Chapter 14: Chapter 13.5: The Proving Grounds
Hello, my dear readers!
First of all, thank you so much for your support! I want to apologize if this chapter feels a bit weird. It's my first time writing a fight scene, and I'm still figuring out how to write something like this. Please bear with me as I try to improve, and I appreciate your patience!
I hope you still enjoy the story, and thank you again for sticking with me!

Ding!
Kael frowned as the familiar sound echoed in his mind.
Kael (thinking): Oh no… what does this dog system want right now?
New Mission: Get acknowledged by the gods of Asgard and its citizens.
Reward: Universal ID card (with all related documents).
Kael: "System, what do you mean? Speak clearly."
System: "Host, many Asgardian gods and citizens do not acknowledge you as worthy of Hela. You must prove that you are more than qualified to marry the Princess of Asgard."
Kael (sighing): "Of course."
I turned to Hela, who was watching me with a knowing expression.
Kael: "Let's go meet your father and mother."
Hela: "Right now?"
Kael: "Yes."
Hela: "You and your weird mind… fine, let's go."
We walked to the grand hall of Asgard, where Odin, Frigga, and my future brothers-in-law, Thor and Loki, sat on their thrones. Odin gave me a long, thoughtful look as I approached.
Odin: "My boy, why do you look conflicted? Did someone say something to you?"
Kael: "No, Your Majesty. But I want to ask something."
Odin: "Say it, my boy."
Kael: "Your Majesty, I know I'm a mortal, and I know how much Hela means to me. I'm thankful for your blessing to be with her. But… I also know that many think I'm not worthy of her. They think I'm not qualified to be her mate. So…"
Before I could finish, Thor stood up, his expression stern.
Thor: "It seems you understand your situation, mortal. Say… do you want to prove yourself?"
Odin (sighing): "Thor, I've already judged him. He is more than worthy."
Thor: "Father, I'm not saying you're wrong. But he is just a mere mortal. He should, at least, defeat me to prove he's worthy of my sister. She is far more powerful than me."
Odin: "You just want to fight."
Thor said nothing, but his stance made it clear he wouldn't back down.
Hela turned to me, her gaze softening.
Hela: "Kael, I know what you want. I won't stop you. It's necessary to show them who you are and why I chose you."
Kael: "Thank you, dear."
Thor: "Let's go to the arena. Let's see what's so special about you."
Round 1: The arena of Asgard was packed. Thousands of citizens gathered, their voices a rising tide of anticipation. Today, a mortal was about to fight the God of Thunder.
Kael stood in the center of the grand arena, his stance relaxed, hands at his sides. The winds whispered across the stone ground, carrying with them the weight of centuries of tradition and battle.
Across from him stood Thor, Mjolnir in hand, his expression unreadable. The sun gleamed off his armor, making him look every bit the warrior prince of legend.
Thor: "Are you sure you want to go through with this, mortal? There's no shame in walking away."
Kael smirked, his eyes glinting with confidence.
Kael: "I didn't come here to walk away. I came to prove myself."
Thor nodded, his grip tightening on Mjolnir.
Thor: "Very well. Let's see what makes you worthy of my sister."
With a roar, Thor launched himself forward, swinging Mjolnir with deadly precision. The hammer blurred through the air, a destructive force aimed directly at Kael's chest.
Kael sidestepped with ease, his movements fluid, and delivered a swift counterpunch to Thor's ribs. The Asgardian god grunted, surprised by the mortal's speed and strength.
Thor: "Impressive. But let's see how you handle this!"
Thor slammed Mjolnir into the ground, sending a shockwave rippling through the arena. Kael leapt into the air, avoiding the impact, and landed gracefully behind Thor.
Kael: "You're fast. But not fast enough."
Thor turned, swinging Mjolnir again, this time with more force. Kael raised his arm, activating his Armament Haki. His forearm turned black, absorbing the brunt of the hammer's strike.
Kael: "Haki. A power that even gods can't overlook."
Thor's eyes narrowed.
Thor: "I see. You're full of surprises."
The two clashed repeatedly, exchanging blows that sent shockwaves across the arena. Thor wielded Mjolnir with expert skill, using its weight and power to his advantage. Kael countered with his Haki-infused strikes, each punch precise and calculated.
Thor: "You're holding back."
Kael grinned.
Kael: "So are you."
