Is this another guy who's here for me? Come on, I can fight back even strong enemies now. If he attacks, he'll get his ass kicked. In the meantime, I should get on with the business of my organisation and get ready to buy shares in Stark Industries. I remember in the film, they were down 50 or even 60 points. And it's a good idea to take advantage of that. But the stock will only start to collapse in 3-4 days when Stark is at the press conference.

Well, while Antonia's wandering around Afghanistan, I should check out the refurbishment of the plant I bought back from the bankrupt company. It's been moving pretty fast, and we'll have first production in a couple of weeks. Several big contracts have already been signed. In general, at least in this direction everything is going as planned.

And the next day I got down to studying the nearest measurements. The problem with that was that it was easy to get into trouble. In the comics, there were some krakozebras that made it hard to meet them. And the magicians are on the prowl. What if they put me in Azkaban for violating the integrity of inter-world borders or something?

So breaking through space was only one of the problems. The other was defence. Both outside and inside. For this purpose, I had originally built special capabilities into the hardware. In particular, space penetrations should be as invisible as possible.

Now I created a barrier that was supposed to hide what was going on inside and summoned a couple of dozen armed fighters, equipped in suits with a closed cycle of breathing. They were supposed to back me up. At that moment, I looked like a frozen light replicating the figure of a man, started to open the passage. I placed my unmasked copy aside, in the middle of the subordinates. An alibi, so to speak. But I digress. It's time to get started.

I've decided to start by penetrating space not into the far reaches, but into dimensions bordering our own. I thought it would be safer. At the same time, I used a special sensor that could give approximate information about what was happening on the other side. The device collected data for a couple of minutes until it said that no biological signatures were detected within a few kilometres of the exit point. Well, it's time to get started.

Activating the device, I saw a ripple through the space, as if from an object that had fallen into the water. A rift of all shades of purple appeared, looking like a crack in something hard. As soon as it stabilised, I went straight into it, wrapped up in barriers that would keep out bacteria, toxins and other world-travelling delights.

I found myself in a place where there were only stones and nothing else. There was no air either. Except that there was a weak radioactive radiation, which would not be dangerous for an ordinary person. I switched on my full clairvoyance and started scanning the surrounding area. Fortunately or unfortunately, it was just a bare piece of rock. At least at a distance of a couple of dozen kilometres.

On the one hand, it would be possible to settle here, but the mere problem of lacking oxygen was already discouraging. Naturally, with my technology, I could solve this issue, but I'd rather try to find a more suitable dimension.

Walking back out, I told what I had seen to my subordinates, who were eagerly awaiting my return. Not wanting to waste time, I saved the coordinates of this dimension in the device and started looking for a new one.

And this time I was able to detect some humanoid beings with some high-level technologies. I didn't have time to get more information, because they somehow actively ran within the range of the device, apparently having sensed the scanning. I immediately cut it off for good. I didn't want to start a war of worlds. I also kept the address of this dimension just in case.

The next two times were again unsuccessful. In the first case, I spotted life, but only of such a monstrous size that I decided not to test fate and go to this place, only having the power to destroy cities at least. In the second case, the dimension was completely uninhabitable. I could still exist there, but someone weaker could not. Some aggressive biological contagion, which I destroyed by destruction before returning back, and monsters roaming in the distance hinted that there was nothing to do here. There must have been some kind of war here, but with a biology, genetics and all that.

But the fourth dimension, bordering the Earth, was suitable at first and second glance. The atmosphere was breathable. No health hazards were detected. The terrain consisted of high mountains and dense forests. There was also a lake with crystal clear water. From this very ordinary landscape stood out interesting species of animals and plants, similar to those from fantasy. But there was no sign of intelligent life. The dimension itself was not very large, about 45 kilometres from edge to edge. Everything was fine, except that I didn't understand whether it was a man-made space bubble or not. But I couldn't find any evidence of the former, no matter how hard I tried.

