In Bleach as Gilgamesh

Chapter 96: Chapter 96 - Parallel Worlds!?

Chapter 96 - Parallel Worlds!?

"Do you really not recognize the King?"

Past Yoruichi couldn't help but ask.

Future Yoruichi looked at Gilgamesh with a confused expression, contemplating deeply. After a moment, she shook her head firmly and replied, "I don't know him."

Past Yoruichi wanted to say more, but Gilgamesh interrupted.

Gilgamesh stated, "She indeed doesn't know me. Although she is you from the future, she is not the future you from our world."

These words stunned both Yoruichis and Ichigo.

Not only them, but even Urahara, the Visoreds, Ginjō, and Tsukishima hidden in the shadows were taken aback.

They understood Gilgamesh's words but couldn't grasp their meaning.

Seeing their confusion, Gilgamesh continued, "You can think of it as parallel worlds. We come from a past in a parallel world."

Yes, Gilgamesh had basically confirmed that this world was the main storyline, or the primary world. In this world, without his intervention, everything followed the original storyline. Naturally, this world's Ichigo and Yoruichi wouldn't recognize him.

However, there were still some peculiarities that Gilgamesh needed to clarify.

Before anyone could process this information, Gilgamesh asked, "Ichigo, do you remember Rukia?"

Ichigo, who was still digesting the parallel world information, was startled by Gilgamesh's question. He looked at Gilgamesh in bewilderment, muttering, "Rukia..."

For some reason, the name "Rukia" seemed to trigger something. Fuzzy images began to flash in Ichigo's mind. It felt like he had forgotten something important, yet it also seemed like he hadn't forgotten anything.

This contradiction made Ichigo furrow his brows.

Future Yoruichi didn't feel anything unusual because she truly "didn't know" Rukia and didn't experience any discordance.

Not only her, but Urahara hidden in the shadows also "didn't know" Rukia and remained indifferent to the name.

However, his body instinctively pulled out a notebook from his robe. This notebook recorded some accounts and events. Flipping through it, Urahara saw Rukia's name multiple times.

There were numerous records involving Rukia and also many concerning Ichigo. But he had no memory of any events recorded in the notebook related to Rukia and Ichigo.

This fact made Urahara frown.

Urahara then remembered the news he had just received. Yesterday, a disaster had struck the Soul Society, nearly destroying a third of the Seireitei.

Could these two events be connected?

Future Yoruichi sternly said to Gilgamesh, "Regardless of parallel worlds or not, I am who I am, and my past self is still me. I want to know how you conquered me and why you are my King."

Past Yoruichi glanced at Gilgamesh, seeking his opinion.

Gilgamesh replied, "This isn't the place to talk. Take us to Urahara Shop. I have some matters to discuss with Urahara."

Future Yoruichi was puzzled as to why Gilgamesh needed to see Urahara but felt it was best to let Urahara decide.

Without responding, Future Yoruichi glanced toward a certain direction where Urahara was hiding.

Realizing it was pointless to hide, Urahara used Shunpo to appear before Gilgamesh, smiling, "This indeed isn't a suitable place to talk. I'll take you to Urahara Shop."

Turning to Ichigo, he continued, "Mr. Kurosaki, you should come along as well. I have some things to discuss with you."

Ichigo, despite not recognizing Urahara, felt a strange sense of familiarity.

"That feeling again," he thought.

To resolve this discordance, Ichigo nodded, "Alright."

Ginjō, observing from the shadows, said, "Let's follow them."

Tsukishima, always aligning with Ginjō, had no objections.

The Visoreds hesitated but then Shinji noticed Ginjō and Tsukishima and frowned.

Gritting his teeth, he decided, "Let's follow them."

Given Aizen's relentless pursuit of the Visoreds, they acted cautiously, fearing Aizen's schemes.

The Visoreds didn't fully believe Gilgamesh's story, finding parallel worlds and time travel far-fetched. They suspected it might be Aizen's plot.

Seeing Ginjō and Tsukishima, Shinji feared they might be part of Aizen's plan.

Yoruichi and Urahara were vital allies in defeating Aizen, and the Visoreds couldn't risk them falling into Aizen's trap.

On the way to Urahara Shop, Urahara felt something odd, almost stopping. But Gilgamesh said, "Let them follow. They will become your allies in the future."

Urahara knew Gilgamesh referred not to the Visoreds but to Ginjō and Tsukishima.

Unlike the others, Urahara often gathered information on both the Soul Society and the World of the Living, so he knew of Ginjō.

However, his knowledge of Tsukishima was minimal, knowing only his name.

Urahara recognized Ginjō as the first human acknowledged by the Soul Society's higher-ups as the "first Substitute Shinigami."

But why did Gilgamesh say Ginjō would be his ally in the future?

And what future...