The battle intensified. Thor hurled Mjolnir, the hammer spinning through the air with deadly accuracy. Kael dodged it, closing the distance between them in an instant and delivering a powerful roundhouse kick to Thor's chest.
Thor staggered back but caught Mjolnir as it returned to his hand.
Thor: "Let's change that."
With a mighty swing, Thor summoned lightning from the skies. The bolts crackled around him, illuminating the arena with blinding light.
Kael: "Ah, there it is. The God of Thunder."
Thor charged, his hammer crackling with energy. Kael met him head-on, their clash sending a shockwave that shook the very foundations of Asgard.
Kael slid back from the impact, dust swirling around him. He wiped a trickle of blood from his lip, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Kael: "Not bad. But let's kick it up a notch."
Kael took a deep breath, his muscles tensing. He clenched his fist, black Haki covering his entire arm.
Kael: "Serious Punch."
With a roar, Kael unleashed his most powerful punch, aiming directly at Thor. The force of the attack shattered the ground beneath them and sent Thor flying across the arena. Mjolnir was torn from Thor's grasp, clattering to the ground.
Thor lay there, dazed, staring at the hammer lying several feet away. Cracked visible to the naked eyes
Kael: "What are you without your hammer, Thor? A god of thunder, or just a god of hammers?"
Thor's eyes widened to his beloved hammer's condition and Kael's words struck a nerve. He sat up, staring at Mjolnir, doubts creeping into his mind.
Kael: "Without it, you're nothing."
Thor tried to summon his hammer again but kael caught it yes kael a mortal caught it and struck thor with a powerful blow knocking him down
Thor closed his eyes, his mind sinking into a subconscious realm. He found himself standing before his father, Odin.
Odin: "Why do you hesitate, my son?"
Thor: "Father…i lost father he is too powerful he broke mjonir i cant ?"
Odin placed a hand on Thor's shoulder.
Odin: "why do you say you cant thor you are powerful thorYou are not the God of Hammers, Thor. You are the God of Thunder. Your power comes from within, not from a weapon."
Thor's eyes opened, clarity washing over him.
Kael its seems like he having a internal monolog lets see
After a few moments blue thunders started crackling around thor he shot up to the sky
Thor with his blue eyes and cracking thunder around him
Thor i am thor i am the god of thunder
fKael smirked.
Kael: "Now we're talking."
Thor flew into the air, summoning a massive lightning bolt. He hurled it toward Kael, who dodged at the last second, the ground where he stood erupting in flames.
Thor: "Round two."
Kael: "Bring it."
The two warriors clashed again. Thor unleashed lightning from his very being, while Kael countered with precise Haki-infused strikes. The arena trembled under the force of their battle, the skies above roaring in tandem with Thor's fury.
Kael lunged forward, delivering a flurry of punches aimed at Thor's core. But this time, Thor was ready. He sidestepped, grabbed Kael by the arm, and sent a bolt of electricity surging through him.
Kael gritted his teeth, enduring the pain.
Kael: "Not bad… but I'm not done yet!"
Kael pulled away and delivered a devastating punch to Thor's chest. The impact sent Thor crashing to the ground, but he quickly got back up, his energy burning brighter than ever.
Thor: "You've earned my respect, Kael. But this ends now!
They clashed again, this time on equal footing. Thor wielded his newfound power with precision, while Kael used every ounce of his strength and skill to keep up.
The battle raged on, each blow sending shockwaves through the arena. But in the end, Thor's divine power proved too much.
Thor landed a final, devastating strike, sending Kael crashing to the ground. The mortal lay there, breathing heavily, a grin on his face.
Kael: "Damn. You got me."
Thor extended a hand, helping Kael to his feet.
Thor: "You are more than worthy, Kael. More than worthy."
A familiar ding echoed in Kael's mind.
Ding! Mission Complete. All Asgardians Acknowledge You.
Kael: "Finally…"
But before he could celebrate, his vision blurred, and he collapsed into Thor's arms.
Thor carried Kael to Hela, who stood waiting with a fierce glare.
Hela: "That was too much."
Thor: "I… I'm sorry."
Hela: "Just leave."
Thor placed Kael in Hela's arms and stepped back, guilt weighing on him. Hela cradled Kael, whispering softly.
Hela: "You don't have to prove anything to anyone anymore. From tomorrow, you will be mine. And mine alone."