So, after some brainstorming, I decided to hole up here. I went out to my subordinates and gave the order to set up. Immediately all kinds of devices, materials and supplies were brought there. Now I had to seal off the entrance to everyone but my men. And that's where the Singularity, which I learnt first. Specifically, the technology of the J Corporation. I've already used the ability to pump out luck, but I haven't used it to block anything that comes into my head. But now it's possible.

Having loaded the vacated assemblers with the creation of devices that will block the dimension from outsiders, I instructed the workers to survey the entire area, in case I missed something. And as soon as the space will be protected, I will start to make robots that will be engaged in the full construction of the base. There was information on how to build them in the knowledge I'd gained.

It ended up taking me a whole day. Finished just as I got word that Stark had been found with Insen. It seemed she'd arranged for the removal of the man's family and the defence of the village where he lived. And now Antonia planned to return triumphantly to New York the next day.

I, on the other hand, having unloaded a bit, decided to rest and work on the spatial rifts in my lab. I also performed masking and defence measures before I started, and then began the manipulations.

In the end, I managed to find a couple more dimensions that could potentially come in handy. But that wasn't the most interesting part. Towards the end, somewhat daringly, I ventured somewhere into the unknown reaches of space and time. Luckily no Ktul... No, it's better not to say that name even in my mind. In general, I didn't find any YOOH on my heels, but I was able to get in touch with a dimension full of some strange type of energy. It was almost unreal. I guess you could call it imaginary or imaginary energy.

Its characteristics were quite interesting. Perhaps, in the future, I will be able to do something with this energy, but for now I made all the necessary checks and took a small amount for experiments. But only after moving into real space and coming into contact with me, the sample very quickly turned into a cube, silver in colour, completely covered with veins of different sizes. I didn't understand anything, but it was very interesting. Just in case, I placed the cube in a hastily created sarcophagus that would not let any radiation through and put it away for the time being. Definitely should deal with this energy and measurement more densely in the future.

The next day, Stark flew in, causing an unprecedented stir. A press conference was immediately assembled where she was headed. Whoa, what's going to happen! Antonia Stark is refusing to sell weapons! You'll have to see it in person.

I went from our family. I entered the room where the meeting was being held just as everyone was sitting on the floor and the woman leaning against the podium finishing her burger. Yeah, she didn't look as dirty now as she had a few days ago. She had a couple of wounds on her face and a bandaged arm, but that could be fixed.

- ... I've seen American soldiers killed with my weapons, which were designed to serve them," she said as I sat down next to Colson. Nodding to each other, we listened to Antonia. - And I realised that I had become an appendage to a system that thrived in its irresponsibility.

- Miss Stark! - came a few cheers from the audience, but the loudest was one man.

- 'Hello Ben,' said the woman.

- What happened to you in there?

- I'm--I've had an epiphany! - Antonia exclaimed, rising to her feet and standing behind the podium. - And I realised that I have something more to offer this world than what can blow it up. Therefore, I intend to announce that I am shutting down weapons production at Stark International's factories! Until such time as I am able to determine the future of the company....

The last words the woman said, when almost everyone present raised an orc above the mountains. I didn't listen to the rest, because the main thing had been said.

- Wow, Stark refused to sell weapons. What is the world coming to? These are interesting times we live in. And this is just the beginning of a new era," I said, remembering how fucked up it would be when the Age of Heroes fully arrived.

- That means Antonia is back and she's in great shape! - Stein said, trying to soften the impact of the woman's words.

- Hard to argue Mr Smith," Colson agreed with me, smiling.

- Hmm, and you are...?

- Phil Colson of the Sixth Intervention Tactical-Operational Logistics Service," the man said without hesitation.

- What a name," I said, wrinkling my face.

- You're not the first person who doesn't like it," the man said with a friendly smile. - It was a pleasure to meet you, but I must bow out. Business is slow. Goodbye, Mr Smith.

