JoJo's bizarre adventure: Phantom legacy

Chapter 1: Getting stabbed by a weird amulet

"As you can see, probability is not based on randomness alone, though it is an integral part. Theoretical analysis, empirical evidence, and subjective judgment are cru..." The teacher stopped writing on the whiteboard and turned around to look at the learners.

Some were paying attention, others were eating, and some were talking, but the one who stood out the most was sleeping without a care in the world.

The teacher, Mr. Miyagi, simply sighed, picked up a small eraser from his desk, and threw it at the sleeping student.

The student slowly began to wake up and said, "Huh? "

"Ethan KUROSAWA!!! School is a place for studying not sleeping, if you don't respect the place of learning at least respect its history and principles" Mr Miyagi Roared as he pointed his fingers at Ethan but inwardly he could only sigh in defeat.

Ethan was not an underachiever or a troublemaker who disrupted the teaching process.

Although he didn't get straight A's or become a top student with the highest marks, he actually did well academically, despite not coming to class sometimes and not putting effort into coming to school.

He got B minuses, and it was then that Mr. Miyagi and the other teachers understood… he didn't really care. He was putting in minimum effort just to stay at school.

The Starlight Academy is a prestigious school meant for the 'gifted', wealthy, and connected.

For someone like Ethan, who was an orphan with an inheritance, getting these grades was a must for him to continue receiving a portion of his inheritance on the surface.

But truthfully, it was his way of passing time while finding himself in the process.

Ethan silently looked at Mr. Miyagi and said, "Man, it's a Friday. Why are you being... well, you? It's not that big of a deal. I caught up with the study material and submitted all my assignments. It's not like you can send me to the headmaster's office for small matters like this."

"Ohhhhhhhhh!!!!"

Gasps echoed throughout the entire class as many of the students tried to add flames to the tension.

Brrriinnng! Brrriinnng!!

The bell rang indicating the end of the class however this disappointed many of the students who enjoyed the small fight.

Ethan simply packed his books, stood up, and approached the door. In the process, he accidentally knocked over the desk of the person sitting the closest to him, sending a few books tumbling to the floor with a loud thud.

"My bad, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention," Ethan quickly added as he kneeled down and began to pick up the books.

But for a brief moment, his gaze lingered on the person. He simply stared at her in shock.

She had blonde hair with a slight shade of azure, and green eyes that seemed to gleam with an unusual intensity.

But what stood out the most wasn't her beauty, it was the exposed star-shaped tattoo near the nape of her neck, partially visible beneath her collar.

Ethan released an awkward cough, feeling a little flustered as he continued to gather the books. He handed them to her, but then he noticed something else on the floor... an amulet.

He noticed it was a pendant, to be precise, a golden-shaped beetle that had a top spike and a small thorn-like structure sticking out of it.

"Don't worry about it I'll pick it up mys.."

"Don't be modest, I am the one who dropped it so I'll pick it up" Said Ethan as he quickly cut her off, people were already leaving and he didn't want to waste her time.

He slowly approached the amulet and picked it up and as he gave it to her his hand got stabbed by mistake but he didn't mind it.

Ethan looked at her with a smile and said:

"Here you go, I saved time for..."

Budump!!!!

He felt his heart begin to race at a rapid pace, but what was even weirder was that he felt something else course through his body, and out of instinct, he looked at his stabbed hand and noticed that not only was it bleeding but his veins were also bulging in a... bizarre manner.

"Is he okay"

"Could it be that he's so much in love that he can't react properly"

Some of his classmates who were left behind laughed as they noticed Ethan stuck In a stationary position however things were different from his perspective.

Ethan could see the world around him spiraling and collapsing within itself until he lost his vision and passed out, shocking those around him.

"AARHHH!!! IS THAT GUY DEAD CALL THE AMBULANCE"

"TAKE HIM TO THE INFIRMARY"

.....

Beep beep beep beep!

'where am I... what happened'

Ethan slowly opened his eyes, feeling a dull heaviness in his head.

He found himself in a small room filled with hospital equipment, and he quickly realized it was the school infirmary. Turning his head, he saw a girl watching him intently.

"What are you doing here... what happened?" Ethan murmured, trying to piece together what had happened as he fully regained consciousness.

The girl glanced at him for a brief moment before answering. "My name is Rosalina Giovanna. You passed out after picking up my amulet, but before I go into detail, can you see this?"

Without another word, a hand emerged from Rosalina's back, floating in midair and waving at Ethan.

His confused gaze locked onto it, and Rosalina took his reaction as confirmation. He could see stands now.

Ethan stared at the floating hand, not with fear but with confusion. "A floating hand... Am I still hallucinating? Is this a sign of me having cancer?"

"You're still confused. Listen carefully to what I'm about to say," Rosalina said, stepping closer to Ethan. Her intense gaze locked onto his, her tone calm yet firm.

"Stands can manifest in limited ways, but the most common are being born with one or obtaining it through the Stand Arrow.

The latter, however, carries a high risk—most people don't survive because of the virus it carries.

But those with the necessary spiritual strength and willpower can survive and awaken a Stand.

You, after being pierced by a fragment of the arrow, are now a Stand user. Can you bring out your Stand?" Her voice held a mixture of curiosity and expectation as she studied him closely.

Ethan slowly shook his head, his confusion still evident. He had heard every word she said, but none of it felt real.

'Am I under anesthesia? Or is she high?' The thought lingered in his mind, but he chose not to voice it.

Instead, he remained silent, trying to make sense of the bizarre situation.

"Man, I've given you the basics and an idea of what's happened to you, so I'll leave you with three rules. They might save your life," Rosalina said, crossing her arms before continuing.

"First, to manifest your Stand, you need to feel the urge to protect yourself or the need to kick someone's ass.

Second, non-Stand users can't see Stands, but they can see the effects they cause.

Lastly, Stand users are naturally drawn to one another. A fight is inevitable when that happens, and remember this: damage to your Stand is damage to you. So, if you meet a Stand user who's out to kill you, don't hesitate to kill them first."

With that, Rosalina stood up and walked out of the room, leaving Ethan alone with his thoughts.

"She's an ass I mean who speaks that kind of gibberish without proper explanation and leave

The nurses should've checked on me by now… I guess she dealt with them," Ethan murmured, letting out a sigh.

His eyes wandered to his school bag sitting nearby. It was a clear sign his driver had been called, and it was time for him to go home.
