In Naruto Trying to become a Saiyan from Kumogakure

Chapter 11: Ch 11. Daimyo's Coming x Ninja Rank x Technolgy

Kumogakure bustled with energy as preparations unfolded for a significant day. Near the village gates, the Third Raikage stood with his entourage, awaiting the arrival of Dodai's team. The group, led by the Raikage's trusted assistant, was tasked with safely escorting the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning to the village.

Dodai, a skilled ninja and master of Rubber Release a kekkei genkai combining Earth and Fire natures, giving the user, the ability to create structures with the ability to to defend against blunt force and even most kunai and shuriken, and had great restrictive power which was pivotal in ensuring the Daimyo's safe journey.

Despite the Daimyo having personal ninja guards, Dodoi was there not only as a guard but as a representative of Kumogakure, who often visited the capital on business. The Daimyo was an influential figure whose leadership helped sustain the Land of Lightning's stability and prosperity, so communication was very important.

Although no one would try to assassinate the Daimyo, having an extra Elite-Jonin to lead was better than most other Guards. A ninja with Elite to their title, represents, not only an experienced ninja of that category, but it also represents the top few of this class, that surpasses others in strength and experience.

Special was something added to ninja Ranks up to Jonin, awarded to ninjas of lower rank with certain skills or abilities in a higher rank, without privileges and ability of the higher rank usually, such as Special Jonin the most recognized one, as most ninjas can have the strength of Chunin, and can receive the rank as long as they have certain qualities necessary for being a Chunin such as leadership.

Special-Jonin are those ninjas who might have Jonin-level capabilities in terms of ninjutsu or taijutsu or genjutsu or some other skills that reach Jonin level. Some ninjas might have other capabilities aside from combat such as healing, interrogation, tracking, and sealing, and other abilities are also awarded this title.

Jonins are usually ninjas who have mastered multiple types of ninjutsu of different attributes, mastering meaning they can transform chakra to a certain type without ninjutsu seals. Of course, taijutsu is a skill required for all jonins, and some people with extraordinary ability in one field are also awarded this title.

Elite Jonins are ninjas with immense strength and experience far exceeding a normal Jonin, most of the time other villages will reward these people with high bounties in the Black Market or have some titles, some of them being as strong as kage/shadow level, which is not an official rank, as most ninja village will have less than 5 such people, except maybe Konoha.

As Dodai's team arrived, the Third Raikage greeted the Daimyo with formality and mutual respect, acknowledging the importance of his presence. Together, they made their way into the village, accompanied by other key leaders, heading first to the Raikage Building to have a preliminary discussion for the action against the Uzumaki clan, concerning the growing threat posed by the Uzumaki Clan as seen by the last 2 world wars.

Following the meeting, the Third Raikage invited the Daimyo and his entourage to join him in a more personal celebration.

"To begin with I have come for my nephew Ron's first birthday." The Daimyo replied.

"I have heard about him from, Dodoi and my sister's letters, I heard he is a genius who has taught himself how to read, and even talks and walks like an adult."

In response, Rakahe pondered and replied with a smile, "To be honest from what I have seen, at this age, he has almost read all the books in the house, except for the ones related to ninjutsu. He wanted to meet you the Daimyo, and seems to be excited for the Land of Lightning and Kumogakure's investment in technology, and he has his views, believing that we the Land of Lightning can prosper without deaths and wars!!"

"Ohh can't wait to hear from him after the celebration!!" The Daimyo responded.

At Raiya's home, the atmosphere was festive and filled with joy. Decorations adorned the modest residence, and the laughter of family and friends echoed throughout the compound. The guests were introduced to Ron, who had quickly become the heart of the celebration.

At just a year old, his precociousness amazed the guests, as if looking at a young man with steady steps, looking at his body some might think he is at least 3-4 years old, although the Rikage line has a better physique and as ninjas, they grow faster with sufficient nutrition.

But for Ron, his growth is truly fast and complete, due to an adult soul affecting the body, promoting growth, and body growth promoting the soul also.

The Daimyo, along with Dodai and the other leaders, joined the festivities, enjoying a rare moment of levity and connection. For the Third Raikage, the Daimyo, and other leaders, it was an opportunity to share a part of himself beyond his duties as a leader, strengthening bonds that transcended political and military management. Also an escape from their desk jobs full of papers.

In the manor's grand dining hall, a huge table was set to entertain guests with a feast befitting Kumogakure's prestige. The spread was dominated by meat, featuring beef and lamb raised in the surrounding mountains.

These meats were renowned for their exceptional marbling and earthy flavor, a testament to the region's unique environment. Accompanying the dishes were comfort foods like fries and mashed potatoes, a variety of lentils and beans, and, as expected in the Naruto world, rice and grains the ever-present staple.

The proximity to the Lightning Valley's lakes and ponds made fish an essential part of the diet, supplemented by seafood brought in from the coastal regions of the Land of Lightning. For most common folk, meals often revolved around root vegetables, rice, and grains, with meat reserved for special occasions or when circumstances allowed.

Those living near the coast enjoyed a diet of fish and other seafood. Of course, the sea nor the wild mountains and jungles were as nice and simple as in Ron's previous life, many creatures in this world had sizes and strength beyond ordinary, including the more dangerous ones that possessed chakra.

However, for ninjas, acquiring and transporting food, even exotic varieties, to Kumogakure posed little challenge usually, unlike ordinary people, ensuring that the village's elites could indulge in diverse and abundant meals.

The Land of Lightning was also undergoing a technological revolution, with electricity being a relatively recent invention that originated in Kumogakure from ninja and civilian cooperation, under the support of the Daimyo and the Ninja village. This innovation brought immense wealth to both the nation and the village, fueling progress and modernization.

While electrical advancements such as lightbulbs, radios, refrigerators, and even TVs and others had been developed, their adoption among the general populace remained limited.

Capitals, ninja villages, and some wealthy cities were lit with electricity, but for most people, these inventions were considered luxuries rather than necessities, as the gap between normal people and ninjas demonstrated the way of life and the bent development of technologies in Naruto world.

Refrigerators, however, were gaining slow but steady popularity, hinting at the gradual shift toward modern conveniences in daily life in some of these places.

Even amidst such progress, Kumogakure maintained a delicate balance between tradition and innovation, reflecting the resilience and adaptability of ninjas born for war and ordinary people seeking innovation and their ability to thrive in a challenging yet resource-rich environment.