- Goodbye Mr Colson," said the agent.

Well, I've been to another turning point, and now it's time to monitor Stark Industries. Having given out the necessary orders, I went home, where I discussed it with my mother. She was initially surprised at my desire to buy Stark Industries shares, which had already started to fall, but I was able to convince her that it was a good investment. Antonia could definitely pull out, and declaring herself Iron Man would raise her profile along with the stock price. All we have to do is wait for the price to drop more than 50%.

While Stark was making her new suit, I was setting up the dimension I'd found. As it turned out, in several places it is connected by passageways to other worlds and even to Earth. I could see where the animals, water, air and plants came from. But they were all so far out in the middle of nowhere that no one had probably ever found them. The only problem was that at least one of the dimensions that had a passageway to where my base was was inhabited by humans. It was possible that they even knew about this world, but due to its uselessness they didn't do anything about it. I'm better off, though.

As soon as all the blockers were ready, I sealed off the dimension, leaving the ability to teleport only with my devices. All other methods couldn't make their way through. In a few days, the first batch of construction robots will be ready to build the most necessary parts of the base. And the rest would be done a little later.

All this time construction materials, all kinds of machinery and the most necessary things for human habitation were transferred to my dimension. It's good to have a company that is actively rebuilding now. You can buy a lot of stuff and if a small part of it goes missing, nobody will even know. Especially if you have people working for you who can't blab.

As I recall, Iron Man's first appearance is in a few months. During that time, I'll gain subordinates, influence, useful acquaintances and debtors. And I was going to do just the last two things in a few days, at a charity event organised by a very wealthy, elderly lady.

But I needed a companion for this affair. Making sure Aki was at her place and teleported to the door of her house. Not twenty seconds after I knocked, I heard a brisk stomp and the girl looked out.

- Kai, great dude! - Aki exclaimed, jumping into my arms and kissing me on the lips.

- Hey dude. Didn't miss you? - I asked smiling, hugging her tightly and lifting her slightly off the floor.

- I missed you, actually," Aki grumbled when I let her go and elbowed me in the side. Then she put the back of her hand to her forehead and sang in a pathetic tone, one eye squinting at me. - You left your girlfriend to her fate! Oh, how I suffered!

- Ha-ha-ha-ha! You're such an actress!- Okay, enough of standing in the doorway, let's go inside," Aki said with a wide smile after my words, making an inviting gesture.

- I can't feel your mum. Are you alone?

- Mm-hmm. She's away on business," the girl replied, standing in the middle of the room as I sat down on the sofa. - Would you like some tea, with pastries? I made it myself, by the way!

- Tea? - Trying not to smile, I asked the proudly puffed up girl.

- Pastries! - Aki replied indignantly, hovering over me so that my face was in close proximity to her cleavage.

- Okay, okay! - I backtracked, squinting my eyes at her neckline. - It's a joke. Give me your pastries!

- That's right!

She put the kettle water on, and put something like a pie with no topping or a pizza with apple slices laid out in a continuous layer on top. At the same time, a very appetising smell began to spread in the kitchen where I had followed Aki into.

- Hmm, it's kind of like a tart. Or am I confused?

- That's right," the girl said, cutting off a decent piece of the dish. - It's an apple tart.

- You never told me you could cook. What kind of secrets are these from your boyfriend? - I asked her with playful offence.

- Naturally, I was taught to cook for my future husband," Aki replied with a sad sigh, taking out the cups. - I just don't really like to do it, so I didn't tell you. What's cool about it? It's not like kicking some hooligan's arse!

- Indeed," I agreed with her with a chuckle. - How can cooking compare to such a cool activity?

- There! You know what I mean, bro! - Aki said, pretending not to notice the sarcasm. - You can tell you're my boyfriend! Here you go.

Taking the offered treat, he immediately tasted it.

- Um! This is delicious! - I was surprised to say, as soon as I chewed the first piece. - Did you put cinnamon in it?

