Marvel Brodcast : Spoiling Spider-man

Chapter 37: Chapter 37 My Back

[At this time, the sudden arrival of the landlord's daughter, Ursula, interrupted Peter's thoughts. He turned his head to look at her as she stood hesitantly at the door. She hurriedly apologized, "I shouldn't have come in without knocking." Then, blushing slightly, she turned and closed the door. A moment later, a knock came. Peter smiled faintly and called out, "Come in!"]

[Ursula opened the door cautiously and stepped inside. "Hi," Peter greeted her warmly. Ursula, a bit nervous, smiled back and said, "Would you like a piece of chocolate cake?"]

[Peter's smile widened as he nodded. "That would be great," he replied. Ursula's face lit up as she asked, "Another glass of milk to go with it?" Peter chuckled softly. "That would be even better!" he said.]

[Ursula nodded with a bright smile. "Okay," she said as she turned to leave, gently closing the door behind her. Moments later, she returned with a plate of chocolate cake and a glass of milk.]

[Under Ursula's watchful and tender gaze, Peter ate the chocolate cake, savoring each bite. When he finished, Ursula quickly picked up his empty plate and glass. "Thank you," Peter said warmly, and Ursula beamed with happiness.]

[As she reached the door, Ursula suddenly paused, remembering something. She turned back and handed Peter a note. "Your aunt asked me to give you this," she explained. Peter took the note and thanked her again before unfolding it to read.]

"I guarantee that this girl absolutely likes Peter!" Tony immediately raised his hand and announced loudly.

Rhodes rolled his eyes. "Anyone who is not blind or stupid knows that this girl likes Peter."

[Meanwhile, Peter arrived at Aunt May's house to find her packing up her belongings. Confused, he asked, "What's going on?"]

[Aunt May didn't look up as she continued working. "Oh, they gave me a few weeks, but I decided to move sooner rather than later. I found a small apartment," she said nonchalantly.]

[Peter stepped closer, his concern evident. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked.]

[Aunt May waved her hand dismissively. "I can handle it myself! Henry Jackson, the boy across the street, came over to help me. I gave him five dollars for his trouble," she replied with a smile.]

[Peter glanced at a small boy nearby and asked, "Is that Henry Jackson?" Aunt May chuckled. "Yes! It's funny how much can change in two years. He's only nine, but he already has big ambitions!" she said fondly.]

[Peter hesitated, wanting to revisit their previous conversation, but Aunt May cut him off. "It's okay, Peter. There's no need to bring it up again. It's all in the past," she said reassuringly.]

Aunt May looked at Peter with relief, walked up to him and said, "But you took the brave step of telling the truth. I'm proud of you! Thank you! I... I love you, Peter! I love you very much!" Aunt May hugged Peter. ]

[Aunt May stepped closer to Peter, her expression softening. "But I'm proud of you for taking the brave step to tell the truth. Thank you. I love you, Peter. I love you so much!" she said, pulling him into a heartfelt hug.]

[After they embraced, Aunt May returned to her packing. Peter looked around and suddenly asked, "Hey, where are my comic books?"]

[Aunt May glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, I gave them away," she said casually. Peter groaned, lowering his head in mock despair. Nearby, Henry piped up, saying he had packed all the pots and pans. He greeted Peter with a cheerful wave.]

[Peter smiled at the boy and remarked, "You've grown a lot taller, haven't you, Henry?" Aunt May nodded in agreement as she directed Henry to group the recipes and kitchen utensils together. The boy eagerly complied.]

[Henry then turned to Peter, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "You used to take pictures of Spider-Man, right?" he asked eagerly.]

[Peter hesitated before answering, "I used to." Aunt May, who had been listening, looked up with interest. Henry pressed on, "Where is he now?"]

[Aunt May chimed in, "Yes, Peter. Henry and I were just saying we haven't seen his picture in the paper for a long time."]

[Peter spread his hands helplessly. "He... quit," he said simply. Henry's face fell. "Why?" he asked, clearly confused.]

["He wants to try something new," Peter replied. The boy's disappointment was palpable as he asked hopefully, "He'll come back, right?"]

[Peter didn't know how to answer. After a brief pause, he said softly, "I don't know." Henry turned away, looking crestfallen as he returned to his task.]

[Aunt May sighed, her tone reflective. "You'll never guess what he wants to be," she said, looking at Peter. "Spider-Man!" Peter raised an eyebrow, puzzled. "Why?" he asked.]

[Aunt May's face lit up with admiration as she explained, "He thinks Spider-Man is a true hero. There aren't many who can climb walls and save old ladies like me."]

[As she continued packing, she added thoughtfully, "Kids like Henry need heroes. Selfless, fearless, and true heroes who inspire them to be better. People will line up for them, cheering their names, and years later, they'll still talk about how those heroes taught them to hold on, even in the hardest moments."]

[She turned to Peter, her gaze steady. "I believe we all have a hero inside of us. Someone who teaches us to be honest, gives us strength, and makes us noble. Spider-Man is that kind of hero for Henry. That's why he wants to know where Spider-Man is. He needs him."]

[Peter nodded slowly, her words resonating deeply. Aunt May then asked him to help move a table into the warehouse, warning him to be careful. Peter agreed, smiling softly as he followed her instructions.]

[The scene shifted to a rooftop. Peter stood alone, gazing out at the city. After a moment of contemplation, he muttered to himself, "Focus on what I want to do."]

[With a deep breath, Peter ran toward the edge of the rooftop. "I'm back! I'm back!" he shouted as he leaped into the air. But his excitement turned to terror as his momentum faltered, and he began to plummet.]

[Peter screamed as he fell, flailing helplessly. Luckily, a string of cables slowed his descent, but he slammed into a wall before tumbling onto a parked car, denting its roof. The impact sent him rolling onto the adjacent car with a loud crash.]

[Groaning, Peter pushed himself up, his face flushed with embarrassment. He clutched his back, wincing in pain. "My back! My back!" he cried out, limping away like a man twice his age.]

"Oh... I thought he'd really made a comeback," Tony said with mock disappointment. Then, unable to help himself, he burst into laughter. "Good thing he didn't die! Imagine if Spider-Man fell to his death between two buildings—it'd be the world's biggest punchline!" Tony chuckled, shaking his head at Peter's misfortune.

"Pete... it hurts just watching him," Harry muttered as he watched Peter's clumsy fall on a screen. Absentmindedly, he rubbed his own back as if sharing in the pain.
