Chapter 18: Chapter 18: The Plot That Started Early?
The sound of a furious quarrel echoed through the grand hall of Asgard. Odin, the Allfather, stood towering in front of his son, Thor, his voice thundering like a storm. "I told you that a wise monarch would never provoke war so easily! Five years ago, I thought you were ready, but now I see I was wrong!"
Odin's words were sharp and cutting, each one like a dagger aimed at Thor's heart. "Vanity, greed, cruelty, arrogance, ignorance—you're unworthy of the trust of the other star domains!"
This was perhaps the harshest and most scathing critique Odin had ever given to Thor. But Thor could feel the weight of Odin's words. The reason for Odin's fury wasn't just that Thor had caused trouble—no, it ran much deeper. In his son, Odin saw a reflection of Hela—the destructive force he had unleashed in his own youth. The reckless king who had plunged the Nine Realms into chaos.
In Odin's eyes, Thor had become a younger version of himself—a king of pride, too eager to fight, too sure of his own righteousness. For Odin, this was a painful realization, a confrontation with the errors of his own past. The criticism was less about Thor's actions and more about Odin's guilt for the path he had once chosen. Odin's rule had been marked by conquest, brutality, and an endless thirst for power. He had crushed millions under his boot, believing it was the only way to maintain order and security. But now, as an old king reflecting on the damage done, he couldn't bear to see his own mistakes mirrored in his son.
"You also told me," Thor shot back, his tone equally sharp, "that a true king must always be ready for war! But now you tell me that I should avoid conflict? The war has already started, and I won't stand by while they provoke us! They started it, and I'm merely responding! If not for your intervention, the war would have been over already!"
Thor's words were firm, his conviction clear. To him, Odin's methods were outdated and hypocritical. Odin's new philosophy, the one he had embraced in his later years, was born from regret—regret for the pain and destruction his own wars had caused. Thor believed that Odin had grown soft, too gentle, too willing to accept the suffering of others in the name of peace. Thor, on the other hand, believed in taking action, in fighting back against those who threatened Asgard, no matter the cost.
To Thor, Odin's stance was like the old European ideals of tolerance and pacifism, which, in his eyes, had only led to chaos. "You've apologized for your past mistakes," Thor continued. "But you cannot expect others to tolerate the same injustices that you once allowed! Your love for those who were wronged back then—it only made things worse!"
Odin's rage peaked. His face darkened, and without a word, he used his magic to strip Thor of his divine power. Thor, stunned but not entirely surprised, was sent to Earth to "learn humility" and "hone his mind."
Thor had known this moment would come, especially after the incidents of the past few days. Frigga and Odin could no longer tolerate Thor's gluttonous behavior. They had even gone so far as to put him on a strict vegetarian diet and banned him from drinking. "You can't lose weight if you keep living like this! Do you really treat yourself like a pig?" Odin had scolded him, his tone scathing.
Thor felt a pang of frustration, but at the same time, he understood. Deep down, he knew he needed to change. He had been consumed by power and indulgence for too long. Yet, there was part of him that still didn't fully understand why Odin was pushing him away in this way.
As Odin prepared to send Thor to Earth, he grabbed Mjolnir and prepared a spell to send the hammer alongside Thor. However, just before casting the spell, Odin hesitated and added a final incantation to ensure Thor's journey would be one of true reflection. The Allfather then fell into a deep sleep, his eyes closing as the magic took hold.

Meanwhile, outside Earth's atmosphere, Carol Danvers had been busy with her own mission. For years, she had been searching for a new home for the Skrulls. The universe was vast, but habitable planets were scarce, and most had already been colonized.
Carol had come to Earth to check on its progress, and to take a much-needed break from her responsibilities. However, her quiet respite was interrupted when she noticed a massive figure falling from the sky at an alarming speed. Reacting instinctively, Carol threw a punch at the incoming object, expecting an alien force or some form of attack. But as the figure hurtled toward her, she realized, with a shock of recognition, that it wasn't a threat at all—it was someone she knew.
Two hundred pounds of Thor—or perhaps more—hurtled past her. The mighty Asgardian god wasn't quite as nimble as he once was. His massive size had caused him to veer off course, and instead of landing in New Mexico as expected, he was now flying across the North Pole at breakneck speed.
As Thor flew over Norway, a magical circle appeared out of nowhere, pulling him through and making him vanish entirely from Carol's view.

Back in Asgard, Heimdall, the guardian of the Bifrost, noticed Thor's disappearance. He immediately went to Odin to report the strange occurrence, but Odin was deep in his magical slumber, unaware of what had transpired. Heimdall couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss, but without Odin's command, he decided not to act.
In Heimdall's eyes, if Thor were truly in danger, Odin would have intervened. For now, he could only wait and hope for the best.

Back on Earth, Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, fell from the sky and landed with a tremendous crash in New Mexico. A crater formed around it, drawing a crowd of curious onlookers. Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. were quick to arrive and secure the site, recognizing the hammer immediately.
Meanwhile, Natasha Romanoff tried to lift Mjolnir, only to find herself unable to do so. "It didn't reject me," she said, puzzled. "But I felt... another force was blocking me. It wasn't like the usual enchantment."
S.H.I.E.L.D. began searching for Thor, but despite their best efforts, there was no trace of him. The hammer, however, remained at the center of attention, a mysterious beacon that would come to define the area in the years to come.
Years later, the crater where Mjolnir had landed became a popular tourist attraction. But the mystery of the hammer—and Thor's whereabouts—remained unsolved. Little did they know, Thor was on a journey of self-discovery, far from the Earth he once called home.