- Yeah," Aki said as she sat down, supporting her head with her hand and looking at me with an interesting expression.

- Thank you, it was delicious. Listen, what other talents of yours don't I know about? - I asked, quickly savoring the deliciousness.

- You're welcome. I've already told you about everything else," she said, watching me intently. - Do you want more?

- Of course!

- You know, now I think I understand what Mum was talking about. Cooking for someone really is much more enjoyable," Aki said, without any boyishness, when I'd finished the second piece.

- So I can count on something like this in the future? - I asked her hopefully. Sure, I could buy any kind of food from world-famous chefs, but I'd eat my girlfriend's cooking much more willingly.

- Only if you ask nicely," Aki said with a smile from ear to ear.

- I'll know. Well, that's enough of that deliciousness. Aki, I'm invited to a charity event in four days. And I hope you'll keep me company. I don't want to ask anyone else but you.

- A gathering of bigwigs? - Aki asked with a grin. I nodded. - It can't be helped. If it's going to be like this, I'll have to go. Then I'll have to pick out some outfits. Hmm... Do you have something black and red?

- I did. Why?

- Text me a picture and if it fits, then I don't have to pick it out.

- What's the problem with just showing me your dress?

- I want to surprise you," said the smiling girl, folding her arms under her breasts.

- Well, whatever you say. If anything goes wrong, I'll use my powers to cover us with an illusion.

- That's good! Now, let's talk about something more interesting.

So I stayed at Aki's house for a couple of hours until we decided to kiss before teleporting. And that was the moment Aunt Naomi chose to come back. The unequivocally stupid title of Weirdness came into play here as well. After hearing many jokes from the smiling woman, I said goodbye to the ladies and teleported back to my room.

Without putting it off, I decided to sort out my clothes for the evening right away. Finding the costume I told the girl about, I dressed up and took a picture of myself. Aki on the other hand looked at the picture and wrote that everything was fine and nothing would need to be changed.

The days until the charity event went by quickly. I didn't get bored. I mostly focused on working with the dimension I had found. In that time, my robots had almost finished the base part there. They looked only partially humanoid, painted yellow with elements of black, with animal-like curved legs and long arms that reached almost to the floor. The head part was in the front on the chest. And I have to say, I didn't regret making them. These guys worked pretty well.

And on the appointed day and hour, I waited at the entrance to the building where the evening would take place until Aki arrived. Even managed to do a few short interviews. And just when I was beginning to worry that there was some kind of trouble, the car of the girl's mother pulled up.

Aki herself got out right away, and I almost opened my mouth in surprise. Right now, the girl didn't have any of the kid's vibe at all. Instead, she looked very feminine in a tight-fitting, hair-coloured red dress, ankle-length and cut to the middle of her left thigh. Her right arm, on the other hand, was completely bare. Aki's hair was slicked back to the right, partially hiding her eye. The girl was also holding a small black coloured clutch.

- What's up? - She asked flirtatiously as she came closer.

- No words. Just no words! - I replied in astonishment, taking Aki's hand. - And you said you had no more secrets from me.

- I told you that I was taught in the clan everything a true aristocrat should know. And naturally, all those social gatherings and so on were on the programme," Aki said in a velvet voice, smiling softly.

What a transformation. Seriously, it's like it's her twin sister who is the opposite of my girlfriend. That said, she acted like she'd been hanging around the big shots all her life. I sensed no excitement from her, just a bit of boredom. I also noticed one interesting thing.

- Speaking of which, is it just me, or are you not wearing any underwear right now?

- Who knows? - the girl said mysteriously.

So we walked around for another hour or so, meeting various people. Met Hammer, Fisk, Osborne, and a few other notables. Noticed a dishevelled Obadiah Steyn, who was apparently trying to prove to people that the company was fine. And then I felt a strong Desire. As I turned towards that strong feeling, I saw the very lady who had organised the evening.

