Chapter 295: Loan Usury To The Legendary Fat Sheep
The Gambling Debt
"Ding! Please choose!"
"1. Play as a daimyo! Reward: Summoning Beast—Fire Wing Dragon!"
"2. Play as a member of the Akatsuki organization! Reward: Summoning Beast—Shenhuo Kite!"
"3. Play as Hokage! Reward: Summoning Beast—Phoenix!"
A system notification suddenly echoed in Finn's mind.
"Huh?"
Finn frowned slightly, realizing something felt off.
These were Summoning beasts being offered as rewards!
Without a doubt, the Phoenix must be the best option. If he wanted a Phoenix as a Summoning beast, he would need to play as the Hokage in Konoha.
"System, does that mean I have to be the Hokage from now on?" Finn asked aloud.
He didn't mind playing as Hokage for a short time, but if he had to remain in that position indefinitely, it would be troublesome.
"Don't worry, Host. You only need to sit in the Hokage's seat once to get the reward. Even if you decide to leave right afterward, there's no problem," the system replied.
"Ah, I see."
Hearing this, Finn felt relieved.
"If that's the case, I'll be Hokage for a few days and claim my reward!"
The next day, Finn left the super battleship and made his way to Konoha Village alone.
Nami, Robin, and the others initially planned to accompany him, but Finn asked them to stay behind and handle any remaining loose ends on the super battleship.
He couldn't bring too many people into Konoha—after all, it would look like an invasion if he did.
So, he decided to go alone.
Two days later, Finn found himself hovering over a city.
After contemplating for a moment, he descended from the clouds and landed in the city.
The cities in the Hokage world were a far cry from the advanced cities in the Pirate world. After walking for two days straight, Finn decided to take a break and gather some information.
Not long after, a casino appeared in front of him.
Casinos were known for their wide array of information—though it was often difficult to distinguish fact from fiction.
For Finn, however, discerning the truth from lies was never a challenge.
He entered the casino, his eyes scanning the bustling interior.
Shouts and laughter filled the air as people bet their money, hoping for a lucky win.
Gamblers from all walks of life surrounded the tables—some were unemployed, others had serious jobs.
As Finn swept his gaze across the crowd, something caught his eye.
His eyes locked onto a woman sitting at one of the roulette tables, the word "GAMBLING" emblazoned on the back of her attire.
"Wait... is that her?"
Finn couldn't believe it. He had actually run into Tsunade! His luck was truly something else.
At the table, Tsunade placed her remaining bankroll on number 13.
"Big! Big! Big!" she shouted excitedly, watching the croupier slowly reveal the hole card.
The crowd around her was equally hyped. Some were cheering, while others were shouting numbers and placing bets.
"7 o'clock! Little!" a voice called out.
The croupier called out the points, revealing the result.
"Ahh!" Tsunade groaned, holding her head in her hands with the expression of a defeated gambler.
"Damn it! I'll turn the book over next time!" she exclaimed, frustrated.
Looking around at the other gamblers, she cried out, "Who will lend me some money? I need to win back what I lost!"
The people around her immediately began to back away. Lending money to Tsunade was considered a fool's move—she was known as the legendary "fat sheep" who always lost all her winnings.
"Who would lend you money?" one man muttered. "We all know you'll lose it all, Tsunade."
Despite being a formidable fighter, Tsunade was notorious for her gambling debts.
Everyone knew that once she lost money, it was impossible to get it back.
Frustrated, Tsunade banged the table. "Fine, I'll come back and win it all once I get the money together!" she said, preparing to leave.
Just then, a hand extended a wad of money toward her.
The casino-goers' eyes widened in disbelief.
"How much is that?" one person gasped.
"That's got to be at least 100,000!" another muttered.
"Is this guy for real?" someone whispered. "Lending money to Tsunade? Is he out of his mind?"
Finn's calm demeanor contrasted sharply with the shocked reactions of those around him. He walked up to the table, his expression impassive.
Tsunade's eyes lit up. "Thank you!" she said, eagerly accepting the money as if it might disappear at any moment.
The person who lent her the money was, of course, Finn.
Before leaving Konoha Village, he had a sudden idea. With his experience in the Hokage world, he decided to ask Hyuga Hiashi for a sum of money as a precautionary measure.
He had already taken care of Orochimaru and others in Konoha, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to gather funds from the village.
After all, with the worlds of Hokage and Pirate merging, he could use a little extra money.
And now, it had come in handy.
Just as Tsunade prepared to place her bet, Finn stopped her.
"Hey, I've given you the money, but I need you to sign a loan contract," Finn said, placing a document on the table.
Tsunade turned to look at it. "Sorry, I won't be a minister," she replied casually.
"Then just press your thumbprint here," Finn said, placing a red ink pad in front of her.
Tsunade sighed, slightly annoyed, but shrugged. "Fine, whatever."
She pressed her thumbprint, and without hesitation, she started placing her bets again.
As expected, she lost all of the 100,000 in less than half an hour.
"Damn it! I was so close! I'm sure I'll hit it next time!" she grumbled, slapping her forehead.
She turned to Finn and held out her hand. "Hey, do you have more money? Lend me some more."
Without a word, Finn pulled out another 100,000 and handed it to her.
"Here! Press your thumbprint, and you can get your money back," Finn urged.
Tsunade grinned, impressed by Finn's generosity. "You're a nice guy!" she said with a thumbs-up.
This time, she lost even faster.
In just ten minutes, the second 100,000 was gone.
"Alright, here's 500,000 this time! Thumbprint, please!" she said, her tone desperate.
A few minutes later, it was one million.
Tsunade was on a roll, losing faster than ever.
By dawn, she had lost nearly all the money.
"Ugh, damn it! Another five million! This time, I'll win it all back!" Tsunade shouted, holding her hand out once again.
But this time, Finn didn't continue lending her money. Instead, he spoke flatly.
"Ms. Tsunade, you already owe me 87.6 million. How are you planning to pay it back?"
Tsunade froze.
The gamble was over—but it was only just beginning.
