his pride wounded. "We Asgardians could guard it much better than this Ancient One," he said with conviction.

Max chuckled, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "Oh, really? Then go ask your father, the great conqueror Odin, why he never dared to set foot on Earth again after the Ancient One kicked his ass when he tried to invade Earth in ancient times."

Thor's face darkened, his jaw tightening. "My father is no tyrant! He is a just king who only sought to bring order!" Thor defended, his voice filled with both anger and confusion.

"Yes, yes," Max said mockingly, rolling his eyes. "Keep telling yourself that." He paused, scratching his chin thoughtfully, resisting the urge to drop an even bigger truth bomb. Should I mention his eldest sister? No, no… enough secrets spilled for one day, he mused to himself, shaking his head.

Thor's fiery glare burned into Max, but he held back, sensing there was more to what Max wasn't saying.

Even as Max turned to leave, the tension in the air was palpable. Every word had left an impact, and the unspoken truth lingered in the room like a shadow.

"Why does it feel like he knows more than he's letting on?" Tony muttered under his breath, earning a silent nod from Bruce, who was observing Max's every move with a calm but calculating gaze.

"Just who are you, to know all these secrets?" Fury blurted out, voicing the question that was on everyone's mind.

Max glanced at him, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Knowledge is power," he replied cryptically. "And I like to stay… informed." His tone carried an air of nonchalance, yet his words sent a chill through the room. Everyone, from Natasha to Thor, was watching him closely now.

Fury took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as if trying to steady his nerves. After a long pause, he finally spoke. "Just find the Cube and take it. I don't think I need it anymore after hearing all this."

Max blinked, momentarily surprised by the unexpected capitulation. Even Black Widow, usually composed, shot Fury a stunned look. She couldn't believe he was relinquishing the most dangerous object so easily.

But what she didn't know was that Fury was already shaken to his core. Everything Max had revealed painted a grim picture, one that left Fury with no choice. In his mind, only Max could safeguard humanity and Earth from the threats they now faced. Fury didn't trust the Ancient One—someone he'd never even met—and his only fallback, Captain Marvel, was currently off-world. That left one option: Max.

Fury's gaze hardened as he looked at Max. "Just don't make me regret this," he said, his tone heavy with both hope and warning.

Max smirked faintly. "Relax, Fury. If I wanted the Earth destroyed, we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"I am too lazy to be an World Dominator" He added.