Her name was Vanessa Moore. The woman looked quite old, which was not surprising. She was a hundred years old. For the locals, that age wasn't unheard of, especially with the amount of money the rich woman had. Hmm, is this my first customer? Well, I think I should hook the fish.

I went into the bathroom and created a clone of myself, then changed the clone's appearance to that of a respectable man, about 35 years old, and went to Miss Moore while the original body went to Aki. The woman had just stepped out onto a small balcony and was looking at the guests, emitting such a mess of emotions that I didn't even immediately realise what her Desire was about.

After spending a few minutes deciphering it, I realised without much surprise that Vanessa simply wanted youth. Not surprising. Having so much power and resources, for which you can get almost anything, but not a second life was depressing to her. Though perhaps if she had the brains, she could get what she wanted by agreeing to my proposal.

Coming closer, I could examine the woman more closely. She looked about 60-70 years old, had dyed red hair and more or less smooth face, with a lean figure. The plastic surgeons had done their best. In addition to the surgeries on her appearance, half of her organs were foreign.

- Miss Moore, good evening! - greeted the woman with the kindest of smiles.

- Good evening mister? - the woman asked, scrutinising me. If her emotions were to be believed, I was mentally weighed, measured, and deemed worthy of companionship.

- Alexander Redgrave," I called myself by a false name.

- Alexander Redgrave..." Vanessa said savouring the name. - No, I'd never heard of it before.

- No wonder. I'm not really known in wide circles. Yet. But I hope that will change soon, for my abilities allow it.

- Oh, yeah? And what are your opportunities? - asked the woman, however, without much interest, rather out of boredom.

- Wish fulfilment," I said, smiling ingenuously. - I even approached you, feeling an incredibly strong Desire. A wish for a second youth.

- Are you a joker, Mr Redgrave? - Vanessa asked coldly.

- You what?! - I said offended. - How could you? I can really do what I said I could do. I think I should show you what I can do!

- What? - Vanessa started to ask as I grabbed her arm.

Immediately, a stream of Light poured into the woman's body, which was supposed to temporarily rejuvenate her cells by 60 years. Temporarily, of course, until the energy ran out. If usually I transfer Light into the soul and mind without special conditions, this time I pumped it into the body with a certain message, so Moore would not have the opportunity to receive E.G.O..

The first change was the woman's hair. Their colour became so rich that it barely reached red. The eyes were next, becoming a dark brown shade. The skin tightened and even looked silky in appearance. The lips took on a brightness and sensuality. Last came the body changes. And there, too, everything was more than all right. Yeah, the lady was a real fire in her youth.

- "Take my card," I said to the stunned woman. - In case you want to take advantage of my offer.

When I finished speaking, I created a small plate with the help of Light, shimmering with all the colours of the rainbow.

- All you have to do is squeeze it in your hands and wish to see me. And I will immediately appear before your eyes! - he recited, holding out the record. Only Moore did not hurry to take it, because she was engrossed in groping her rejuvenated body. - Mind you, this is a once-in-a-lifetime offer. I think you know how hard it is to extend your life a little longer.Hearing my last words, the woman still managed to distract herself and carefully took the business card, putting it in her purse, looking at me with a mixture of all sorts of emotions.

- That's great! And don't worry, no one around you will see your new look. I've hidden it well with an illusion. And now I must go. Have a good evening Miss Moore! - as I commanded the copy to dissolve.

- And... And to you, Mr Redgrave.....

The woman watched with interest as the body opposite her slowly disappeared. I decided to make a fool of myself, and the last thing to vanish was my eyes and my wide smiling mouth. In the style of the Cheshire Cat, so to speak.

At the same time, I was having a great time with Aki, who had transformed into a socialite. I liked this change of image and behaviour, although the same kid was somehow more familiar. In any case, this evening went quite well, first of all thanks to the girl. But also a potential client, together with some useful acquaintances significantly increased the useful output from today's event. Vanessa Moore, by the way, I also met in my original body. The woman at this point was somewhat aloof and hovering somewhere far away. And I think I know why.

