Chapter 732 - Infernal Mirage
There was one final item left on the table. Broken reached for it, his fingers closing around a small, black-and-purple coin. The surface shimmered faintly, almost like liquid shadows swirling beneath glass.
[Infernal Mirage (Weapon Cosmetic)]
[Effect: Changes the appearance of any weapon to have a shadowy aura with flickering fire embers.
[Skill Modifier: Converts the weapon's active skills to shadow and fire effects.]
A Weapon Cosmetic?
He inspected it carefully. There were no damage-boosting effects or battle-enhancing abilities attached to the item. It was purely cosmetic. But… it came with an interesting twist.
The item would coat any weapon he wielded in an aura of shadow and fire. Not only that, but any skills cast through the weapon would also gain a shadow-fire visual effect. It was subtle, but powerful in its own way — a disguise to conceal his true identity while adding a layer of intimidation.
"Take it," Alora said softly, breaking his train of thought.
Broken turned to her, but he remained silent for a moment.
"This item can mask any weapon you use, right?" she continued. "It'll be perfect for you if you ever want to fight in your Demon Form but still use your regular weapon — like the Abyssal Wavebreaker Spear."
Broken gave a slow nod. "Then… I'm taking two items?"
"Yes," Alora replied with a gentle smile. "Why not? The war won't be won without your contribution. Don't forget, if it weren't for you crafting that device to block the meteor strike, everyone would've been obliterated."
Broken's eyes softened as he recalled that moment.
The meteor fall had been catastrophic, one that should have annihilated everything in its path. Yet, thanks to the device he'd crafted — with help from RememberMe, PussyCat, and Frostedge, who had contributed massive amounts of Soul Stones to its creation — they had managed to survive the unthinkable.
"That's why you deserve this," Alora said. "You're the one holding everything together."
"Alright," he said with a small grin. "I'll take it."
Broken equipped the item. He stood up straight and summoned the Mythic-grade Abyssal Wavebreaker Spear into his hand.
The moment the spear materialized, its usual oceanic glow shifted. The weapon's aura transformed into a mesmerizing blend of swirling shadows and blazing fire, crackling along the spear's length. The same dark, fiery aura spread across his body.
He spun the spear effortlessly, watching the fiery trail it left in the air, flames dancing and flickering with each movement. Shadows intertwined with the blaze, creating a mesmerizing contrast between darkness and light.
For a brief second, Broken entertained the idea of casting a skill to see the full effect. His mind raced with possibilities — what would his attacks look like with this enhancement? But he stopped himself. There was no need to unleash anything serious now.
Instead, he turned to Alora with a small, satisfied smile. Without a word, he dismissed the spear, sending it back into his inventory.
"I really like it," Broken said.
Alora smiled softly. "Yes, I can see that from your eyes," she replied. "That look… the gaze of someone hungry for war."
Broken chuckled, shaking his head. "Why do you sound just like Lily?"
"Lily?" Alora tilted her head.
"Lily is Bloom," Broken explained.
"Do all players have different identities out there, Broken? Different names beyond this world?"
Broken gave a small nod. "Yes. My name outside is Leon."
"Leon…" Alora repeated, as if tasting the name on her tongue. "That's a cute name. It makes me wonder why you chose the name Broken for yourself in this world."
Broken fell silent for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uhm… I don't really remember why," he admitted with a sheepish laugh. "I guess I just thought it sounded cool at the time."
Alora chuckled softly. "And now, you've even earned the title 'The Broken Player' from your guild members, haven't you?"
"Yeah… guess the name stuck, huh?"
[Name: Broken]
[Level: 153]
[Class: Unique - Super Novice | Unique - Royal Blacksmith | Unique - Rift Digger | Unique - Elemental Forger]
[Health: 4230 | Mana: 8028]
[Strength: 1015 | Agility: 384 | Intelligence: 669 | Constitution: 623 | Stamina: 465]
[Charisma: 105 | Luck: 62 | Dexterity: 50 | Survival: 30 | Perception: 20]
[Available Stat Points: 30]
[Weight: 540/6090]
Broken opened his status menu, carefully reviewing his updated stats while only wearing the accessories. No armor, no weapons — just the passive boosts provided by the items he had equipped.
It was a good way to see his raw stats without any extra enhancements. And immediately, a few things stood out.
And yes… it was obvious. His Agility was the most lacking stat by far.
I really need to start spending more points on Agility.
Without further hesitation, he allocated 30 stat points into Agility.
While it wasn't his weakest area in combat, he knew that a higher Agility stat would allow him to move faster, dodge attacks more effectively, and strike with greater speed. It wasn't something he could keep ignoring.
And more importantly—it would boost his damage when using a bow.
Next, Stamina. It was lagging behind as well, but that didn't worry him too much. His armor provided a solid Stamina boost when equipped, so he wasn't too concerned about running out of endurance during battles.
Charisma: 105.
Isn't 105 in Charisma really high?
He couldn't help but wonder how that would affect his interactions with NPCs. Would they be more willing to share information? Offer better deals? Maybe even unlock hidden quests?
Broken then took a moment to review some of his skills that had leveled up after the recent battle.

[Quake Strike (Active Skill) Lv. 6]
[Miner's Fortitude (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 5]
[Summon Elemental Golem (Conditional Active Skill) Lv. 2]
[Elemental Command Slots (Utility Skill) Lv. 2]
Most of the upgraded skills came from his Super Novice class. In particular, two of his signature bow-related abilities stood out: Sniper's Focus and Explosive Arrow. These were the core of his long-range arsenal, and seeing them power up was a welcome boost.
But what surprised him the most was that two of his golem-related skills had also leveled up—Summon Golem and Elemental Command Slots.
This meant only one thing: Broken could now command more golems at once. He was no longer limited to controlling just two at a time!
With these upgrades, he would be able to summon and manage more golems moving forward.
He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of satisfaction as his stats adjusted. Then, lifting his gaze toward Alora, he realized there was one more important thing he needed to confirm.
"Do you think an hour will be enough for us to check out the thing I've been searching for all this time?"
"Yes, I believe that's more than enough."
Slowly, Broken exhaled. This was it—the moment he had been waiting for. Soon, he would finally lay eyes on the Sword of Dissidia.
