Legendary Broken Player - VRMMORPG

Chapter 730 - Focalor's Mark Amulet

Broken laid out all the loot he had gathered from defeating Focalor on the table, letting his gaze linger on the pile for a moment.

The sheer amount of items he had acquired during the war was undeniably impressive. However, most of it consisted of Demon Cores and Demon Soul Stones — materials from ordinary demons that didn't hold much immediate value to him.

Still, he decided to keep them. He wasn't sure what he'd use them for yet, but they might come in handy later.

What he had been hoping for, though, was another Soul Stone from Focalor. But clearly, he'd set his expectations too high. Even from a Named Demon, he didn't drop a single Soul Stone. Not even a Demon Core.

His thoughts wandered to Gaia. She had achieved a remarkable power boost just from consuming Gremory's Soul Stone — and Gremory was merely a Named Demon ranked somewhere in the 50s. So what would happen if he got a Soul Stone from a higher-ranked Named Demon?

He couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to give a Soul Stone like that to his contracted beast. Maybe Pawpaw? Or even… Polly?

But when he thought of Polly, he just couldn't picture what would happen if she consumed a Named Demon's Soul Stone.

What would she become? How much would it change her?

At the same time, if he did offer it to Polly, she'd probably take it without a second thought. She wasn't the type to refuse anything Broken asked of her. That was just the way she was — quiet, compliant, willing to go along with anything he said.

Maybe Blaze would be a better choice. Blaze was a Demon Beast, after all. It seemed like a more logical fit. And besides, Broken didn't have the luxury of time to go hunting for another Soul Stone right now.

Broken's attention returned to the items spread across the table. Not all of them fit there, though. One particularly large shield was propped up against the leg of the table, too bulky to lay flat with the rest.

He had managed to land the last hit on the demon, which meant that every item dropped by the Named Demon had gone straight to his inventory.

That was just how the rules worked. In the game's mechanics, no matter how many people were involved in the fight, the one who delivered the final blow was the one who claimed the loot.

After that, there was an unspoken priority system. The items were meant to be distributed among the party members based on their needs and how well the gear suited them. In this case, Broken had been in a party with SexyGrill and SexyBloom during that final battle.

Naturally, he set aside at least two items that would be useful for them.

Beyond that, Broken could also choose to share items with members of other parties who had made significant contributions during the fight. But that wasn't a requirement — more of a gesture of goodwill if there were enough items to go around.

Thinking back to the final phase of the battle, he acknowledged that several people had played key roles. Frostedge, Galactron, and Zeno, for example, had helped hold Focalor and buy precious time while the group worked to take down the other Named Demons.

Still, when it came down to the final moments of the fight, it was Broken, SexyGrill, and SexyBloom who had given him support by the Lust Blessing. And they hadn't done it alone. Alora and Ivana had also made major contributions — Ivana with her Half-Dragon form and Alora with her Golden Paragon.

Broken glanced at the items on the table once more. There were six in total.

His plan was to distribute them among SexyGrill, SexyBloom, Alora, and Ivana. But before deciding who got what, he needed to carefully evaluate which items best matched each of them.

"I don't mind if I don't get anything from this, Broken," Alora said softly as she sat beside him.

Broken turned to her and smiled. "I'll be leaving you in the kingdom often. I need to make sure you're well-protected when I'm away."

"If you feel burdened by the need to protect me, you won't be free to carry out your missions out there."

"This isn't a burden," he replied. "It's something I want to do. And I'm doing it willingly. I'll give you the best I can."

"You do know that Lionell is here, right? He's already been promoted to Imperial Knight."

"I know. But I want to give you more guaranteed protection."

"Broken, I have more than enough protection here."

"Alora—"

"Broken, my king. My husband."

They both fell into silence, their smiles turned into soft chuckles as they leaned in closer. Their foreheads touched gently, the warmth of the moment lingering between them.

Broken couldn't help but keep laughing quietly, realizing that even now — even after they had become husband and wife — nothing had changed. They were still just as stubborn as ever.

It was no different from the moments they had shared in the past, when their clashes of will had somehow always brought them closer together.

"Stubborn," Broken said, shaking his head with a chuckle.

"That's what a wife does when she wants to give her husband the best support."

"Good reason."

"It's not a reason. It's pure from my heart."

"Even so, I'm still giving you one item that suits you best."

Their laughter returned, softer this time, lingering in the quiet moment between them.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure."

"Well… I suppose I can't refuse anymore. I have to respect your decision."

"It would've been easier if you'd just accepted it earlier, you know."

Alora let out another soft laugh, her gaze warm. "I know. But where would the fun be in that?"

After making sure Alora was willing to accept at least one item, Broken carefully sifted through the loot. His fingers lingered over each piece until he found one that felt just right — something he knew would be a perfect fit for her.