Towards the end of the evening, having donated a considerable amount of money to charity, I drove Aki home. Upon reaching my destination, the girl kissed me passionately and jumped out of the car.

- What a damn girl," I muttered in admiration, to the approving words of security guard Lisa and driver Diana.

After the charity event, I busied myself with adding to my bond with the contract workers. I could feel them at all times, while they were only at my beck and call. But I wanted to make it so that one contract worker could identify another. Not all of them would be familiar with the rest of the organisation, which could make some assignments go wrong. I've heard that there are clashes like this in intelligence, when two agents work in the same territory, but they don't know about each other. It had to be stopped immediately. And in about two days, I was able to alter the communication properties to my liking.

Barely had I got the hang of it when I felt the call. Vanessa Moore had made up her mind even sooner than I thought. Although, most likely, as soon as the first signs of aging began to appear, she immediately became alarmed and didn't want to lose her youth. Well, as a gentleman, I won't keep the lady waiting. Taking the form of Alexander Redgrave, I teleported to the call of my card.

I found myself in a very richly furnished room, albeit without pretentiousness. Opposite me stood Vanessa, dressed in seemingly modest clothes that nevertheless excited me more than a naked body. Visually, the woman looked almost the same as she had at the end of our last meeting. Except for the tiny wrinkles in her skin, which you couldn't see that easily.

- Miss Moore! - I exclaimed joyfully. It's good to see you. You look radiant today.

- Thank you, Mr Redgrave," Vanessa said charmingly, adopting a pose that made my blood pressure rise. - And it's a pleasure to have you in my home. Please, make yourself comfortable.

She pointed to a carved armchair made of expensive-looking wood. I didn't argue and sat down. Moore asked what I wanted, then poured me tea and began to ask me about all sorts of things, slowly getting to the main topic of the evening.

- I would like to know what you want for full rejuvenation, - said the woman, finally coming to the point, after half an hour of talking. - You can rejuvenate me not only for a while, can't you?

- I can not only rejuvenate you, but also give you a body that will live for a very, very long time. But for that, I want everything.

- What everything? - Moore asked in confusion.

- Everything you have. Your money, your influence, your property. Even your body, mind, and soul.

- You don't trifle," the woman said coldly, considering my words. - Isn't it too much? Usually in such cases they want only the soul.

- I'm not a foul thing that feeds on them. And why should you worry? You'll get a second chance, and that's priceless. And I won't take away all your hard, honest labour, - he said smiling. - All this will stay with you, just when necessary will serve me in one form or another. For example, I will need you to influence some politician or to buy a certain business. And there's a lot of other cases you could think of.

- And yet the price is too high," Vanessa said unhappily.

- And I think it's absolutely justified," I disagreed, earning an annoyed look. I ignored it, though. I was more necessary to the woman than she was to me, because there were plenty of such moneybags with problems, and only one executor of desires. I continued in a rather sinister tone. - I am a monopolist in this market, therefore, I can demand any amount. And you can be sure that it will be paid. You're afraid of death yourself. Yes, yes, I see it as clearly as you see me now. You fear what lies on the other side of existence. And you're right in your fears. Nothing good awaits you there, believe me. Many of the things described in the Bible are more than real. You can draw your own conclusions.

- ... - Vanessa was tensely silent, not even trying to parry my words.

- You're giving up a paper cut for the opportunity to eat whatever you want, without having to watch your cholesterol, sugar, or any other crap in your blood. You won't have to fear aging organ failure and the possibility of dying due to a weakened immune system as immunosuppressants undermine your body. You won't have to worry about just dying during the organ transplant. And the cherry on top of the cake. You won't see contempt in the eyes of others for wanting to look young. Instead, you'll be coveted by all sexually mature people as if you were a juicy steak instead of a withered piece of meat.

