"You definitely look familiar, but I almost didn't recognize you with that mask!" Nyamu admitted a bit sheepishly.

Looking at Saku Kamigawa now, she found herself even more tempted to get him to appear in one of her videos.

"Sorry about that; I wore it just to avoid any potential trouble while we're browsing around the music store," Saku explained, pulling out a pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap from his bag.

"I'm not just relying on the mask. I came prepared with these, too," he said, holding them up.

With this disguise, even people who knew him well might not recognize him—let alone anyone who just knew him online.

"Trouble? What kind of trouble could shopping for instruments bring?" Nyamu wondered aloud, then asked, "Don't tell me, Saku—you're actually some kind of famous idol, besides being an influencer?"

With his face covered in such a "mysterious" getup, he really looked like he could be an idol.

"You'll be filming, right?" Saku asked, nodding to her phone. "If you get some great footage but accidentally catch me in it, I can't really expect you to delete it, right?"

"Besides, you're always posting on social media, so if we bump into a fan, it might cause some confusion seeing you with a random guy. That could affect your image."

Being a female influencer, it was better to avoid situations that could lead to misunderstandings.

"Aww, that's so considerate. You're really thoughtful," Nyamu teased with a mock-pout.

Saku easily caught the teasing tone and replied, "And I'm being considerate of myself. I don't need the extra hassle either."

"Don't worry about it. We'll just say you're my little brother," she quipped.

"Good idea, but let's hope we don't have to use that excuse."

Saku didn't mind posing as the "little brother" of Nyamu, who was in college, but he'd rather enjoy browsing instruments peacefully and focus on building rapport.

"Yep, agreed," she replied, nodding.

"Are you done filming your intro?" Saku asked, adjusting his mask and putting on the cap and sunglasses.

Nyamu nodded. "All done!"

"But are you sure it's okay to film inside the store?" Saku reminded her. "Did you talk to the owner?"

"No worries—I got permission in advance."

Being a pro influencer, Nyamu had already covered all the details. She'd even agreed with the owner to capture the store's name at the beginning of the video—no further mention necessary. Free advertising always worked wonders.

"Good," Saku replied, now reassured.

"You know, we almost look like a couple on a date," Nyamu teased as she looked at herself and Saku on her phone screen.

"Couples don't usually spend a whole date with one person recording the other," Saku shot back with a laugh. "Unless they're couple bloggers, of course."

"Oh? Then maybe I should put the phone away," Nyamu said, as if she were about to stow the selfie stick and phone.

Saku watched her without a word, his expression calm and unreadable.

"You're not going to stop me?" Nyamu asked, taken aback.

"Why would I?" Saku had already seen through her plan. "Besides, I seriously doubt you'd actually stop filming."

What was she taking him for? Some gullible high school kid?

She'd even spent extra time on the intro alone; if she was claiming she wouldn't shoot the main video, who would believe her? It was obvious she was just teasing.

"How cold-hearted! Don't you know you're supposed to stop me? A little thoughtfulness would go a long way," Nyamu said, playfully schooling him. "Maybe if you'd tried to stop me, I'd have been so touched I'd fall for you on the spot."

Heh, she'd underestimated him. She'd assumed dealing with a high schooler would be easy, but it looked like she'd have to take things up a notch.

"I'd do that—if I wanted you to fall for me," Saku replied, lowering his sunglasses slightly to look at her with a mischievous smile. "Or were you hoping I'd fall for you?"

"Come on, I was just kidding!" Nyamu laughed, keeping her tone light. "Just for the record, I'm not interested in dating high schoolers."

"That's good to know."

Perfect—another valuable piece of information. Since she wasn't interested in younger guys, he could stop worrying about Nyamu suddenly catching feelings for him. From the start, he'd been well outside her type.

"Wait, are you actually worried that I'd try something with you?" Nyamu asked, eyebrows raised.

Saku smirked. "It crossed my mind."

"So that's how you see me, huh?"

As she mentally reviewed all her interactions with him, Nyamu had to admit he might have reason to be cautious. She'd been pretty friendly, which could've come across the wrong way.

"Just kidding. I've been treating you as a friend this whole time," Saku replied, testing the waters. "I just wasn't sure what you thought."

"I feel the same," Nyamu answered warmly.

After all, the chance to befriend an influencer with over 600,000 followers was nothing to turn down.

"That's great. I think we'll make really good friends," Saku said, genuinely hopeful.

"Yeah," Nyamu agreed with a smile.
