I Choose In The One Piece Class, Do I Have A Choice?

Chapter 294: Devil Fruit Energy Can Also Revive Ten Tails!

The Devil Fruit Revelation

"Devil Fruit? What is this?" Deidara asked, looking at the strange fruit with a mix of curiosity and confusion.

Uchiha Itachi, ever composed, explained, "According to the individuals we captured, this fruit comes from the depths of the sea. Eating it grants magical abilities."

"Magical powers, huh?" Hidan spoke up, his voice dripping with skepticism. "How powerful are we talking about? Can it really compare to our own escape techniques?"

Hoshigaki Kisame, standing nearby, interjected, "I can't say if it's on the level of Jōnin techniques, but one of the people we fought against was able to turn their body into steel to withstand our attacks."

Hearing this, Kakuzu frowned. "Turn his body into steel? That sounds more like a Bloodline Limit than ordinary ninjutsu."

As the group continued discussing, Payne suddenly spoke, his tone sharp. "Hmm?"

The others turned their attention to him. "What's wrong, Payne?" asked Uchiha Itachi. "Do you sense something?"

Payne closed his eyes, tightly gripping the Devil Fruit in his palm as he concentrated. After a moment, he opened his eyes and spoke, his voice calm but intense. "This fruit... it contains powerful energy."

"Oh?" Hidan's eyes gleamed with interest. "So what Uchiha Itachi said is true. Eating this fruit really gives you power?"

Hidan's fascination was evident. His own abilities were dependent on the blood sacrifices of his enemies, but this fruit—if it could really grant powerful abilities—could be a game-changer.

"Is it Chakra energy?" Kisame asked, his voice filled with suspicion.

Payne shook his head slowly. "No, this energy isn't Chakra. But it's undeniable—this energy is powerful, comparable to Chakra in its own way."

The room fell silent as everyone processed this information. Then, Payne's next words caught their attention.

"Perhaps this could help us resurrect the Ten Tails ahead of schedule."

A slight shock rippled through the group, as the implications of Payne's words settled in. Uchiha Itachi's eyes narrowed, and he pointed at the Devil Fruit. "Do you mean to use it to replenish the Gedo Statue's energy?"

The others quickly realized what Payne was implying. Their eyes turned to him, waiting for confirmation.

"Yes," Payne said. "The energy in this Devil Fruit may be of a different nature than Chakra, but it is still a form of energy. We should try it and see what happens."

With that, Payne placed the Devil Fruit at the center of a large sealing barrier. He jumped into position, and one by one, the others took their places.

Moments later, they initiated the formation. Just like extracting the energy from the Jinchūriki, the energy from the Devil Fruit began to flow. It surged toward the Gedo Statue, slowly merging with it.

As time passed, the energy from the fruit was fully absorbed, and the flow ceased. Everyone stopped channeling their chakra.

"It's done," Payne said calmly, his eyes still locked on the statue.

Hoshigaki Kisame grinned, his excitement palpable. "It worked! This will make things so much easier."

Payne nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yes. Compared to the tailed beast Jinchūriki, who are protected by the major nations, this fruit seems much easier to obtain."

Uchiha Itachi furrowed his brow, still processing the situation. "This is strange. The chakra of the Nine Tails can be fused to resurrect the Ten Tails, because the Nine Tails have a specific connection with the Gedo Statue. But how does this Devil Fruit fit into the equation?"

Payne's voice remained steady. "We know the information we have about the Ten Tails is incomplete. Perhaps the key to the resurrection isn't just in the chakra of the tailed beasts. This fruit might be the missing piece. It may not be the complete answer, but it could be a crucial part of the puzzle."

Kisame, always the pragmatist, nodded thoughtfully. "At least, for now, it's clear that this fruit is powerful. If it can replenish the Gedo Statue's energy, then it's worth exploring further."

Payne agreed. "Exactly. Since the Gedo Statue still has the seals from the other tailed beasts, once the energy is fully restored, the seals might unlock, and the Ten Tails could be resurrected."

Uchiha Itachi, ever focused, rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "If this works, perhaps we should shift our focus. Instead of hunting tailed beasts, we could search for more of these Devil Fruits."

"I'm on board with that," Hidan said eagerly.

"I agree," Deidara chimed in. "Finding more of these fruits could make our task much easier."

Payne surveyed the group, his sharp eyes sweeping over his comrades. "Anyone else have any objections?"

"No objections here," Kisame said, shrugging.

"Same," said Scorpion, his voice calm.

"Then it's settled," Payne declared. "We'll search the seas for more of these Devil Fruits. Let's get going."

"Understood," came the unified response.

As the group prepared to depart, they left the hidden barrier and dispersed, ready to take action.

Meanwhile, on the Hokage continent, the strange fruits began to appear in inconspicuous locations. Their strange patterns made them stand out, though the inhabitants of the Hokage world wouldn't recognize them immediately.

If anyone from the One Piece world had been there, they would have instantly identified them as Devil Fruits.

Though the Hokage world's people didn't know about Devil Fruits, they weren't unfamiliar with the concept of strange fruits. Some were already intrigued, eager to taste these mysterious new fruits.