Having uttered this tirade, I started to enjoy my tea. Yes, it's certainly not Samara, I mean not Gerda's tea, but it's okay too. But it's still not the same tea. Yeah, it's not the right tea. And while I was thinking about drinks, the woman was thinking hard. I even switched off empathy out of sin, as her emotions were changing in her head at an incredible speed.

- Can you explain what will happen to me and my property if I agree to this? - Moore asked after about ten minutes of intense deliberation, during which I did not rush the woman.

- You will not be able to harm me in any way. What is yours will be mine. And I'm not going to take it all away. No, you will dispose of your former property, you just have to be prepared to give some of it to me. In return, I will strengthen your body to superhuman levels. No disease, no poisons, no drugs. You'll live to be 300 years old, maybe more if you prove your undoubted usefulness. I'll also provide guards capable of handling even the strongest mutants. Are you ready to answer me now?

- Yes... I agree," Vanessa said firmly, looking at her still young hands. - But my appearance will change. What do we do in that case?

- Very simple. I will create your full copy, which will play you. You'll have to identify yourself as some distant relative or something. Gradually all connections will pass to you, and the copy will "die" from old age.

- All right," Miss Moore agreed. - I even have connections who can make it all go away cleanly.

- Then there's one last formality. Sign this Contract and the deal is done.

I produced a white parchment sheet in my hand, scribbled with all the terms we'd talked about, and held it out to the woman. She read it carefully for about ten minutes, making sure there was no text written in small print. After careful inspection, Vanessa looked at me with a mute question. I, however, produced a fountain pen and handed it to the woman. Miss Moore quickly read the terms of the Contract once more and signed it. At the same moment, my power activated, transforming the woman into a superhuman like Rogers and making her look even more perfect than before. After changing Vanessa's body, an old copy of her appeared that was supposed to represent the old woman.

- Perfect," I said contentedly. - Now you can say goodbye to old age for the next three hundred years!

- My body is so light, as if I weighed nothing! - said the woman admiringly, running over to a large curtained mirror.

Immediately Vanessa began to twist from side to side, trying to see her shape. She liked what she saw very much, as she began to shriek periodically, groping the bulging parts of her body. Though perhaps the hormones of the young, new body were to blame, as they were much more powerful than usual.

I stayed out of the way, enjoying watching this performance. Still, Moore was very hot. Luckily she quickly calmed down and was even embarrassed by her behaviour.

- This is incredible! Even during my first rejuvenation I didn't feel this good! I think that's something to celebrate Mr Redgrave! I'd like to check my resistance to poisons. And something else," Vanessa said in a velvety voice, stepping closer to me and turning her feminine charms on high. She stroked her body with such sensuality that I had no illusions about what she wanted to check out.

- I'd love to keep you company, but great things are not waiting," I said, smiling casually.

- Too bad," Moore murmured in a frustrated voice, standing up to emphasise her ample breasts. - Then I hope we can sit down and have something stronger in the future.

- I think we'll still have that opportunity," I said, preparing to teleport away. - But I won't stop you from enjoying your new youth. I'll contact you when the time comes. Or you will be contacted by someone who has signed the Contract with me just as you have. You'll feel it instantly.

- All right, if you say so," Vanessa said with a slightly sour face. - But before you go, please answer one question.

- What is it? - I asked the woman with interest.

- You could have just killed me and created a copy, couldn't you?- I could have.

- Then why didn't you? - Vanessa squinted at me and asked.

- I need subordinates," I answered with a shrug. There were two other reasons, though. I didn't want to just mow people down left and right. Besides, creating and maintaining clones takes energy. But I won't mention those two reasons. - Copies are good, but real people are better.

- That's it. I get it.

- Good day, Miss Moore.

- You too, Mr Redgrave.

Whew, I slipped on the power. But now I can see why she's made such a fortune. If she's so good at running a business, it's no wonder. Oh, well. I guess I should take a little rest, from all this upheaval.
