Chapter 3 - Older Sisters
Su Yu wanted to cultivate immortality, and there wasn’t any special reason for it.
After all, having finally stumbled into a fantastical world like this, settling down to marry someone and become a househusband felt far too pathetic.
In this mortal realm, how much glamour fades into loneliness?
Flowers bloom and wither again.
Riding a sword on the wind, roaming freely between heaven and earth.
A sword immortal—who didn’t have such a dream?
What’s more, there was actually a chance to make it come true.
Stars sparkled in Su Yu’s eyes as his heart swelled with beautiful fantasies of the future.
Just then, a “grrr” sound interrupted.
…
“Sorry, so sorry! Little Qing deserves a thousand deaths for letting the Young Master go hungry. I—”
“Stop, stop, stop!!”
Cutting off the little maid’s apologies, Su Yu said gently, “It’s not your fault.”
Little Qing was deeply touched. Her Young Master was truly different from those flashy men out there.
Spoiled from childhood, arrogant and willful, throwing tantrums over the slightest thing—other men, if neglected even a little, would’ve already turned red-faced, pounding away with their tiny fists in a huff.
But her Young Master? Not only was he stunningly handsome, his personality was so gentle too.
At that thought, Little Qing shyly turned her face away, a delicate blush spreading across her fair cheeks.
Seeing Little Qing’s odd behavior, Su Yu blinked, a bit puzzled.
Soon after, breakfast arrived—four dishes and a soup.
It wasn’t much, but each dish was unimaginably delicious.
A sweet liquid slid down his throat, rushing straight to his brain. Tasting such a flavor for the first time, Su Yu’s eyes lit up, and he couldn’t stop eating.
What kind of heavenly taste was this…?
It was Su Yu’s first time eating something so delectable. A thousand thoughts clogged his throat, yet he couldn’t find words to describe this delight.
Chewing the food lightly, his tender pink tongue naturally brushed over his lips.
Little Qing had never seen her Young Master look so adorable—like a lazy cat—and for a moment, she stared, entranced.
Su Yu guessed that the cuisine in this world was so exquisite not just because of the chefs’ skill, but because of the spiritual energy permeating everything.
He’d had good food before, but for it to be this good, it couldn’t just be about cooking talent.
Sure enough…
“This is spirit beast meat from Miss Qing. It’s incredibly rare—you can’t buy it even with money,” Little Qing said with a hint of pride. “Miss Qing didn’t even send any to the family head. She specifically ordered it just for you, Young Master. Looks like she really dotes on you!”
“…”
Su Yu suddenly felt the food in his bowl lose its appeal.
Couldn’t she phrase it better!?
When a woman was kind to a man, was “dote” really the right word?
And Miss Su Muqing doting on him—why was Little Qing acting so smug about it?
Su Yu had half a mind to refuse this handout.
But the faint aroma wafting from the dishes seemed to beckon him:
Eat me, eat me! Don’t let me go to waste.
Yeah, wasting food was shameful.
Su Yu decided to eat just a little more—just a teensy bit.
He lowered his head and ate quietly.
As he ate, he thought.
Little Qing’s “Miss Qing” was Su Muqing, the older sister of this body. Twenty-one years old and still unmarried.
As the eldest daughter of a prominent family, staying single at her age was frankly unusual.
From his memories, Su Yu pieced together why—and it all came down to him.
No grand reason, just pure pickiness. She couldn’t stand ordinary, tacky suitors.
It made sense. With a brother as gorgeous as a flower by her side day and night, her standards had naturally soared.
Even if they couldn’t match her brother, they’d at least need to come close, right?
But someone on Su Yu’s level of beauty? You wouldn’t find another in all of Qiluo City.
Even the next tier down—Su Muqing might fancy them, but they might not fancy her!
Men of that caliber were snatched up early by exceptional women.
I’ve raised this delicate flower so long—how dare you try to swoop in?
Though the Su family was a notable clan, it wasn’t among the very top.
Add to that Su Muqing’s fatal flaw: her chest was as flat as a board, practically an airstrip.
In this world, a woman without a full bust was basically considered crippled.
Recalling this, Su Yu’s expression turned subtle.
He wanted to say flat chests had their charm, but on second thought, he wasn’t into them either. If he had a choice, he’d prefer his future wife to be…
Su Yu’s face reddened. He gave in to his true desires—who didn’t like them big? A washboard wasn’t exactly pleasant to the touch!
“Sister Qing hasn’t come by, has she?”
Little Qing nodded. “Miss Qing seems taken with the Xu family’s young master lately. She’s been too busy to visit. If you miss her, Young Master, I can go fetch her.”
“No need, no need!”
Su Yu shook his head hastily.
He was just checking if that troublesome figure would show up, so he could plan ahead.
In his memories, his eldest sister, Su Muqing, treated him with utmost courtesy—whatever he wanted, she gave, spoiling him to the heavens.
His second sister, Su Mengyi, doted on him too, but unlike Su Muqing, she loved getting handsy.
Teasing him, toying with him, delighting in his flustered reactions…
She had a nasty habit of smothering him with her chest.
Su Yu figured if they weren’t blood siblings, she’d have long since “absorbed” him into her body.
After all, Su Mengyi’s reputation in Qiluo City wasn’t exactly stellar.
A notorious flirt, she toyed with countless “little brothers.”
“Once you’re done eating, Young Master, rest in the inner room. I’ll clean up. Oh, and Sister Bailian said she left something for you on the table.”
Su Yu nodded and asked, “What is it?”
Little Qing shook her head. “Sister Bailian wouldn’t let me look.”
Su Yu paused, curiosity piqued.
After finishing his meal and freshening up, he stepped into the room and glanced at the table. There sat a thick book, its cover emblazoned with the words: How Should Boys Protect Themselves?
“What’s this?”
Reaching out with snowy-white fingers, Su Yu flipped it open, intrigued. Inside were tales of naive, pure-hearted noble boys—unschooled in the ways of the world—deceived by cunning, jaded women, only to fall victim to their schemes and be drained dry by those heartless vixens.
Reading through, the book hammered home one point over and over:
Women couldn’t be trusted. Their minds held nothing but lust.
To sate their selfish desires, they’d commit vile acts, abducting innocent boys in heinous crimes that happened all too often.
Boys had to protect themselves and never let women take advantage…
It even included “Thirty-Six Techniques to Guard Against Women.” Browsing through, Su Yu’s eyes widened in amazement.
But…
“What’s the point of giving me this book?”
