Marvel Brodcast : Spoiling Spider-man

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Becoming Peter Parker Again

[The scene shifted to Doctor Octopus, now secluded in an abandoned house. Using the stolen money, he meticulously assembled equipment for his second experiment. He lit a cigar, holding it between his lips as one of his mechanical arms ignited it for him.]

[Meanwhile, Peter visited the hospital, convinced his problems were physical. But after several tests, the doctor reassured him, "Physically, you're fine. In my opinion, your issue is here." The doctor tapped his temple.]

[Peter reflected silently as the doctor added, "You've mentioned insomnia, grief, and nightmares. It's all connected."

Peter hesitated before speaking. "I had a dream... I was Spider-Man. I lost my abilities, couldn't shoot webs, and kept falling when I climbed walls."

The doctor removed his glasses, his expression thoughtful. "So, you're Spider-Man."

Peter panicked. "No, no! It was a dream! Just a dream," he insisted. Then, attempting to deflect suspicion, he added, "Actually, it wasn't my dream—it was a friend's."

The doctor smirked knowingly. "A friend's dream, huh?" He sat beside Peter, leaning in. "What's your friend like? Why is he climbing walls? How does he see himself?"

Peter sighed. "That's the problem—he doesn't know."

The doctor's tone softened. "If he doesn't know who he is, he'll lose himself completely. That's the worst thing anyone can do."

The words struck a chord in Peter.

"Listen," the doctor continued, "maybe you're not destined to be Spider-Man, swinging across the city. Maybe that's why you keep falling. But ultimately, it's your choice, Peter."

Peter nodded slowly, the weight of the statement sinking in. "I can choose..." he murmured, as the doctor watched him thoughtfully.]

"Ah, that doctor must have known Peter's identity. He realized what Peter Parker's problem was, so he advised Peter to choose his own path."

Several people gathered in front of the bar in Tony's house. Tony clinked his glasses with Rhodes and said.

"Anyone who is not a fool knows that his friend is himself. " Rhodes complained about Peter's poor cover-up.

Tony burst into laughter when he heard this.

[Peter returned home, lying on the bed, thinking about the doctor's words as the storm and thunder roared outside the window.]

[Uncle Ben's words echoed in his heart, and he seemed to dream that Uncle Ben was talking to him again. "Your thoughts, Peter, make me sad."]

["Don't you understand? I'm in love with Mary Jane."]

["Peter, we have always talked about integrity, fairness, and justice. I have always hoped that you can bravely bring these dreams to the world."]

[In the dream, Peter looked at Uncle Ben and said, "I can't live in your dream anymore. I want my own life."]

["God has given you extraordinary talents, Peter. With great power comes great responsibility. Hold my hand, kid!" Ben hoped that Peter would agree to his request, but Peter refused with tears in his eyes.]

["I'm just Peter Parker. I'm no longer... Spider-Man. No longer..." Returning to reality, Peter muttered to himself: "No longer..."]

[On a rainy night with thunder and lightning, Peter came to a familiar alley, looked at the Spider suit in his hand, hesitated for a while, then resolutely threw it into the trash can and turned away. ]

"Alas... he finally chose this path. What about you, Tony?" Rhodes drank another glass of wine and looked at Tony with a little drunkenness.

"Me? I am Iron Man!" Tony was obviously drunk as well. He replied drunkenly, then passed out at the bar. Nick Fury left.

[Peter, who had put aside his identity as Spider-Man, was obviously more relaxed and even walked with a smile on his face, but the sudden fall made him feel a little embarrassed.]

Tony, who had been drunk all night, was woken up by Jarvis, and the screen started playing again. Seeing Peter's failed attempt to be cool, Tony, who was still gargling, almost burst out laughing.

[Peter, who almost fell, took out his glasses and put them on. This time he didn't have to worry about falling. He walked on the road in high spirits.]

[Peter returned to his rental house, tinkering with his old scooter. But in his excitement, he forgot to secure a wheel. It rolled off the balcony, crashing into a glass window below.

"Idiot!!!" his man shouted from the street. Peter half-knelt in apology, wincing as he rubbed the back of his neck.]

"Hahaha! You're so clumsy, Pete!"

Harry laughed. With the salary from the police, Peter's life is much better now. He doesn't have to go out to work anymore. However, he probably won't be able to be with Harry when school starts.

[Peter bought a hot dog from a roadside stand. As soon as he walked to the side of the road, he saw several police cars whizzing by and several policemen running. Peter turned his head to look in the direction of the pursuit. Thinking that he was no longer Spider-Man, he took a big bite of the hot dog and turned around. ]

[Peter was able to attend Connors's classes on time, listened carefully and took notes, and when Connors asked questions, he raised his hand to answer them.]

[After class, Connors told Peter that he was very satisfied with his performance today and encouraged him to keep up the good work. Peter smiled after being encouraged, and it was obvious that he was happy from the bottom of his heart.]

[At night, in the theater, Peter arrived at Mary Jane's stage play for the first time as scheduled. Mary Jane was speaking her lines on the stage when she suddenly saw Peter sitting in her seat. She was stunned for a moment and even forgot her lines for a moment.]

[The director backstage tried desperately to remind her in a low voice, "I'm very happy!" Mary Jane finally came to her senses and took over the actor's lines. The director backstage finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this.]

[And as it happens, the actor's lines are exactly what Peter wanted to say.]

[After the performance, Peter and Mary Jane walked side by side. Peter looked at Mary Jane and said, "You performed very well! This scene was also very good."]

["Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Mary Jane looked at Peter in confusion. Peter explained, "I was afraid you would tell me not to come." Mary Jane turned her head away embarrassedly.]

[Then he turned around and looked at Peter Parker carefully, and was very surprised by Peter's transformation, "You seem to have changed a lot."]

[Peter looked down at himself and said with a smile: "I have polished my shoes, ironed my pants, and done my homework. I am trying to be better." Mary Jane was very happy with Peter's transformation, but it was too late. ]
