Chapter 287: The Opponent's Background Is Too Great!
"But..."
Hyuga Hiashi looked at Hyūga Hinata with tears in his eyes, his voice choked with emotion.
Hyūga Hinata smiled softly, her demeanor calm and reassuring. "Daddy, if Second Uncle could sacrifice himself for the sake of our clan, why can't I do the same for Konoha? Compared to that, this isn't even a real sacrifice."
She spread her hands in a lighthearted gesture. "Besides, he only wants us to be his students. How is that even a sacrifice?"
Hiashi's tears fell freely as he looked at his daughter, pride and heartbreak mingling in his gaze. "You're right… You're absolutely right."
He felt a surge of pride swell within him. To have such a wise and courageous daughter, one who put the needs of the many above her own, was the true legacy of the Hyuga clan.
"Very well," Hiashi said at last, his voice trembling. "I agree to your request."
Deep down, Hiashi knew he had no choice. Finn was not someone they could afford to cross. Even though Finn's outward demeanor appeared reasonable, Hiashi understood the truth: no one that powerful let go of what they desired easily.
Hiashi clenched his fists, his resolve hardening. "But I must make this clear—if Hyūga Hinata or Hyuga Hanabi are mistreated in any way, I will use every ounce of my strength to fight for them."
Finn smirked slightly, unfazed by Hiashi's declaration. "Understood. Don't worry. I'm a reasonable man."
Just then, the system's voice echoed in Finn's mind:
"Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have received the reward: Massive Rasengan!"
A wave of knowledge and power flooded into Finn's mind. He felt his mastery of the Massive Rasengan settle seamlessly into place, complementing the advanced Sage Mode he had acquired earlier.
With a flicker of movement, Finn vanished from his spot and reappeared beside Hyūga Hinata and Hyuga Hanabi.
The Hyuga family collectively gasped, their breath catching at the sheer speed Finn displayed.
"This… this is terrifying!" someone murmured, their voice barely audible.
Hiashi's hands trembled. Finn's speed was beyond anything even the most seasoned Jōnin could track. But what came next left them utterly dumbfounded.
With a calm expression, Finn reached out and rested a hand on each of the sisters' shoulders. "Since you've agreed, I'll take them now."
Without another word, Finn activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, teleporting himself and the two girls to the deck of his super battleship.
The remaining Hyuga family members stood frozen in shock.
"That was... the Flying Thunder God Technique…" Hiashi whispered, his voice tinged with awe and disbelief.
This was no ordinary ninjutsu. It was a legendary space-time technique developed by the Second Hokage himself. Yet Finn had wielded it with casual ease, like it was second nature.
Hiashi's mind raced. If Finn could use such a technique so effortlessly, who was he really? Could his earlier claim of descending from the Ōtsutsuki clan be true?
Hiashi swallowed hard and steadied himself. "Perhaps… it is a blessing for Hinata and Hanabi to be under his guidance," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
Meanwhile, aboard the battleship, Finn turned to the two girls. "Relax. You'll find that I'm not such a bad teacher," he said with a faint smile.
Back on the shore, Hiashi bowed deeply in the direction of the battleship. "My lord," he called out, "about saving Konoha Village..."
Finn glanced at the distant figure of Hiashi, his expression indifferent. "Let's go," he said to no one in particular.
The system's rewards may have been his primary motivation, but he was still curious about the strange events unfolding in Konoha—especially the supposed revival of Charlotte Linlin and Kaido.
As Finn's massive battleship roared to life, Hiashi and his family scrambled to guide their small boats into the ship's hold. It was another humbling moment as they marveled at the sheer scale and power of Finn's vessel.
The Hyuga family could only watch in awe as the battleship set a course for Konoha at a speed that left their meager crafts far behind.
For better or worse, Finn was now on his way. And with him, the fate of Konoha hung precariously in the balance.
